Hana looked at the new guy and smiled. 'Nice to meet you...' she thought. "I'm Hana." she said and looked at Molly. 'Another mind-reader...' she thought, sending her the message. She was excited. She had never met another mind-reader. He must know the pain of having to listen to the thoughts of others uncontrollably. 'I think I'm gonna get to like this guy...' she thought, knowing the whole time that he could hear her.

"Hana huh?, that's a nice name." Kyle smiled. He heard what Hana said and laughed under his breath. "I think im going to get to like you too.", he smirked. He knew that she knew that he could read minds. A prep from eairlier came back up the rows of tables and came to Kyle. Kyle had cristal blue eyes. So he did one of his 'charm' tricks. When the prep approched him, he stared a long cold stare into her green eyes. Kyle spoke slowly. "Can i help you?". The prep stuttered. "I..I..just wanted to know i..f you wanted to eat lunch..with me and my friends." Kyle's trick worked. When the prep finished her hard to understand sentance, she had a crooked face. One eyebrow rised, messing with her fingers, one eye squinted and the other wide open. She was down right scared. Kyle smiled, "I already have friends to eat lunch with sorry.", he pointed to his new friends. "Them? The freaks?", the prep said irritated like the world was going to end. Carmen stood up as soon as she heard the word freaks and slammed her hands on the table. The class went silent. Pausing their conversations. "It's fine Carmen...". "Listen, I don't appretiate how you talk about people and it would be best if you left. NOW." Now the prep was really scared and embarrassed. She ran out of the classroom redfaced. The two other preps followed behind her. Carmen sat down afterwards. "You ok?", Kyle asked, as the room started to gain back it's conversations but this time about what just happened.

I watched in amazement as the new guy caused the prep discomfort and snickered at confused her face. I didn't hear what she had said but Carmen had suddenly slammed her hands on the table. I looked up and stopped laughing. 'Must have degraded us again.' I thought and sighed. I reached over and pulled her back down into her seat to avoid the teachers attention. While doing that, I didn't notice that a group of preps had been sitting in the seats behind me. One of them, a shallow, snobish-looking kind of girl, grabbed one of my ponytails and yanked me backwards so that my head was ackwardly positioned on her desk. While her friends giggled away, she sneered over me and I, not wanting to risk getting into a fight, phased through her hand and desk to sit properly at my desk again, a slight bruise now on my cheek. 'Didn't want to risk getting suspended, or even expelled, on the first day you know?' I thought, looking at Hana. I heard the preps gasp from behind me at what I did and sighed. "You-! You freak!" the prep screeched. I just shook my head and gathered my books as the bell rang and walked over to Carmen and Hana. "Ready?" I asked, knowing I had next period with them.

Kyle looked at the prep that pulled Molly's hair, with the same cold but now harder stare. As she stood up to exit, Kyle purposly shoved her and she fell into the seat behind her. Kyle didn't look back or say a word to her, not even a sarcastic 'oops'. Kyle walked with his new friends and asked, "so what class do you all have now?"

Hana looked at Kyle then Carmen then Molly then at her books. As the bell rang, she picked her books up and looked at Kyle. "I have English 1 next..." she said. 'Hope we all have classes together...and thanks...' she thought and looked at Kyle with a smile. She looked back over at Molly and Carmen. "How about you two?" she asked.

I saw Kyle knock the prep into a chair and looked at him as he walked over. "Thanks. You didn't have to do that though. I mean...now they're really going to have it out for you." I warned and looked at Hana. "We already showed schedules remember? We have every class together except I have P.E. this year and you guys don't." I reminded her and sighed as we all walked out of the classroom together. I rubbed my cheek and shot one last glare at that dumb prep, who was now checking her makeup in her little mirror. Then, a lighbulb when off inside my head and an impish smirk spread across my face. I had an idea.

Hana smiled and nodded. "Sorry, forgot..." she said. She looked around then at the group. "Well...seems like the preps love messing with you guys...I have yet to be-" as she said that, a prep held out her foot, sending her flat on her face with her books thrown across the hall. The girl laughed as well as her friends as she walked back over to them. Hana looked up and rubbed her forehead. "Ow..." she muttered and tried to get up but her arms gave out and she fell on her face again.

I frowned and walked over to help Hana up. I grabbed her hand and pulled her back onto her feet. 'The preps are getting sneaky this year. You gotta keep a better watch for this kind of stuff 'kay?' I thought, knowing she could read my mind. I sighed and turned to the preps. I grinned and dumped my books into Hana's arms. 'Sorry but you'll thank me later.' I thought to her and dashed after two preps, the one who tripped Hana and the one who yanked my hair, as they rounded a corner. Luckily and for some strange reason, I always keep a pair of scissors in my back pants pocket and I pulled them out. I snuck up behind the preps and hit the pressure points on their backs. They were out like a light and I snickered. 'Wow. It really worked.' I thought and got to work with the scissors. When I was through with them, the one who yanked my hair, who was also wearing a two-ponytail hairstyle, now only had one and the other had half short hair, half long. I burst into a fit of laughter and ran back to my friends, a victorious smile plastered across my face. "Back." I said and laughed as I heard a few suprised and horrified shrieks from around the corner. "Must have woken up." I said and laughed again.

Hana nearly fell again as Molly's books were dumped onto her own. She looked at her as she came back and cocked her head. "Um...ok then..." she said and felt something dripping down her face. She gave Molly's books back to her and put her hand under her nose to feel a nosebleed. She sighed and covered her nose and mouth with her hand. "Nosebleed..." she said in a muffled voice through her hand.

Kyle had a what-the-heck look on his face when Molly gave Hana her books. He watched Molly go into the bathroom with a pair of scissors, and was once more confused. He looked at Molly's smirk as she came out. "What did you do?",Kyle asked and didn't expect to get an answer. Kyle turned to Hana, "Here", passing her a tissue from his back pocket.

Carmen watched as Molly ran into the bathroom with scissors. "Don't run with scissors Molly!!" she laughed and could hear Kyle laughing under his breath. Carmen watched as Molly came out of the bathroom. She heard the ear peircing screams behind her and she jumped. Carmen turned to Hana and saw Kyle giving her a tissue. "Are you ok Hana?" "Shall we go to class now, before we are late??"

My eyes widened as I saw Hana's nosebleed and walked up to her. "You okay?" I asked and took my books back from her. I turned to Kyle and grinned at his question. "Oh I'm sure you'll find out sooner or later." I said and brushed off the left over strands of hair from my scissors. I shoved them back into my pocket and looked at Carmen. "You're probably right. Might want to get to class before we end up in detention. Again..." I added and laughed.

Hana smiled behind her hand and took the tissue. "Thanks..." she whispered and quickly covered her nose with it. Soon, the tissue was stained with blood. She looked at the others and nodded. "Yeah...I'm ok...but we should go to class..." she said and looked around. "It's down the hall right?" she asked.

I nodded and laughed. I noticed Hana used up that tissue already so I dug through my bag and pulled out another one. "Here use this." I said and handed it to her. "And yeah I know where it is! Follow me if you want to live." I teased in my best Terminator impersonation and walked off in a different direction, towards the next class.

"Are you sure you are ok? that looks pretty bad...", Carmen asked concerned. She saw Kyle give her another tissue. Carmen turned to Molly and nodded. "Let's go".
