I looked over and smirked at Carmen as she ran up to us. "Late on the first day again huh?" I retorted and laughed. I shook my head when she said she forgot her phone, then my eyes widened. I searched my pockets and gasped. "Crap...Forgot mine too..." I groaned and sighed. "I think your forgetfullness is rubbing off on me." I joked and looked at the preps she was talking about. As expected, they were standing there, looking at us and making disgusted faces. I shot them one my 'what-the-hell-do-you-want?' looks and looked back at my friends, satisfied that they had turned away. "Ugh. High school. Even more drama, gossip, and catty girls. Just lovely." I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes. I heard the squealing of tires and a loud engine and turned around to see the bus. "And so it begins." I said and stalked off towards it.

Hana smiled. "I have my phone!" she said and pulled it out of her jacket pocket. "Geez, I should have texted both of you." she joked and looked over at the preps. "They don't know what they are getting into this year..." she said and looked at the bus. "High school to me sounds like fun! Except for the fact that they put me in Computers for the third year in a row..." she said and let out a sigh. "I wanted to get into Painting..." she muttered as she took a seat near the window.

Carmen smiled at Molly, "This is a record acctually", "i've never been this late before", she laughed. "But my mom used the old 'you're thirty minutes late' trick to get me up and going". She agreed to Hana about the preps and followed behind her and Molly on to the bus. Carmen always sat in the very front, in the very first seat, because she belived the back of the bus was filled with jerks. She sat in the seat across from Hana. Carmen resorted back to Molly, "well you know what they say...High School Never Ends"

Hana smirked. "Yeah...well maybe we'll be the lucky ones who have high school end sooner then we think!" she said excitedly. She opened her bag and took out a sketch book. "I've been drawing like crazy all summer." she said and flipped through the book, glancing at the pictures.

I climbed into the rusty bus and made a face at the sight of all the people in the back who were, as expected, acting like a bunch of morons. I shook my head in disapproval and took a seat next to Carmen. "I sure hope it goes by fast..." I muttered and sighed. I turned my attention to the sketchbook Hana was looking at and gaped. "Wow! You drew all that? You're really getting good!" I commented, appraising the drawings as the bus started up and drove through the streets.

Hana looked up from her book and over at Molly. "Thanks! I was so bored!" she said and slid the book back into her bag. She noticed she was in a seat by herself and bowed her head. "Please, dear god, don't make me go through the torture of having somebody sit next to me..." she begged. "If you do, I'll stop saying takosu for taco!" she added and giggled as she looked over at the two.

Carmen laughed, "It better go by fast". She looked at the back of the bus, "i don't think i can spend another year looking at these things". "I wonder if we will get to meet some new 'sane' people who are like us." She drew her attention to Hana's book. Her eyes widened. "It would take me at least a year to draw up a whole book like that!! And even if it did take a year they wouldn't look as good as that!" The bus hit a pot hole and everyone flew out of their seats. Carmen laughed. "They should really fix these pot holes!"

I smiled in anticipation as I watched the bus near a pot hole. As we drove over it, I jumped up and threw my hands in the air. "Whoo!" I screamed and turned around when I landed to see all the 'things' in the back staring at me like I was insane. I snickered and turned to my friends. "That was awesome!" I said and laughed as we reached the school. I grabbed my bag and stood up. After I got off, I stood on the sidewalk to wait for Carmen and Hana.

Hana laughed as they flew up into the air. "Yeah they should but then that would take the thrill out of my mornings!" she said. She grabbed her bag as the bus stopped and got off. "So what's your schedule?" she asked Molly as she took out her schedule.

As I waited for Carmen to get off the bus, I pulled out my schedule and handed it to Hana. "Jeez. I have a strong feeling that I'm not going to understand anything in these classes. Plus, this school is so big I'll get lost just trying to find my class." I said and sighed. I pulled out a map of the school I got at orientation and tried to memorize it again. 'So many hallways...' I thought, staring at the paper.

Carmen agreed with Hana and laughed, "Good point, it would be a boring ride...". Carmen got off the bus after Hana. She sighed at the enormus school. One of the preps she saw earlier purposly bumped into her. Carmen turned and shoved her back and the prep walked off. Carmen turned to Molly and Hana, "im starting to hate this school already." Carmen pulled out her schedual too. "I memorized the map last night, so i guess getting around will be somewhat easy", she laughed. Carmen gasped in excitment, "we all have the same core classes!!". "Im starting to gain my confidence back!", she said with a big smile.

I looked at our schedules and smiled. But it faded after I saw our P.E. classes. "Great. The one class we don't have together is the one I suck at most." I groaned and pointed to the papers as we walked to homeroom. "Also, I sure hope the bus isn't going to be this late every day." I commented and entered the classroom.

"Make sure you take the bus home after school Kyle", his dad said. Kyle nodded. He looked at his new school and sighed. "Here we go...", he said with another sigh. Kyle walked through the croud of students to get to the office and pick up his schedual. He got his schedual and looked at it.

"Awww!!, I don't have PE at all this quarter!", Carmen complained. "Im sure PE isn't your worst class ever....or is it?", Carmen joked."Oh hey Molly?", "didn't you say you got new neighbors yesterday?"

I snorted and put my schedule back into my bag. "Believe me it is." I said and looked around the class. Our homeroom teacher was giving us our lockers and what-not. While I waited for her to get to us, I looked back at carmen. "Yeah I did. I haven't met them yet though." I said and pressed my lips in a tight line.
