Roy smirked,
"I see..." he answered, "Well, it seems that everyone is doing well... you got your automail back, the Lieutenant has her dog back, and Maes went out buying a pink pony..."
He put a finger to his chin.
"Honestly, I don't know where he got the money, but who knows?"

[Lierik]

"Yeah," Ed said, one brow quirked, "That seems kinda steep for a man on a military salary."

He blinked, as if the oddity had just occurred to him. "And why would he buy a pink pony?"

Roy rolled his eyes.
"For his daughter of course." he answered, "Do you need me to bring him in here so he can give you a three-hour-long reminder?"
He smirked at the thought.
It wasn't like the kid was going anywhere anytime soon.

[Lierik]

"I know that," Ed snorted. "I meant, where's he gonna put it? And I figured Hughes would be way to overprotective to let his three year old near an animal like that."

Roy shrugged.
"I don't know..." he answered, "I barely know why he got it... He should've gotten a dog instead..."

Ed shrugged. "Nah, let the man get the pet he wants, I guess."

Roy gave another shrug.
"Well, I suppose I'll be going, Fullmetal... after all, I wouldn't want to ruin your short attention span." he chuckled, going to turn on his heel.

[Lierik]

"b*****d!" Ed shrieked, lurching up in the bed to shake a fist at him. "How dare you call me a tiny amoeba that not even electron microscope could magnify properly!"

Winry woke with a start, seeing Ed angry.
She glanced back, seeing the subject of his anger.
Standing up, she looked over.
"Excuse me, Colonel... but I won't have you getting Edward upset when he's just had his nerves reattached. It's not good for him." she said sternly.

Roy grinned,
"Of course, Miss Rockbell... I wouldn't think of anything else." he said politely, "So, I'll just leave you to take care of him... Just make sure he's all right.. he's one of our best alchemists, you know."

Winry nodded, watching him as he left.

"Oh, I hate that guy," Ed said angrily at the b*****d's back.

Why was he always...always...so Mustang?

But at least Winry had chased him off. That was his girl.

Winry turned around, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
"You feeling okay, Ed?" she asked.
Though a sudden wave of vertigo hit her and she crumpled to the ground.
I must be more tired than I thought...

"Winry!" Ed yelped from the bed, lunging forward to try and catch her but instead crashing to the floor when he attempted to step on his currently missing leg.

Sprawled on the floor, he groaned before shaking his head and dragging himself toward the other. "W-Winry, are you okay?"

Hearing Ed's voice vaguely in the back of her mind, she was too tired to respond... No more all-nighters for a while...

Shaken by her failure to respond, he dragged himself the rest of the way over and gathered her up in his arms.

"Winry," He said worriedly, shaking her gently, "Come on."

Winry blinked wearily before feeling arms wrapped around her. She settled into them before actually looking up.
"E-Edward?"
