Sheik explained the rules pretty easily, and Link accepted it after eyeing the touch that Sheik gave him. Technically Link could just keep rattling off directions until he got it right, but that wouldn't help him get better. He wanted to make sure he actually knew what direction the other would be coming from, so he wouldn't cheat the game at all. He nodded, then grinned.

"Alright. Let's get started!" Link stepped away, then took a moment to check to see if he was going in the right direction. It was really easy to get turned around in the forest, and Link didn't want to get too distracted by that fact. Digging in his pouch for a small knife usually used for preparing food, he made a small mark in a nearby tree, nothing to hurt it, but enough of a marker in case he did start getting turned around. It was said that people tended to go in circles unless they had a sign that they were not going to. Hopefully that wouldn't be a huge trail that would lead others straight to them, but Link didn't feel like getting lost.

He then started walking south, keeping the knife out for later use. He wouldn't mark too many trees, just one every once in a while as he kept traveling. Soon enough they were bound to run across the music that played in the woods, and then Link wouldn't need this tool, but for now... He expected Sheik to follow along, but didn't try too hard at first to look around for the other. Sheik probably was going to make it so he was some distance before he moved in on Link first off, that way he could come from an unexpected direction. It wasn't long before Link began to look for his friend though, curious to see if he did alter the light world during his travels after all.

Allowing the teen to get a bit of a head start, Sheik waited for a few minutes before following after him in the shadow realm. He moved through it easily enough, even if it sometimes made him uneasy to be within it. Perhaps it was due to his status as the light sage, or his mixed blood, but he'd never felt as comfortable in the shadows as his fellow sheikah. Getting within a few feet of his companion, he noted the way Link seemed to tense up a bit at his approach. Even if Link didn't know where he was for sure, he was at least aware of his presence. That alone would help him immensely, since even that much of an early warning could be life saving. Moving closer from the boy's left, he waited to see if he'd be called out, but Link seemed unable to pinpoint him. Once he was close enough, he reappeared, lightly tapping the teen's shoulder. Link turned to face him, and Sheik grinned.

"Point for me," he teased lightly, "let's try again."

Once again he let Link get a decent distance from him before moving to sneak up on him again. The game lasted for ten rounds in total, and Link had been able to pinpoint him in advance four times. It was a surprisingly good start, and if Link was already able to get a bead on him that often, it wouldn't take too much training to improve his senses even further. Despite the game taking no more than an hour at most, they called it quits for the time being. Link wasn't exactly jumpy yet, but he was getting there and Sheik would rather avoid having to dodge the teens blade should he react violently.

"Good job," he said, moving to walk alongside the other man instead of behind him. "You've got a good start going, and I bet you'll be able to pinpoint me with ease in a month or less if we keep training like this."

Some would find the idea of being located so easily to be insulting, but Sheik would be happy to know that Link would have that extra bit of protection against any other Sheikah they ran into. They were bound to be hunted down eventually, and while Sheik wasn't looking forward to that type of confrontation, he would do his best to make sure Link was as prepared for it as possible.

The game did not go on for very long, but Sheik managed to get the jump on him six times in that time. It was enough to make anyone twitch, especially when they knew it was coming and had strained on preventing it. Link had been aware that Sheik was close to him, but most of the time, he wasn't able to track him once he knew of the man's presence. The shadow walking proved to be a lot worse than Link expected, a lot harder to deal with, and he had clamped down on his instincts quite a few times even as he jumped at the touches.

The last instance of Sheik approaching him, the actual end of the game, had Link flinching away from him at first before he realized that the Sheikah was going to simply walk beside him instead of actually continuing the game. The praise was good to hear though, and went a long way in reassuring Link. It eased him out of timid into appreciative and flustered.

"I don't feel like I did that well..." He said with a humble tone, aware that he would have been in a seriously poor situation if that had been a serious instance instead of a simple exercise. The young fighter listened to Sheik mention that he would likely have the hang of it in a month or so, and that made Link think. Were they planning on being out for that long? Maybe even longer? They had been out for a few days, but that hadn't seemed like that long of a period. No, Sheik was right. They were probably going to be out for a month, probably more. In accepting the sword, Link had set up himself up for the long haul, and the way Sheik had set it, he was coming with, whether Link wanted it or not. The affection he felt for the man grew a little as he realized that little bit. The young hylian appreciated that Sheik was willing to help him, despite everything it might mean at this point.

"Thanks for helping me out, Sheik." Link made sure to say, his hand coming out to clap on the other's shoulder. It was a gesture of comradeship , maybe unexpected, but Link felt it was needed. Giving the other a grin, then a nod, his head suddenly snapped up, his attention focusing somewhere else completely. He seemed to be listening for something, something faint and not quite easy to make out. "Do you hear that?" Link asked to make sure, because he wasn't sure when the music was going to start, and if he was even hearing it yet.

"You did amazingly well for a beginner," Sheik assured his friend. "Honestly, the fact that you can detect me at all puts you far ahead of most people."

Truthfully he hadn't met anyone outside of his own village that could, because most people were nowhere near as attuned to their surroundings. Link seemed to be a bit of an anomaly in that sense, but given his natural talent as a swordsmen, it was possible that he was more aware than the average man. That would not explain why the knights could not sense him or the other sheikah however, but he didn't feel the need to worry about it too much. The fact that Link did have this extra sense could possibly save his life, and that was all that mattered the him. The friendly clap on the shoulder jarred him a bit, but he returned the grin he was offered. He did not understand quite what Link was thanking him for, but he assumed it was for the training.

"You're welcome," he told him. "It's nice being able to help you in whatever small ways I can."

At the change in his friends demeanor, Sheik paused and focused his attention on what he could hear, trying to pick out what it might have been that grabbed his attention. There was nothing out of the ordinary so far as he could tell however, the sounds around them the typical forest chatter that they'd been hearing for some time. Perhaps it was the music the teen had mentioned before? If so, that would mean they'd reached the true borders of the lost woods and would have to be on their guard for any unusual sights or sounds.

"I hear nothing," he said after a moment, pausing to give his friend time to determine what it was that had grabbed his attention.

Sheik saying those simple words was enough to make Link sigh a little bit. They might have been walking through the forest for a while, but now they had reached the Lost Woods proper, and now was the time that they were going to get turned around completely and totally. There was no way to actually prevent that. No, instead, they would have to accept it and simply deal with the fact as much as they possibly could. Link put the knife he had been using as a marker away, because it wouldn't do him much good anymore. With that, he gave Sheik a weak smile.

"Well, time to wander." He sighed, not really all that pleased that he would have to listen to the music again. Link took a long moment to make sure that he could hear the tune properly, faint as it was, and started in the direction of which he heard it, which was at a slight angle from the direction they had been going. Link's steps would take them deeper into the forest properly, the trees getting thicker to the point that they couldn't see the overcast sky anymore. The smell of rain merely grew stronger, but it was not yet falling, or at least none of it was yet reaching the two young men. Link wished he could talk to his friend a bit more, but stayed quiet in order to keep track of the ever playing music, because the sound distorted, growing and becoming more quiet freely, like the wind itself was actually the thing playing it.

Unknowingly he occasionally hummed the tune aloud, for it was a rather catchy beat, regardless of how repetitive and annoying it was for the red scarf-ed male. The path that they were beginning to take was starting to become very erratic, winding back and forth as if following a game trail, though there was no trail beneath their feet, making the going a little tough. Their progress had slowed to a crawl, and as the time passed by, the miles themselves did not seem to do so, even if they walked quite a lot. Eventually, Link's mood tanked, the blonde getting irritable with the whole situation. The music itself was one problem, but Link had started hearing two versions of it, getting twisted around itself and making it hard to pinpoint. During one of these instances, he stopped, listened around a bit, then clapped his hands over his ears and shook his head violently.

"Arrrgh, I don't think we're going to get much further. I think skull kid has found us..." Link groaned, wishing he could just stuff some cotton or wool in his ears so he wouldn't have to listen to any of it right now.

Link did not seem happy with his answer, but there really wasn't much he could do about it. The lost woods had always been a mystery to most people, and the music Link heard was not among the typical lore. Oh, there were certainly tales of travelers being led astray by skull kid and his tunes, but that was a bit different than what Link had described. Despite his unhappiness with the whole thing, Link led the way deeper within the woods, lapsing into silence as he followed what appeared to be quite the illusive trail. The threat of rain made their trek a bit more worrisome, but the thick canopy of trees seemed to be keeping it from them, if indeed it had begun to fall. Later, as they continued on, even Sheik began to hear the tune that Link had been humming earlier, which was rather odd. He'd never heard any music the other times he'd been lost in this place (of which their were few, thank the goddesses), but he was certainly hearing it now. Before he could speak up however, Link seemed to reach the end of his patience with the whole thing.

"I believe you're right," he said in reply to the boy's comment about the forest's most notorious denizen. "I started hearing music a moment ago, the same tune you were humming earlier. Perhaps he's been following us and heard it himself. Or maybe he can hear it too and is simply having fun leading us all over the place. It wouldn't surprise me."

Unfortunately, as if adding to their small stroke of bad luck, the rain finally made an appearance. It wasn't a total downpour, but it would certainly be enough to soak them both if they remained in it for any length of time. The music Sheik had been hearing stopped as well, which led him to believe that skull kid disliked the idea of getting wet nearly as much as he did. Stepping back under the shading limbs of a rather large tree, he gave his friend a rather resigned smile.

"It looks like we may want to stop for the time being after all, at least until the rain lets up," he said, "the last thing either of us needs is to get sick because we decided that playing in the rain was a good idea."

Training would likely be out of the question too, since that would also expose them to the elements if they wanted to do it properly. However, it had been a few hours since their rather light breakfast, so maybe Link would be up for a small cooking lesson. They would need to set up a rain cover to prevent the loss of any fire they might build, but that wouldn't be too hard. The main problem would be finding dry wood now that the rain had already begun. If it came down to it however, Sheik could always start a small magical fire instead, which would work just as well. Giving voice to his idea, he waited to see what Link wanted to do. He'd be willing to continue on if that was what Link wished, but he figured his friend wouldn't mind the small break.

Sheik had started hearing the music, confirming it with the youthful warrior. Skull Kid was making it harder on Link to try to find his way through the forest. Taking a moment to watch Sheik, Link thought perhaps he could use the sheikah to be able to get out of wandering too far off course. He was going to mention something about it when the sky opened up and pounded the rain through the canopy of the forest. It didn't feel like a downpour, not at first, but it was going to get them soaked if they were not careful. Sheik moved towards a large tree, and Link followed along, giving the sky a rather dirty look. He had not wanted to get caught out in the rain while trying to follow the music.

The resigned smile that Sheik gave him helped his mood a little bit. This was just a small bit of stupid luck, and they'd get past it easily enough. There was no reason to be irritated with it. In fact, it even smelled good, and it was going to give Link the much needed break from trying to hear something elusive. He decided to rise to the occasion and joke with the other, trying to keep his mood light.

"I don't know. Frolicking in the rain can feel quite nice! Clean, refreshing... though for the most part you gotta do it without something that stays wet for a while." Link peered out at the rain, which had started getting much heavier. Shrugging, he moved over to the trunk of the tree and flopped down next to it, leaning against the trunk with the lower part of his back, his knees bent and holding up his elbows. Letting off a loud sigh, he just settled for now, taking the break as it was given to him. It was a sort of closed off feeling, but Link was willing to talk if Sheik asked. He just didn't know what to say at the moment.

Sheik wasn't sure what he found more amusing, Link's words, or the idea that the teen was speaking from experience. In all honesty it wasn't as if what Link had said was all that unusual, nor unheard of. Sheik had done it himself a few times when it was warm enough and there had been no one around to see him. Doing so now would, of course, be rather embarrassing. More so in Link's case he was sure. Sheik himself rarely felt any shame when it came to his body, not because he was vain, but simply because he saw no reason to be. Being naked was actually more natural than wearing clothes, though that was not to say he would willingly run around bare as a newborn unless he had to.

"Yes well, if you feel the urge to 'frolic' as you put it, do me a favor and warn me would you?" he replied lightly, wrinkling his nose a little as the rain got harder. He'd been hoping it would be a quick shower and that they could get on with their trek before too long, but it looked like they were going to be there for a while.

"Well, if nothing else the rain'll wipe away any tracks we might have left," he mused, moving to settle beside the teen on the ground. It wasn't as if they'd been crashing through the trees like bumbling idiots, but even the best woodsmen left some sign of their passage, be it a bent branch or trampled grass. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but with the threat of other Sheikah on the hunt for them, and bit of help was in their favor. The rain would wipe away any footprints they'd left, and as hard as it was, no one would be sure if a bent branch was the result of someone passing by or the force of the rain.

Yelping and howling from his left however, made him snap his head around to see what had caused it, but there was nothing within view. No doubt a pack of wolfos was on the hunt, perhaps they'd even caught something and were simply celebrating their success. Whatever the case, they were rather close by, and Sheik did not relax until the sounds had faded. Wolfos were known for attacking any human they came across, but they were not the type of creature to seek them out intentionally. Unless they stumbled across the pack in question, they would be safe enough where they rested for the time being. Normally Sheik would have taken to the trees, prefering to rest hidden within the branches, but he didn't think Link would be quite as comfortable doing so, and he did not want to leave him on the ground alone.

Link chuckled lightly at the return teasing he got from Sheik. He felt no urge to frolic through the woods in absolutely nothing, not right now. It might have been the perfect weather to do so, but it wasn't something Link was in the right mood to share with Sheik. It was embarrassing enough that he had even shared the fact that he had done so before. It was fun to get a reaction though, so Link grinned. "I will do my best to remember."

Sheik moved to sit next to him, and Link felt himself nodding at what Sheik was saying. He wasn't the best woodsman, and he had very clearly left a trail for some time. They could be followed rather easily until the point where Link began to follow the music, and even then, he doubted he was any good at covering his tracks. He was thinking of making a comment in reply, glad that Sheik had included the both of them in his comment instead of just pointing out Link's heavy footed ways, but they both were drawn out of the conversation by the sound of Wolfos. The howling put Link on edge, and he was on his feet, sword drawn in mere moments. After the practice that Sheik had put him through earlier with the shadow training, and the fact that he had been aggravating himself trying to lead them through, it meant he was still wound tight as a bowstring. It didn't help that his sword came free so smoothly, and it felt so natural in his hands that he almost didn't notice the action.

Thankfully the pack moved on instead of getting into range. None the less, it was a good reminder that the forest in which they traveled wasn't a safe one. There were beasts everywhere and any of them was willing to try to rip them apart if given even a slight chance. Link slipped his sword back where it lay at rest, and gave Sheik a quick glance, not apologetic at all. Better ready then caught flat footed. "You think we should test how waterproof our stuff is?"

Sheik's gaze was drawn back to his companion when the boy moved. Whether the teen would want to hear it, he was definitely a sight to behold when he reacted in such a manner and he found his gaze lingering on the boy for a moment before he turned his attention back to the area around them. Straining his ears, he didn't hear anything close by that could pose a threat to the two of them, but the rain was capable of masking softer sounds. He did not however, think that they were under threat at the current moment, but he said nothing about the teens reaction. It had been a good one given the circumstances after all, so there was no reason to bring attention to it.

"I think it would be best if we waited awhile before moving on," he replied after a moment. "The wolfos are moving away from us, and it's unlikely that they'll double back in this direction. On the other hand, moving could very well put us in their path, and with the rain coming down as hard as it is, it would mask any sounds they might make."

Sure, the animals had been rather vocal a moment ago, but if they wound up being hunted by them, the wolfos would quiet down, stalking them from a distance before attacking when they least expected it. Moving, in this situation, was the last thing they wanted to do. He didn't want to remain completely defenseless either though, in case his hunch turned out to be incorrect. Recalling the way Link had reacted moments ago however, made him suspect that they would be just fine, even if they were attacked without warning. Sheik was no slouch when it came to surprise combat either, and while he hadn't moved when the howling had first begun, it would have been a simple matter for him to be on his feet and armed if it had come to that.

"If you still want to get moving here in a few minutes, we can do so," he added, "but let's give them a bit more time to put some distance between us."

Sheik said they should wait, and perhaps that was a better idea than actually moving forward and getting themselves in a situation where they were in the middle of the pack without knowing it for sure. Still, Link wanted to be moving as much as possible, eager as he was to be out of this specific forest and back with his Uncle. Fidgeting a little, he stayed on his feet as he waited, because this time, he was twitchy and not willing to settle. As a nervous habit, he unconsciously fidgeted with his bracers, adjusting them and making sure they were fitting well on his forearms.

Glancing back at Sheik, he nodded his agreement though. "Let's wait for a bit then." He looked back out at the rain, gazing at the beauty of it as it fell through the canopy. "I'm guessing you've been caught out in bad weather a lot in your line of work. What's the worst you've seen?" It was an idle question, one that was meant to get Sheik talking so they could fill the silence and time while they waited. Link was more sure that Sheik had intersting stories he could tell, living the life he had. Link himself was naught but a merchant's kid, and Sheik... well, he was one of the illustrious Shadow People. The mysterious masked people in the employ of the monarchs of hyrule. As normal as Sheik seemed, and despite his bloodline, Link was sure he had some pretty fun stories. Missions he could tell Link about, instances that the young man couldn't imagine ever being caught in.

It also gave them something to speak about on quiet moments. Link wanted to know more about his friend, as much as he could manage. They would be moving with each other for a while, after all, so it was best to get some of those questions answered. Link could learn what made his friend tick. The simple questions like what was his favorite color, or what kind of food did he like to eat felt awkward and obvious, but other things could lead to greater understanding. Did he like hot or cold? Maybe he never wanted to be in snow again? Simple things, mentioned in talk of experiences. Link didn't talk much, and that had allowed him to learn how conversation flowed amist other people. Now he had to try to use it himself. If Sheik would let him anyway.

He was also flat out ignoring the way Sheik had been looking at him a moment before. A question could be posed about that, but Link figured he had been getting stared at for his over the top reaction. Just sniping what? didn't seem like it would go over well.

The worst weather he'd ever been caught in? Well, that was certainly something to contemplate, and he cocked his head slightly as he tried to determine what the worst instance had actually been. He'd been stuck in some pretty unpleasant weather on a number of occasions over the years, but there was one in particular that stood out, both because of it's location and just how bad it had actually been.

"Bad weather is indeed something I've dealt with a lot," he replied, "but I think the worst time I've ever had was during my first trip into the desert. I was on my way back after a mission when the wind started to pick up. I wasn't really worried, my mask was made of a slightly thicker material in order to prevent sand and other grit from getting into my mouth and nose, and I was wearing a hood of sorts to protect my eyes, so a sandstorm wasn't as much of a problem as it could have been. I found a rock formation of some kind before the winds really picked up and settled there to ride it out."

That would have been the perfect method of dealing with such weather if it had remained nothing more than wind and sand. Unfortunately, much to his displeasure, it hadn't.

"About an hour or so into the heart of the storm, I started hearing thunder and almost right after that it started raining," he continued, and gestured out at the rainstorm they were currently sheltering from. "It was probably no harder than this, but in the desert anything more than a light shower can become a problem, mainly because the sand doesn't absorb the water as well as the ground out here does. In order to avoid a potential flood, I tried moving to higher ground, only to stumble into a ditch because I couldn't see where I was going and of course, by that point, said ditch had become a fast flowing river."

He'd been washed down the length of the ditch for a while, unable to find a way to the edge of the stream in order to climb out. He'd barely managed to keep his head above the water for that matter, and he'd been certain he'd just signed his own death warrant. Getting caught in such a flood, and having no idea where he was or how he was going to get out, he very well could have drowned and no one would have had any idea what had happened to him until his body was discovered, if it ever was.

"The water washed me into a ravine, which had probably been an actual river bed at some point, and eventually I was pushed up against some rocks. It hurt, but the bruising I had later was worth it because I was able to scramble up the rocks and out of the water. Ended up being stuck there for the better part of two days before the water slowed enough for me to be able to make my way to the banks."

After that, it had been a matter of getting his bearings back and figuring out which way he needed to go to get back into Hyrule proper. That was not his last trip into the desert, but so far it had been the only one where the weather had turned against him quite so violently. He'd gone through one other storm in the desert, but it had mainly consisted of high winds and a lot of lightening. That storm had actually been quite fun, because he'd thoroughly enjoyed watching the natural pyrotechnics. Looking up at the teen, since Link hadn't actually sat back down, he gave him a grin.

"What about you, ever had any interesting mishaps while traveling with your uncle?"

Much like the rest of their conversations, Sheik hoped this one would provide and equal measure of give and take between them. He knew Link was not the sort to talk very often, so he enjoyed what conversation he managed to share with the other man. It was also nice to hear more about his friends life before they'd met, because they'd lived very different lives up to this point. To Link and indeed anyone else outside his village, the life Sheik led was often viewed with awe and even a bit of envy. To Sheik however, his life had not been all that different from the rest of his friends and family. In his mind, learning things about Link and the way he'd grown up was far more interesting than the things he'd done in the past. Granted, some of the stories he could tell were connected to some rather fun instances, this just hadn't been one of them.

Listening to the experience that Sheik had in the desert, Link hoped that they never had to expose themselves to such a event. It sounded like it had been tramatic in nature, and Link had not wanted to expose him to the memory of it. The youth had simply been curious about anything that could have been interesting or noteworthy. Link was glad that the other man was willing to share the knowledge though, even if it just reinforced the idea that the desert was not a place to go. Gerudo, harsh sun, sand, and then the flash flood possibilities. The desert sounded unpleasant and distasteful.

Sheik turned the question on it's head though and asked the same of Link. Had he actually experienced any interesting weather occurrences? Link shifted to look out at the rainstorm, running his mind over his memories to see if he had anything comparable. The two merchant types had traveled a lot, it was true, but they did tend to stay in the central part of the kingdom. The weather was mostly temperate there, which was what made Hyrule such a nice place to live. For the most part Link had been in nothing more than mild thunderstorms and the occasional snowstorm. That particular train of thought did lead him to an interesting insistence though, one he might be able to share.

"Uncle and I did get caught out in a snowstorm once. We were between Windfall Village and Darunia. At first it didn't seem so bad, but the clouds really moved in and pretty much buried us. Even Epona was having a hard time making it through the snow after a couple of hours. That's how fast it came down. We found a little cave to stay in, just big enough for the three of us. It was a tight fit though, and Epona more acted as a door against the snow coming in than was actually in the cave itself. We ended up staying there for another day an a half before it cleared up. What Link didn't mention was the rest of the trip to the village, the uncomfortable trudging through the waist deep snow. Link had protectively had Uncle riding Epona, and had trudged through the snow himself, but the cold he had gotten as a result was not something he ever wanted to think about again.

"Other than that, I've got nothing else interesting. 'less you count windstorms?" Link said hesitantly, glancing over his shoulder at the other, even as he reached his hand out from under the tree branches in order to feel the rain on his fingers. He loved the smell of these storms, and sometimes the feel of it on his skin, so he was going to enjoy what he could about it.

Link's own experience with bad weather was one Sheik could relate to quite easily. He'd been caught in snowstorms himself a few times, though he'd usually been able to find shelter rather quickly whenever they started. It seemed as if Link and his Uncle had been equally as lucky, and Epona being there with them had no doubt made things much easier on them. Though she'd probably been cold, the horse had been a good buffer between the storm and the much more fragile humans she guarded. Cold or not, Horses were much better equipped to handle foul weather, so long as their heads remained protected. At the mention of whether or not windstorms counted, he grinned.

"Those definitely count," he replied, "and I'm guessing there was an instance of you running about after your Uncle's things after, or during, one such storm yes?"

Rising to his feet and stepping out from under the protective branches, he waited for his friends answer to the light teasing. The rain had let up a bit, so while they'd still end up damp by the end of their trek, they would not be soaked within moments like they would have been earlier. That and it was a rather warm rain, so they wouldn't freeze either. Turning to look at his companion, he cocked his head a bit and gestured back in the direction they'd been heading earlier.

"Want to give it one more shot? I can't hear anything at the moment, so I assume Skull kid is taking refuge until the rain stops. That should give us a bit of time to make some more progress without being led in circles by the little imp."

"During." Link answered easily, remembering the dust, dirt, hay and various other things that were all in a twist all around him. He definitely had a curious time during a few windstorms, and he didn't like any of them, because he had been stuck trying to find either research or various other things in the mess. The worst ones had actually left him with scored skin for some time afterwords, though that one had not been because he was after Uncle's things. His elder had been trying to get him to come back inside during that particular one.

Turning his head to watch Sheik as the man moved beside him, he glanced back out at the rain again when they were side by side. He decided to elaborate a little. "The worst windstorm I've been in was during that drought a few years back, when everything to really dry. The dirt got blown up into the air, and was moving pretty fast. I had been visiting Epona when it kicked up, and tried to get back home in it. Bad idea, right?" Thankfully that drought had ended soon afterword, meaning people had been able to get a small harvest that year. A few tightened belts had occurred that year, but nothing too terrible thanks to the monarchs.

Sheik then spoke up, asking if Link wanted to give it another shot. The rain had let up a bit, and since there was no other music messing around in the air, Link figured he could try. Nodding to the other, he took a deep sigh, and let his eyes close, seeing if he could get a hint of the music. Over the pounding of the rain, it was difficult to pick up, so he was stationary for a little while, but eventually, he did catch a bit of the tune, mingling actually quite beautifully with the sound of the rain. It seemed... natural, and somehow it didn't aggravate the headache that had been building. He let his eyes open again, nodded, then pulled the red hood up and stepped out into the rain. He felt quite damp quite quickly, but it felt almost refreshing, so he didn't pay it any mind. Good thing this was a warm spring.
