Renie pulled up into the parking garage of the newest company he has started working for about a week ago. He had applied for a higher up job but all they had were lower jobs so he was stuck assistant for a Marking Manger. He was trying now to build his way up the ladder to maybe a manger or something. He walked into the office showed his badge and ID that you had to do to get into the main building. The hallways were filled with men and women in suits; he didn’t own a suit so he stuck with slacks and button up shirts with a tie. He was wearing purple slacks and a black shirt with a purple tie. His hair was not really for this kind of job, one side was short and the back and other side was to his shoulders. It was black and crazy when he styled it to be, but for this job he pulled it back the best he could. He knew that was probably why he didn’t get a higher job, but he was not willing to cut his hair for a job. He walked into the elevator with others with briefcases and papers. He only had a brief case that was black and small. His floor went off, floor 15 right in the middle of the 25 story building. He walked through the cubical maze finding his desk in front of his boss’s room. Setting his things in he saw he was already here, he hurried into the room knocking first. “Good morning Sir.” Renie said with a smile and waited for what to do. He usually just ran around all day and brought things from floor to floor.

''I live for the nights I can't remember with the people I'll never forget.''

Liam Grey was a busy bee. Not literally, of course, but simply a man who was in the middle of working himself up. He was young, but still doing rather good for someone his age. Married, he had a beautiful wife to go home to by the end of the working day and honestly, he was quite content with his life so far. Truthfully, each day had become a routine for a man who had once enjoyed life to the fullest. However, out of college and getting to work, it was only natural to expect that things would change. They had. Partly because of his wife. Who would need to run about if he had a woman waiting back home? The temptation was still there, though, Liam would admit to it.

That aside, the morning had started as usual with an early wake-up call that was quite bothersome after the nice weekend had passed. Running about in the morning like any other person, Liam ended up driving to work early, which was really the only reason the man was there at such an hour. Or so he thought. Dressed in a downright perfectly fitting suit, the jacket of it was set aside, a vest left above his shirt, the man's blue eyes were focused on the computer screen before him. His gaze torn up once his freshly hired assistant spoke, Liam sighed. Honestly, he was clueless as to why he would even need an assistant, but he had to admit, it beat rushing about and the other male probably got paid well anyway. ''Good morning.'' Liam returned the greeting, casting a glance at the clock on the wall. At least the other male was on time. Excellent.

However, Liam already had work to hand out. ''Would you mind taking these down for copies and take one set to Mr. Graham?'' The man suggested reaching out a small file of papers, speaking of another co-employee of the company. ''And I would love a cup of coffee, if you don't mind?'' Of course, it might have not sounded all that polite but Liam really wanted a cup of coffee.

Renie smiled at his boss when he greeted him back, he expected to be giving something to do right when he came to work. He walked over to the desk with his new black shoes that clicked on the hardwood floors only in offices. The shoes were shined the night before he could see himself in them. He took the small flies looking to see how many he needed to copy. “How many would you like in a set?” He asked looking down at the other holding the file to his chest with a curious look on his face. Renie had never been the type to be able to keep a blank serious face; he always showed his emotions and could cry on a whim when he wasn’t at work or a meeting.
“What would you like in the coffee? Would you like it before I make the copies or after?” He also asked needing to memorize how he liked his coffee so he could get it for him without asking every time what he wanted in it. “I past the break room and I saw someone brought in some fruit and donuts for the workers, would you like any before I run these copies?” He asked with a small smile on his face swaying back and forth a little as his green eyes flashed with a little happiness in them. He liked his job, it was better than sitting in a cubical all day typing and staring at a screen, he talked to more people running around.
His pay was well too, even thou he was such a lower ranking, lower than the sellers in the cubic area on this floor he knew he was paid more than them. His job was just as hard maybe even harder; also he guessed being with the Marketing Manger helped raise his pay as well. He had to remember a lot as well, people names, files, clients, floors, rooms, rankings, who was who in the company.

''I live for the nights I can't remember with the people I'll never forget.''

Liam himself was quite a down to earth person. Even whilst bottling up a few things, he'd snap eventually. However, it wasn't unusual for him to be quite relaxed after a good weekend of rest. This only being Monday, the man was more than content with his surroundings. ''Just one copy of everything, make it two sets, I need to have one sent up for the Chief as well.'' The man used a familiar employee-nickname for the CEO of the company, which probably meant that the documents filed there were important. ''And bring the original back to me, will you?'' Sounded a lot or not, Liam was the one that needed to keep it all in his mind just as well.

Speaking of coffee drew his attention back to the other male, arching a brow at him. Really, he was almost expecting for him to know how he liked his coffee. ''Two spoons of sugar. I'll take it after, those are more in a hurry than I am.'' Liam responded with a small sigh, offering a small half-hearted chuckle at the following words escaping the other. Donuts? Really? ''We didn't hire you to try and get me fat. If they have an orange there, though, I might change my mind.'' Liam said, the fact that he was used to skipping breakfast not being any news. Which was just as well why he needed that cup of morning coffee to get himself going.

''You know where Graham's office is, right?'' Liam asked, not really recalling if he had asked the male to visit the person yet.

Renie bite his lip at the other expression knowing he should have known that already but he had an eventful weekend of partying and drinking. He only did it Friday and Saturday so he could be hung over Sunday and come to work ready and alert.
Starting out the door now knowing his jobs he turned at the question with a soft smile on his face he kept on a lot. “Yes sir, it is two floors down and the last door to the left.” He said not having been down there when Liam had asked him but he ran a few things to him from the CEO before figuring it would be good for him to build his way up.
He then walked out of the office with a little bow being from Asia as he grew up and was taught to bow when leaving a room. He quickly made his way down the hallway to the copying room, he set up the copies for two one for the CEO and Mr. Graham. Once done he put them in the file separated with paperclips and he went down to Mr. Graham office and saw he wasn’t there so he slid it under the door with a stinky note on it in neat handwriting saying important. Making his way up to the top floor with both elevators full he took the stairs knowing it would be hard but he did it without breaking a sweat. He walked to through a little hallway and walked into the CEO office, he was there working on something on his computer; he knew not to talk while he was working. He walked up to the desk set the papers in his inbox turned around and walked away.
He caught an elevator down and once back to his floor he grabbed the coffee and saw an orange there, he brought it back to Liam with the orange already cut up into its slices to safe the mess for him and time. He brought a few napkins in with him; he set the orange on a plate and his coffee on the desk in his reach but out of his typing range. “Is there anything else sir?” Renie asked him.

With his assistant rushing about, Liam took himself a moment to rest. One thing done, a dozen left, and about as much surely piling up. The moment of rest didn't last long because it couldn't last long. The man was back to work within a few short moments. With a few e-mails sent out, he folded his arms across his chest, staring at the computer screen with a frown. Something was wrong and it took him a moment to figure out what it was. Budgeting. That aside, he still needed a few more issues solved.

There was no question about it, he was quite content to see the male return with his coffee and even a nicely sliced up orange. Nodding lightly at him, he smiled, reaching for his coffee without a second thought and taking a sip. A bit hot, but it worked wonders. ''Yes, I need you to check the budgeting for this month, there seems to be something that they have missed.'' Liam pointed out, gesturing for the other to come closer and check the computer screen with him. ''And I need you to drop by the Development Department sometime today. There were supposed to be some examples they were going to send up here a while ago.'' Liam explained tiredly, frowning to himself as he took another sip of coffee.

Wonderful. The day was going to drag on and on, he would imagine, but at least he could be pleased there was some help with it.

Renee smiled softly seeing the other smile and taking a sip of his coffee seeming to like it. He was tired from the walk and could use some coffee as well, but it would have to wait. He heard his nice task and moved closer to the others desk; he stood behind him at a good distance and looked at the screen. “Alright, I will look it right over. If I see anything I will let you know right away. “I can go get those examples before I start on the budgeting so I can have full focus on it.” He said going back to the front of the desk.
Renee eyes drifted over his face seeing he looked tired, he wondered why. He heard that he had a nice weekend planned for his wife; he didn’t even have to come in Friday because he wouldn’t be here. But it could be with all the work that he had, he had some other work for the CEO that he needed to get done but the CEO understood that he needed to his job first.
Renie's cell phone went off, he had two cell phones and it was his work phone. He quickly pulled it out and answered it. “Hello? Yes, I am working on it as best I can, but I just came into a lot of work Sir.” He said into the phone looking at the ground knowing it was rudeto answer it with his boss in front of him but it was the CEO. “I will have it done by Friday Sir.” He said then hung up. “I am sorry, it was the CEO…” He said with a little nervous smile on his face almost blushing. “I will get on those tasks right away, is there anything else?” He asked as he started to walk out of the room with his back to the door

''I live for the nights I can't remember with the people I'll never forget.''

The cup of coffee still in his hand, Liam nodded absent-mindedly. ''Yes, that would be good.'' The man agreed at first, nodding his head at the mention of getting the samples first. It was undoubtedly good. Budgets usually needed a person's full attention, if not a whole team working on them. This team was either lazy or stupid, for the numbers didn't match. Worst case - someone was stealing from the company and although he had his doubts on that matter, it didn't mean it was something that was completely impossible.

With the other man's phone ringing, Liam's gaze flickered over uninterestedly, up until his assistant actually had the nerve to pick it up near him. No, Liam didn't snap nor speak up on the matter immediately. He waited until the call was ended, frowning at the other male and chewing on a piece of orange, with the coffee set aside once more. Wiping his fingers against the napkin, he nodded, listening to the little apology. Now what exactly did the CEO have to do with his assistant whilst the man had multiple of his own surely doing the same job? It made little sense to him, but he was letting it go for the time being. If the CEO really did have something he absolutely wanted from his assistant, why the hell not. He had no right to complain whilst the work was done. ''It could have been god himself, but I would still prefer you to get those calls after you've left my office.'' Liam scolded his assistant lightly. Renie was in luck, really, Liam was one of the rare people left with some power over someone to not overuse it, and he was rather relaxed at work.

''No, no, it's quite enough, Renie. Thank you.'' The man responded with a small shake of his head, ushering the other out of the door. By God, he needed something to wind down the pressure by the end of that day.

Renie bit on his lip ring that he too out for his job so it was just his lip, he quickly bowed once again and rushed out of the office. He got the examples and gave them to his boss. The CEO was busy and he just needed him to look over some papers and make sure things matched up. He didn’t know why himself that the CEO would need someone so low in the ranks to do it but he wasn’t going to deny him. He took a seat at his desk and pulled up the budget accounts his mind calmed with his coffee by his side and an apple bitten into under a napkin. He started looking over the budgets marking everything he saw wrong, since he had what it should look like open.
While he was working a girl came up to him he hadn’t seen before. “You are Renie right?” She said leaning on his desk that was shortest. “After work some people from this floor are going to get drinks, would you like to come?” She asked with a sexy smile and her body was showing signs of flirting. “Sure.” He said happily looking up at her smiling softly. “Oh and I wanted your boss to come as well, he is very sexy.” She smirked her eyes looking over to the Mangers office. “He is married you know.” Renie told her frowning a little. Not that he was sad that the girl wasn’t into him but just her trying to get with a married man. “I know, but things can happen, anyways! Once you get off meet me in the break room and we will all go together!” She beamed and walked away.
Renie sighed shaking his head chewing on his lip again where the ring use to be, he went back to work. Once he was done he took the mistakes to the office. Knocking on the door he stepped in bring the papers over to him. “I checked and found quite a few, they were just simply lazy mistakes. I can’t believe how lazy people are with a team working on those.” He smiled as the end of the work day coming to a close. People starting to leave and time out, and Renie still needed to ask him about going out. He was nervous, and didn’t want to think anything less of him.
“There was this girl today, she came up and invited you and me to go out for drinks tonight at a bar. Just to relax and get the day’s stress away.” He said not going to beat around the bush. “But, she really wanted you to go for some reason…I just wanted to let you know. Once I am done with the rest of my work I will go to the break room where everyone is meeting.” He told him.

''I live for the nights I can't remember with the people I'll never forget.''

With the day rolling into an evening, Liam had gotten plenty more work done. With those samples sent back, with the budgets checked by his assistant, he was pretty much content with having a bit pressure off of his own shoulders, although he was certain he'd check them over anyway. Just to be certain. Checking over at least a dozen other things, Liam had barely moved from his office, working constantly. He'd asked for a couple more cups of coffee and downed them, along with having eaten that orange but aside of that, he had skipped his lunch as well. Years working in the company taught him that being serious about it equaled with higher bonuses, possible raise and a chance to climb the ladder of career soon enough, or so he would hope.

With Renie popping back up, he murmured a short 'thank you', getting the budgets and setting them on his desk to be looked over later on. ''People tend to get lazier as the time passes.'' Liam commented with a sigh, none the less grateful that the things were noticed now, as he scanned his gaze over the papers shortly, glancing up from them when Renie continued talking. This girl? Liam wasn't going to ask about it just yet, and with Renie continuing talking about it, things seemed to clear up. So there was another one with a crush on him. Well, even if he would have been single, he probably wouldn't have believed in an affair on the working place, or so Liam thought to himself, chuckling a bit. ''Oh? The moment you get married, everyone wants a piece of you.'' The comment might have not been as formal as Liam seemed mostly whilst he was working but it was at least amused. Liam sighed, stretching himself in the chair he sat in and glancing over at his computer once more. ''I may drop by for drinks.'' The man said, although it was going to be pretty foolish with how little he'd had to eat that day.

''I'll just need to finish up here.'' Liam added.

Once the man had finished up with the work, though, it was easy enough to find the room with the people gathering into it, a small friendly grin upon his face. It wasn't too often he even bothered to socialize with people that much, so it was a pretty surprising moment to see him there. None the less, he was perfectly fine with heading to the bar, and so he did go along with the rest of the group.

Renie smiled softly glad to see he wasn’t being too hard on him anymore, or at least formal. He grabbed the empty cups of coffee and chuckled softly at the comment. “Girls want what they can’t have.” Renie said with a soft laugh holding the cups of coffee. “Thou I will point this out… You haven’t eaten all day besides an orange and coffee, I am sure you know drinking and not eating don’t mix well. I would order someone at the bar if I were you.” He said with a soft smile and walked out the door throwing the cups away. He packed up his things and bent down on his chair where he had put a mirror on his desk, he spilled the pony tail out messing up his hair, it easily poof up and looked teased with waves in it. He took some gel spiking the cut part and was glad with his looks.
Renie stood up grabbing the brief case off the clock now and walked to the room. The same lady was there with sandwiches this time making everyone eat on. Renie gladly grabbed one not has eaten but his light breakfast. He munched it down and the girl walked up to him once he was done. “Is he coming?” She asked looking up at him with a hopeful look. “Yes.” Renie said not liking this girl but he liked a few people in the group. He stuck to the back thou with his sandwich talking to another guy.
The girl jumped up and down seeing Liam enter and she bounced over to him with a cute smile on her face. “Oh so you did come! My name is Sarah, I work in accounting; I cover the budgeting.” She beamed at him. Renie listened to the girl talking to him and he choked on his last bite laughing. With how those spread sheets look she shouldn’t be telling him her job.
“Alright everyone!” The lady with the box of sandwich said drawing everyone eyes on her. “We are going to the Star Bar, just down the street. It’s a bar and it severs food, so if you didn’t get a sandwich grab one now or at the bar you shouldn’t be drinking with an empty stomach. We will meet there at 7pm and leave whenever. Carpool with others so you can get drink and not go home drunk.” She said and set the box on the table as the group started to leave.
Renie checked his cellphone seeing it was 6:30 now so he would just go home and change than walk there. He lived close to work and could walk to the bar, he followed the group out and got into his car alone, he pulled out driving home. He changed into more night time clothes; he wore purple ripped jeans and a black t-shirt fixing his hair more and left once again. He walked down the street hands in pocket as he started texting as he walked.
He got to the bar ten after and walked in, music was playing and it was slow at the moment. He could see the group he talked to easier and hoped onto a stool with them. He ordered shots right off for everyone; they clanked them all together and chucked them. The rest choked and gagged on the strong vodka he ordered but Renie was use to drinking so it wasn’t too bad. People started coming in and dancing and drinking, in an hour it was alive and busy with music blasting and Renie on his third shot.

Somehow the words his new assistant had spoken sounded like the man was attempting on baby-sitting him. Telling him to eat, as if he didn't have the common sense for something like that. Needless to say that Liam didn't bother with spicing up his appearance much, either. Things were just fine with him. He was confident enough to not need to be looking any better than he did, especially if it was already drawing people in. Shameless flirting wouldn't harm anyone, it would just be a bother, if he ended up doing something he'd regret later on.

Regardless, the man hadn't expected on being practically attacked by the mystery girl that fast, the man arching a brow at the woman. Really, she'd had him until the mention of budgeting and Liam, being the man that he would point it out easily. ''Nice to meet you, Sarah.'' Liam said, that trademarked charming smile upon his face, the smugness continuing as he leaned a bit closer to speak a little more quietly. ''I'd sure hope that all the reckless mistakes that make my job that much more difficult aren't caused by you. Because, if that's the case, I'd say you'd need to skip the drinks and work some extra hours.'' Liam said, not all that pleasant of a person after all. After hours or not, they were still at the working place and Liam was hardly even considering putting up with someone that careless. Cute or not - he was still a man, even if he was married, thus' noticing the looks came naturally. Glancing over to the next female to speak up loudly, he took another moment to add a little something else. ''I do need to let people with more influence know if these mistakes get too frequent.'' Translated from that smooth talk, it would be plain and simple 'I can get you fired just like that'.

Seeing that there was half an hour left until the supposed time to be meeting up, Liam allowed himself a moment to text his wife, in order to let her know that he wouldn't make it straight home.

'Babe, I'll get a few drinks with people from work. Home later. Love you. xx'

Short and straight to the point, without those hideous short piles of letters that made no sense. Liam had never really been one to use those. The little marks for kisses (or possibly hugs on some occasions) had stuck. Probably because of the wifey herself.

Getting to the bar right that instant was not one of his plans, either. He did want a little something edible, and dropping by a cafeteria near the office, after having left his car at work was good enough of an idea. Liam never got to eating too much, though. A sandwich was all he needed to feel a bit better about it. Hell, any man would expect getting a decent dinner at home. Carpooling had never been his drink, which meant that he simply presumed he'd call himself a cab once he got to the bar.

Soon enough, he was there, talkative person as he could be, easily blending in to the crowd. A smile here. A joke there. A round of drinks earned, and one bought on his own. The alcohol still got to him all too fast, with how rarely the man actually drank but he was a happy drunk. Perhaps even more social when he was drunk and when he allowed the group he was with to pull him on the dance floor. The beat of loud music blasting from the speakers was nice, and so was dancing, but he did want himself another drink soon enough, and the man made it to the bar, a glance to the side allowing him to discover a familiar face. ''Hey there,'' Liam chuckled, the comment directed at his own assistant, ''You're still 'ere.'' Liam mused another comment, pointing out the obvious. ''Havin' any fun?'' He asked. Well, one thing was clear. Liam himself was certainly enjoying himself, ordering another shot once the bartender paid attention to him. There was a small slur in his words already, but it was certainly not inviting to head home just yet. ''Or found any cuties to go home with?'' Liam asked with a wink and yet another little laugh, his gaze moving to scan over the crowd. Sometimes, he wished he hadn't gotten married that soon but he'd also been dating his wife for a long while before. Looking was his only fun.

Regardless, it was easily noticed how different of a man Liam was outside his working place. Even if the man was rather relaxed there as well, the real friendly side got out on rare occasions such as that one.

The girl looked up at him smiling still but when she heard the comments she backed off, they were her mistakes and she was a bit lazy with her work. She quickly ducked out of the room once other started leaving going to the doors to the bathroom to do who knows whatever girls did in bathroom when they just had been told.
Renie was a partyer but he knew he had already partied a lot this weekend and he sat down with a few cute guys from the office talking while taking shots. A few guys had seen Renie asking him to dance and he did not that into them but he was being nice. He had a few girls as well which he had more fun with, but when they started putting a move on him he backed off saying he was gay. Some liked it and some were disappointed, he mainly kept to the bar keeping his drinking down.
But one of the guys in the small group had ordered a round of strong drinks and they had a contest, it was to see who could chuck it. Renie had always a good in between when it came to how drunk he got and how fast. He chucked the drink first and started laughing more and having more fun the drinking starting to take its affect. He glanced over after a while hearing someone talking to him seeing it was his boss and he chuckled softly hearing the words slur together and his facial expression made him smile.
He was glad the other was not a bad drunk and maybe could have some fun; a loud song came on right before Renie was going to reply to the other. He pulled the other down so his lips were at his boss’s ear and chuckled again. “Of course I am still here! I am having a lot of fun. No cuties, I don’t plan on taking anyone home tonight I have never liked one night stands.” He told the other letting him go smiling up at Liam. One of the guys in the group walked up to Liam smirking a little. “You want to play a drinking game; it’s easy we all order a drink and whoever can drink it the fastest wins.” He told Liam with a grin on his face. “Yes let’s do it again!” Renie beamed getting the bartender and ordered the drinks not giving anyone a choice not to play.

                                                ███████ ██ █████████ ██

''I live for the nights I can't remember with the people I'll never forget.''

Being pulled closer to the other was fortunately not quite enough to push him out of balance just yet. That issue would surely be solved with the few following drinks, if he was to allow them to himself. However, he had to admit, the man made him laugh. Which was why he leaned closer himself to add another little something. ''C'mon, don't miss out on your youth. What's better than no responsibilities?'' Liam said laughing a bit and moving away to grab his drink. He certainly had enjoyed his fair share of one night stands. However, at the moment he was in the middle of downing his drink when another male stepped closer. It was his mistake to not bother responding before the drink was down his throat. ''Whoa there!'' Liam protested slightly. ''I've got to get home sometime tonight.'' He said, figuring that the less drunk he was, the better it was going to be. ''I keep up the drinkin', there's no way I'll get even close to home.'' And Liam wasn't even referring to the things alcohol could get him to do. He was simply presuming he'd end up sleeping it off in some alleyway or something equally bad.

''Liam! Don't you dare chicken out now!'' Someone could be heard calling out. Nothing too new in the fact that people did seem to get along so much better whilst there was alcohol involved. All that involved work seemed to be forgotten.

Either way, the words had some effect, having the laughing man step closer to the bar counter. ''Fine, fine. Just this once, I'm in.'' He paused, his gaze searching for the person who'd practically called him a quitter, hand raised, gesturing somewhere in the general direction. ''And you,'' He raised his voice a bit, ''Don't you complain if I beat you.'' Shamefully, even if he did manage that, it would just mean he would be that much more drunk in less time. But when the drinks were out, and the drinking started, Liam had no issues with throwing back his head and letting the alcohol go down his throat, the glass slamming the counter in no time, the man raising his hand to use the back of it and wipe his mouth. ''Did I win?'' The question raising there was ridiculously innocent for the moment. Deception at it's best.
