James and Lupin and Peter nearly blew the little plant up before Sirius walked in.
"We've gotta get her back." Sirius said lowly to them.
"I've already got a plan." James said.

Lily had just watched the boys. Already the teacher had a project. "Lily, James, you two shall be partners. Sirius and (insert his girlfriend), Peter and (Neville's mom here)," And on she went.

James smirked. This was a lucky add-on to the plan.
"What was the project?" He asked when she came over. "I wasn't paying attention."

"We have to keep this plant alive." She said, looking to him. "Basically like a healthclass with a fake baby." She said, making a gross face.

James smirked.
"Then we need all the practice we can get." James said with a smile.

"Um, no. I'll take care of it. You do whatever."

es smirked at her embarrasment.
"Fine." He said. The bell rang, and since the project was out of class, he walked out without a second glance. She said SHe'd do everything.

Honestly, she couldn't do everything. She couldn't for her life at all carry the plant.. It was too heavy...

Lupin helped her with the plant since he actually had a heart.

Lily thanked Lupin slowly for him helping her even though she was still pissed at him... Snape walked by and held his, so he madea deal with her. Hold his things and he'll hold the plants.

Lupin handed Lily the plant once they got to the common room. TGhey both had free period, along with everyone else.

She sat close to Snape, as she took care of the plant.

Lily sat alone as she tended to the plant. She was a bit lonely, and didn't want to talk to anyone.

James used his time to put the plan into action. He picked a lily from the garden and taped a peice of parchment to it that said:
I always admired you.
Come to the dance with me,
meet me in the Great Hall at eight.
He didn't sign it, but snuck into her dorm under the INvisibility cloak and put it on her bed and left to his dorm. The whole plan was to embarrass her by standing her up as a secret identity. James had a previous arrangement to meet his date, Molly, at nine. He would hide under the cloak until then.
(Molly is ron's mom. She hasn't met the husband yet.)
