((Hmm, imagine pews instead of chairs. Don't forget, they're in a shrine ^^; ))

Marai stood up and went over to Cecil and pulled one of his arms over her shoulders and Krisan did the same thing. They both took him to Marai's home and set him on the couch. The girl adjusted the pillows so he would be comfortable and then put the blanket over him before she looked at Krisan. "Can you make up the spare bed for yourself? I'm going to take care of Cecil for a little bit." She went to the kitchen and when she came back, she had a glass of water. The man nodded and then left the room and she pulled Cecil's hands out from under the blanket and put the water in the, holding her hands around his. She was staring at him and then she leaned forward and kissed him on the forehead. "No more drinking for you." She told him and then pulled back and nodded. "Drink the water, it'll help."

Cecils kept up with them while they walked across town. A couple of blocks of homes they came across Marais small home. He was set on the couch and laid there resting and Krisan left to fix his room.. She put a pillow under his head and a blanket over him to keep him warm. She brought him a cup of water and Cecil took it with a bit of help and drank. She kissed him on the head. He did not have a frown or a smile but more of a content face. He was just tired and numb. "Thank you Marai" he said to her looking into her eyes. 'Marai....' He kept the glass in his hand.
Marai nodded and moved so she was sitting on the table in front of the couch and she watched him. Her eyes never left his and she just stared calmly at him. She didn't have an angry look on her face and she wasn't mad at him. For some odd reason, she was wanting to be kissed again but she didn't voice it. Even when Cecil wasn't drunk, he didn't see her as someone important, he just saw her as herself, or so she hoped. She sighed and reached a hand out and took the glass from his hand. "In the morning, once you feel better, I'll take you to something I found. I think it might be part of your ship." She nodded and then set the glass aside.

As marai sighed he moved his head and looked towards the ceiling. When she spoke he nodded his head and let her take his cup. He did not respond to her not even with a good night. He just closed his eyes to rest off the effects. He feel asleep fast on the pillow the softness guiding him. He was sure there was something more then alcohol in that drink, like venom. The numbness took over his head. He drifted into a lonely sleep with no dreams. No colors just black.
She watched him fall asleep and then she stood up and turned blew the candles out (since they're old fashioned) and went to her room. Krisan was still turning down his bed and she went to her own and climbed under the blankets and closed her eyes, falling asleep after a few minutes. She sighed and let her mind drift and then fell into a deep sleep.

An image appeared in Cecil's mind and a bright light was there as well and it got brighter and brighter in his dream. When he was able to see, there was a woman there who looked like Marai, but she was older somewhat. Her wings were larger than Marai's but they were the same rainbow color. She smiled and walked over to him. "Cecil, fate has brought you to this world." Her voice came out like a breeze and wrapped around him.

Cecil had a steady sleep with little movement. If back home he would probably have seen a doctor. but he knew himself knowing that he was fine. As the night progressed Cecils dark lonly sleep become vivid and bright. Color surrounded him and a figure appeared. She was much older then Marai but looked like her in every way. 'Is that her mother?' he thought. As she walked closer to him he felt a warmness coming off her. She spoke to him and the words sounded soft but felt strong. He was not sure what to make out of her speech. "Fate? But i don't believe in fate. If it was fate what have I been brought to do. Im confused and feel like i screwed everything up for myself. " His voice came out soft as well but not as strong.
What Cecil didn't know was the woman was indeed Marai, but she was grown up. Her dream form always showed what she would look like in a few years and it was were she did most of her healing to some of the people. "No, you have not screwed up anything." She took his hand and led him to a small stream and let him go before she sat down and sighed. "Cecil, not even I know why fate has brought you here but you may not believe in it, but I have. I've seen it work." She looked at him and smiled, patting the ground next to her. "What's on your mind about the people? Do you think they hate you? Is that why you think you screwed up?"

She was right Cecil had not screwed up anything. Cecil let her lead him to a stream. Her hands where silky smooth. He sat next her on his knees. He listened to her speak about a fate, about his fear of messing up. He peered into the stream a perfect reflection came to his eyes. All of it sunk in and he spoke instantly back to her. "My mind is full of fear. Fear of what i did and what will happen. I kissed Marai at an inappropriate time. But she does not seem to hate me for it so why worry about that. What about the people though who seem so protective. Im sure they dont hate me but after what happened they might not be nice. Wait I dont have much to worry about but still what will happen next." Cecil felt a bit better but still feared what will happen next. He looked towards her. "Fate. I believe im here to be special for someone or do something special for Volumi." He told her. He put his hand in the water and drank some.
She watched him as he spoke and just sat quietly next to him. When he spoke about kissing Marai, her face went slightly red. She was a grown-up version of her so it wasn't that bad and she knew about it, but just hearing it from him made it seem like it had indeed happened. When he was done speaking, she smiled at him and then put a hand on his shoulder, rubbing it slightly. "I believe you are here to be special for someone. When the time comes, I'm sure you'll know who it is." She nodded and then took her hand away. "And don't worry. Marai will help you out. The people are very protective of her but they sometimes don't see how she really feels. You have to help her out as well." The woman stood up and stretched, not looking away from him. "Do you feel better now?"

Someone special, he would learn who it like she had said soon or later. Cecil relaxed and his whole body became soft as she robbed his shoulder. "Yes I do fell better thank you." He told her looking at her again. His face stayed strictly emotionless. "But I have one last question, who are you?" He asked. It was the last thing he wanting to know. "Are you Marai's mother." He said assuming it. Even though it felt like a finishing question to him he wanted to stay longer in the peaceful place.
The woman blinked at him and then smiled. "No, I am not her mother. I am Marai, just a little bit older. She's considered a kid at the moment but in a few years, she'll look like me," She then moved backwards and was fading away slowly. "The last one who had wings like mine was alive 400 years ago." Her voice got softer as she still faded. "You can stay here as long as you want, you'll be safe." She then smiled and was gone from the area, moving to another area to talk to someone else who had come into her dream world.

Cecil was confused a lot by her. It was Marai as she was when she was older. How did that work in any way possible. Even if it was Marai how was she.... Cecil did not know what to think and did not want too. Not thinking about that and enjoying the peace he stayed at the stream. Putting his hands in he cupped water and had another drink. He rested there for a little looking at himself from the water of what he became from when he was young. Not to late he soon drifted to black and he was back into a dreamless sleep where he awoke and looked around. He looked at his hands. He was the same age in the same place. He put his hand on his head trying to make sense of everything fast. He though about the kiss and everything rushed through his head. He kept thinking about how stupid and awkward it was but then put aside he closed his eyes and drifted back to a light sleep.
Marai woke up early in the morning and was tired. Besides Cecil, she had three others to comfort and she was now leaving her room to go to the kitchen. She yawned quietly and got a glass of water and drank it. When she was done, she went to go check on Krisan and saw he was still asleep. She then went to check on Cecil and stared at him as he slept. She moved him over a little and laid next to him, putting her head on his chest. She covered them both up and then closed her eyes. She felt comfortable around him and if Krisan saw her like this, she would explain everything to him so he wouldn't be angry at Cecil. She just wanted someone to understand her and she felt like Cecil would. She sighed and then drifted off into a light sleep next to him.

As Cecil slept Marai crept up and slept next to him. He strangely slept through that but woke up and saw her sleeping next to him. He gasped and his eyes widened. 'what the hell? Ugh i dont really want to be in this position.' He felt a lump in his throat and his body started to get hot. He kept looking at Marai. Should he wake her, or let her stay there. For reasons he decided to wake Marai up not knowing how she had not woke up yet.. "Marai." He shook her a little and then shivered a little. His face was mixed up.
Marai slept peacefully and woke up once she was shook. She opened her eyes and looked up at Cecil and saw that he seemed to be mixed up about something. She sat up and put a hand on his forehead. "What's wrong, are you ok?" She asked and had a worried look on her face. She stayed next to him and what they didn't know, Krisan was now up and he was watching them from down the hall, making sure the stay in the shadows. He wanted to see what Cecil would do and if he did anything to Marai then he would intervene quickly.

Cecil face was flushed red from the heat going through him from being this close to Marai. When she asked if anything was wrong and it felt like lots was wrong with this he wanted to tell her. "Im.. im feeling fine." Another hot wave went through him. "Its just.... " He stopped. He thought what he was about to say would hurt her feelings. "Um..." He said lamely and felt stupid a little. He did not say anything more. He smiled to her not knowing that Krisan was watching. He felt a small attraction to her at the moment and all the time but just felt awkward about the whole situation. "Marai." He said and did not say anything else.
