"Bringing someone back to life is going to be hard. No one said it would be easy." He told her and glanced up at her before he looked back at his book. He was just irritated and didn't mean to take it out on her but he couldn't help it. She was the only one around and he just wanted to rant at Cecil for what had happened to his granddaughter but the man was gone and there wasn't a way to talk to him....at least not yet.

-----------------------------------------------

The man nodded and listened to Cecil's story. He sat on the couch and looked down at the wing fragment. There wasn't much to say at the moment. Just then, the doorbell rang and then the door opened. A man dressed in a suit was standing there and he looked at the two men before his eyes stayed on Cecil. He moved forward and watched him. "Cecil, you are to come with me. My bosses want to hear your report of the planet you were on. We want to know if they have technology that we can use for our own. Come."
Cecil put his head back and rubbed his face. That sad smile disappeared and became serious. When they demanded he came with them he didnt really want to. Cecil just wanted to relax, read and eat what his friendly neighbor brought. A sigh from Cecil, he leaned forward. "If I have too." He got up from his seat and put the slice of pie in the fridge and told the man who was so nice. "Tell you wife thankyou for me." He picked up the wing fragment and looked at it for a moment. He was not sure if he could handle it. Putting the fragment in his pocket he continued to go with the men. He locked the door and he was not sure if he would be returning to this.
____________

Mark did something for Cecil, something he was sure would help. He called the company and told them about Cecil's endeavor and how his most loved one died. It was know that these things cause people to become unstable. Cecil could be suicidal now, but Mark knew Cecil is not one who would let himself off the easy. Sorrow for Cecil.

In all these things piling up on top of themselves and all the bad and good, Mark did one thing that would help Cecil survive. The thing fate needed. The teleporter. Mark put away, safe from greedy hands. He was keeping it for Cecil, his friend, so he could shift back in seconds to the volumie.

Beth felt Kris's anger as he spoke and ranted, almost attacking her. She did not talk back though because she understood his grief, not personally, but as a doctor would. He wanted to take it all out on someone but there was no one around but her. Kris must of felt something she didnt or at least not as strongly as she did. Beth just decided to stay quite, not heeding his words of anger. Just continue reading and researching. She put down that book and picked up another, she had a more efficient way of keeping track: Mental notations.
The men were silent as they drove Cecil to what looked like a giant hospital. The men got out and one of them somewhat pushed Cecil out and a woman came out of the place. She had on a white lab coat and underneath it was a long, black skirt and a red shirt on. She had a pair of glasses on her nose and under her arm was a notepad. Her red hair was pulled back into a ponytail and her green eyes were watching Cecil. She had a very nice figure and she was the kind all men would be attracted to. She glanced up and down at the man and smiled. Hmm, nice body. I could sure get used to a man like him. She thought to herself and then nodded. "Welcome, Mr. Cecil. My name is Cathrine. I'll be the one asking you questions today, under these mens orders." She pointed to the men in the suits and then turned and headed inside. "Come on and let's get inside. Follow me please."

Cecil was thinking to himself during the transport. 'These men in suits, they did not seem to want to talk' They never let out a peep even though Cecil at least deserved to know where they were going. They left the city and moved into the suburbs. Cecil was starting to think he was not going to do a report. Leaving the suburbs, the scenery became trees and such, no big roads just very isolated area, he thought now that he was being put way. After ten minutes a hospital/institute came into view. It did not look like an asylum though. It was quite big with multiple build and floors but very open with lots of colorful plants and trees. There were even a couple of people walking around outside, patients and workers. Now Cecil knew he was being put away, he didn't fight it he felt strange. When they stopped and push Cecil out, he stumbled to the ground. Cecil looked up to the doctor Cathrine. She certainly looked like one in her uniform, but she had nice distinctive features, nice voice. He got to his feet quickly and listened 'Questions?' He followed her like she ordered but Cecil was really confused and he felt a bit sick. Following her he went inside, the hospital was new, or more likely refurbished.
Cathrine took Cecil to a small room, with a bed and a dresser, and she watched him go inside. Her eyes glanced up and down his body and she nodded before she looked outside. "Mary, bring some medication. It looks like he's sick. I want it in here just in case." She nodded and the woman she had asked to grab the medicine left. She closed the door and moved over to a chair in the room, sitting in it as she motioned for Cecil to sit on the bed. A door was also there and it led to a small bathroom. She pulled out her notepad and brought a pencil from her coat pocket before she looked at him. "So, tell me how you're feeling right now Cecil. You don't look very well." She nodded and was watching him intently, waiting for him to say something.
The building seemed to have a perfect temperature not to cold, not to hot. A bit alien but not uncomfortable. Followed Cathrine into Cecil's room which did not feel correct, so plain and empty. Taking a quick look Cecil felt no vibes, This place could easily be described as sterile and very generic. The whole building seemed to give off a feeling which he did not like.

Finished with his quick examination Cecil was about to sit down on the bed but stopped midway when Cathrine said "Mary" Cecil turned to Mary immediately being reminded of Marai, the names. The sight of this person instead of Marai made him feel a little discussed. Instantly he turned away and sat on the bed. Cecils face easily gave hints of how he was feeling.

Cecil decided to lay down on the soft cotton mattress and sheets. He put his hands together and placed them on his stomic. Cathrine's words ringed in his skull as new emotion and thoughts flood into his mind. He was not sure what to think since she was a doctor and she was asking questions. More of a therapist?

"How am I feeling?" he paused. "I..Im really feel mixed. Where am I, Who are you? And truly im not feeling well, mentally and physically." It came out angry and aggressive but it did not raise to a shout.
Cathrine was watching him closely and she was making notes in her mind at his reactions and things. She had been briefed by the people who hired her, to make sure that he would be ok, and they told her everything that Mark had told him. She made the note that the woman who he had lost had a name that resembled Mary's name. Maybe he would tell her the name of that one person. It was because of her that he was here. They had to have been really close for him to go into a spiral of despair at his age. She watched as he laid down and started taking notes and writing down the notes she had in her head as he spoke.

Her eyes kept glancing up at him knew he had been away from the planet for so long that that was why he seemed to look sick. The planet of Volumi must have had a better atmosphere than Earth. "As I said outside, my name is Cathrine. I am a doctor who is here to help you with your problem. What you've been through it a terrible ordeal and I'm going to help you out as best as I can." She smiled lightly at him and then turned her head when one of the men, who had brought Cecil, stepped in and held his hand out. She took the item in his hand and stared down at it, a curious look on her face.

In her hand was the fragment of Marai's wing. The man had taken it out when they had pushed Cecil out of the car and held it until he could give it to her. She looked at the man on the bed and then put the fragment in her pocket. She had made sure that he did not see the fragment and it was hidden before he could see it and know she had it. If he had seen it, he would had to have been sitting up. "So Cecil, what do you feel like doing right now at the moment?"
Cecil was trying his best to rationalize everything. He seemed to do it one by one while still thinking about his situation which was being away from his other life. The one on Volumi which he cherished dearly.

it was Cathrine's turn to be rationalized. She wanted to help, but was paid help. Certain people wanted Cecil to get past his grief and get better. He was not sure if anyone could help. He was dwelling on the negative. It seemed like he would not get over Marai's passing and leaving Volumi, he would rather be there with the support of other volumis then these humans. People would think of that as odd.

Being very aware and observant looking for better things. Cecil looked to the man and was wondering what he was giving to Cathrine. Cecil looked back up to the ceiling, he did not want to ask.

She talked. He took in her words, it was smooth. He thought about what she said and what he wanted to do. Well like anyone like him, he wanted to go back to the life before the incident, but he knew that was not possible. Cecil still wanted to go back to volumi anyways, but that was not an option either. Cecil thought about things he could do here and now. 'Eat food, not hungry. Look around, don't want to. Sleep, not tired. Damn it!' He decided what he wanted. "Well Cathrine, I want to go back home. I want to go back to volumi." He sighed. Was it good that he acknowledged that? "But that's not an option is it? If anything, can you show me around here? Im going to be here a while?"

(I hope you enjoy it mystery and i hope this gets us on the right foot to continue.... wow its been a while...
I have some good ideas in my brain already biggrin
BTW in Texas does it rain a lot?)
((It looks good. And we get rain but now that summer is here we won't get a lot of it.))

Cathrine was a little shocked when he said he wanted to go back to Volumi and wondered why he would. He belonged on Earth and not another planet. They were his people, not them. She sighed quietly and then leaned back in her chair. "Yes, I can show you around but there is something else weighing on your mind, isn't there?" She asked and was watching him like a hawk. "Care to tell me about the woman you lost? She must have been important for you to be going into this depression mode. If you tell me about her then I can help you get over the pain of her." She was somewhat grasping at straws but if she was correct then Cecil had fallen in love with one of the aliens, that held him there, and the wing fragment was hers. Maybe there could be something from all this.

She pulled out the fragment and held it up to the light. "Where did you get this from? It's almost like you took this from a butterfly's wing and now it's dull. But you can still see the colors and it has a feeling of peace to it. Is this from the woman?" She had no idea what he name was so unless Cecil told her, she would just keep calling Marai 'the woman' until she knew.
