Welcome to Gaia! ::

"If you take it easy then you'll be back to normal within a month or two. But you can't do anything that will strain you." He told him and then nodded. "I'll stop by every week to see how you're doing and to change your bandages. I'll go get the men now." He left the room and now it was only Cecil and Marai in there. She held him sit up, knowing to be careful because of his ribs, and she looked at him. "Life simple here. No worries." She smiled at him and then two of the men from before came in and lifted him up and the girl flew off and out of the cabin. The other two followed and soon they were at another small cabin just at the outskirts of the village.

Marai opened the door and they took Cecil inside and set him on a couch before they nodded to her and left. She went in and closed the door and went over to him. "Are...you hungry Cekil? Am I....saying name right?" She asked as she helped him adjust on the couch so he wouldn't be hurting and she stared at him.

Cecil sat up with some struggle and went with the two men came and helped him up. They looked at him a bit strangely and he gave them a thanks for the help. It would be hard for Cecil for the next few months. He would not be able to do much at all. Not even create a radio to send a message to earth. The rest of his life would probably revolve around this planet now.

He sat on the leathery couch it was nice. It reminded him of his child hood. The couch he would lie on all the time. He would get suck to it. When he asked if he was hungry and used Cekil again he really felt like laughing. When she asked if she had said his name right he chuckled and said: No. Its Ce-CIL. If you have food for me marai I would love some. " He told her happily. It would be intreasting to live with her. Cecil did not mind her at all. She really cheered you up.
Marai blinked when he said his name again and she nodded. "Ce-Ce-Cecil?" She asked and then laughed before she went to the kitchen. "I make food." She looked around and had no idea what he liked to eat so she got some simple things and made porrage. It was something easy to make and until she knew what he liked to eat and stuff, she would just stick with normal things. It took a few minutes to make and when it was ready, she got a small bowl and a spoon and took Cecil the bowl of porrage. She set it in his lap gently and sat on the small table there, her wings folded down now.

"Cecil, what are you?" She asked as she looked up and down his body. He had nothing extraordinary about him and she wondered how there was a kind of race where they looked so plain looking. But, each species was different. She smiled lightly as she took a pillow, which was on the other side of the couch, and she put it behind him to prop him up.
Cecil nodded when she said his name right. It was said perfectly. She was learning, but to speak good English she would need some help. Food would be good though before he did anything like that. She went out of site to a kitchen and returned with a bowl of porridge. He was not a poor man on earth. It did not mean he ate very expensive stuff. No he liked rice, Chicken, pasta. porridge though he had a hard time eating. It was just the texture and the plane taste. This gave him an idea of the planet though and the oats should taste different. Putting a spoon full in his mouth he did not mind it as much as earthly oats. It was disturbingly better and at the same time repulsive.

Cecil listened to her. What are you? What was he? Thats a great question to think about. But you know it was not about inside it was about just what species was he. "Im a human. I look like any of you but without the wings. Are race never had wings. Its strange that you people have wings buts it really complicated to explain why. Im not sure myself." When she put a pillow under him he told her thanks and how great of a care giver she was.
Marai was sitting on the small table again and was watching him as he explained what he was. He was human, huh? She remembered from the stories about a human that came to their world and that was were the English language originated from on her planet. She smiled when he had said she was a good caregiver and then she nodded as he finished explaining about what a human was and that they never had wings. "We decend from Great Butterfly. That why we have wings." She let her wings rise up and then go back down against her back. She then came up with an idea that would help them both.

"Cecil, if you teach me En-English," She managed to get out roughly, "Then I teach you my language." She smiled and winked at him before she stood up and left the room again. When she came back, she had a brightly colored blanket and she put it over him. "You rest now, talk later." She waited until he was finished eating before she took his bowl and went to wash it out and she got another bowl and filled it with more of the porriage and she started to eat it, savoring the flavor of it.
Cecil thought about a great butterfly. He thought about how strange it was and about the reproduction that happened. It could just my a myth though. Strange. A world so like earth but with a different past so different from ares. He watched her wings as she opened them. He had seen them before but this time only payed attention to them. A rainbow wing, with the pattern of butterfly's wings. He had never seen a butterfly with wings that beautiful. They where decedents of a great butterfly and she would probably be a direct one.

She put them back in and he floated to reality. Its like they took away all pain in the aw of them. He listened to her words. Teach me. Ill teach you. He was not sure if she was capable of teaching him but he was sure he could teach her. He would give it a chance. She put a blanket over him and told him to rest. He was sure he could manage a small conversation. He told her and asked her. "I can teach you. Do you have a school here?" He wanted to know more about the village.
Marai heard him ask his question and she went back to where he could see her, still eating her porriage. "Yes, we have school. I don't go no more." She smiled and nodded. She had finished it up and now she was just relaxing before she started to work with the other women. She was glad when he said that she would teach him and she ate more of her porriage, staring at his face. It was so dull and she now knew that the others would be a little reluctant to come near him because he was so dull looking. But she somehow knew he was smarter than them. If he knew how to fly a ship, since she overheard what he said earlier, then he must have been smart.

But if he was here, then where were the other humans. "Weren't there more of you?" She asked him, trying to let him know that she was asking about the people on his ship. Wouldn't they be somewhere on the planet? If so, then they would be able to find them and take care of them and then what would happen? There was no kind of ship on the planet and there was nothing they could do to make another one, since no Volumi was that smart.

He watched her stare at his face examining him. He wondered what she was thinking. She seemed absolutely fascinated with him. Maybe for her own gain.

Cecil knew no one lived. It was impossible and He knew it the ship was obliterated. Any man or women crew member who left, left dead. Cecil told here the truth He closed his eyes and said. "There was more. They are dead now. There nothing anyone could do. It was an error." He was not deeply sad for he did not feel much emotion for his crew members. But the lost of life was significant, he was not a sadist. He was no connected on any deep level with them other then friends. No family, no one loved so the pain was weak and lowered to more of a thing for animals.

((its porridge not porriage lol))
((Lol, oh bite me. ninja But thank you for letting me know how it was spelled. Sometimes I miss things like that. ^^; ))

A sad look came over her face and she nodded as she stood up and set her bowl down before she left the room and went into another room. It was filled with candles and she took a small fire, which was kept going all the time, and she lit the candles. When they were all lit, she gave a small bow to them and then went back to where he was. She picked up her bowl and continued to eat as she went back to examining him. Maybe he had questions about her kind, since she had so many about his. Marai had also seen him look at her wings when they were out and she gave a small smile as she raised them again.

She then turned so one of them was extended towards him, the rainbow of colors catching in the light and making it shine. "As long as you no pull, you may touch." She nodded to him and was smiling lightly at him. "If you any questions about us then ask. I answer." Marai was hoping that he could understand what she was saying. Her English sounded terrible compared to his and she wanted to perfect it and she was glad he would help her.

She left, then returned from a room with candle light. He had not seen any bulbs yet so he inferred there was no power. This world would be not be so pleasant at night. Including during the winter with extended nights. It was hard to get things done by candle light. Cecil knew he would get used to it, but he did not want to start. He had too though and would since there was no other option. Well if the seasons worked like that. The worst realization for Cecil is they probably did no have any electricity in general making it hard for him to be able to build a radio being not a real student of science and technology. Maybe if there where other scientists he could work with. Cecil was not sure but there might have been a way to escape one day. Even though it seems like the rest of his life would be on this interesting planet.

((gah that paragraph made no sense))

When she returned Cecil was looking up at the wood ceiling. She spoke and he turned his head to her. " I well no pull." He put his right hand out and used the tips of his finger to gently feel it. It felt like silk but not of silk. The pattern could be felt and after a few moment he returned his hand to his side. "Your wings are soft. They feels as nice as they look."

(( NOM! NOM! NOM! wings are tasty!))
((NO! Not the wings! xd LOL!))

Marai felt his hand on her wing and she shivered with the touch. The wing was a part of her and it just seemed to be one of the most sensitive places she had. When he took his hand away, she grinned at what he said and then moved over to him and pushed him back a little, making sure to do it gently. She then laid next to him and had her head on his chest lightly, staring at his face. He almost reminded her of her father and she then turned her head and closed her eyes, resting against him. Her wings came back to her back and she just relaxed against him. "I tired." She told him and then after a few seconds was asleep. She knew he wouldn't do anything to her and if he did, then she would most likely call the others from the village and they would handle him. She trusted him to be in her home and with her and she slept peacefully next to him.

((Aww, how cute! ^_^ I think she likes him a little bit, lol. And sorry if it's short. ^^; ))

((yes how nice and maybe awkward heh
and
hes kinda much too cripple to do anything xD))

Cecil was astounded by her for a moment. Probably a lot. He was sure there was more to come too. He had not set out to see the world. To eat the food. To work the fields. To write the books. Or to see the politicians.

Cecil was nudged back by her and she joined him. It was kinda confusing for him. He just went with the flow. She must of really trusted him. He trusted her too but as a care giver. They looked into ech other for a moment until she relaxed on his chest. "I am tired too." He knew tomorrow would be a painful day though. The night after an accident is the worst. He was mental prepared for it though and closed his eyes. He fell asleep himself.
Marai woke up in the middle of the night and she pulled away from him slowly and went to get some medicine. She knew he would be in pain and while he slept, she slipped a purple liquid into his mouth. It would taste somewhat like mint but it would help him sleep and heal up his body. The Svanti knew she had it and that was one of the reasons why he had let the girl take care of Cecil. When she was sure he was taken care of, she went back to the table and watched him as he slept. He looked so different than a normal Volumi and she wondered how his race didn't have wings. She sighed quietly and then went to get her something to drink, thinking about everything that had happened.

He would be able to walk a little bit in the morning and she would probably take him to the village and show him around. He seemed to be really interesting in her kind and she just wanted him to teach her some things about his world. She wanted to know what kind he had come from and if it was anything like theirs. She finished her water, which was what she had gotten to drink, and she went back over to him and got back next to him and closed her eyes, falling asleep next to him again as she pulled the blanket over them both.
Cecil dreamed of a great butterfly. Sailing across the sky with a very large wings. The butterfly of there people. The wings where a prefect rainbow mixtures and its looked as if diamonds rested upon it. Cecil watched it from the ground. He saw smaller butterfly's along with it. Ones that shared the beauty of the great butterfly. The meadow grew high as it flew over giving it life. It grew to Cecil chest. He kept watching this butterfly as it sailed across out of sight. The smaller child's or maybe just butterfly's fallowed.

In the middle of the night she awoken and dripped some medicine in to his mouth. It was of good flavor but Cecil was not awake to taste it. Cecil coughed a tiny bit as it went down but then settled down. He was in his subconscious . The part of the brain that can learn by itself. From the spirits. They must have been teaching him.

Cecil woke up in the early morning rested and felt very well compared to how he felt. Something must of blessed him. The spirits of the butterfly? Something she fed him. The doctor? Something. He looked over to Marai and just stared at her not wanting to wake her. He waited for her to wake.
Marai didn't take long to wake up and when she did, she yawned and then looked up at Cecil. "Morning Cekil." She grinned, not having realized she said his name wrong again. She got up and stretched her body out and her wings went up as high as they could before they went back against her body. She left the room and came back with a small bottle and spoon. In the bottle was a clear liquid and she poured some of it into the spoon and held it out to him. "I make myself. It heal bone in leg." She pointed to his leg after she had set the bottle down and once he took the spoon, she sat down on the table and watched him.

"Can't give you alot, you get sick." She nodded. Their medicine was meant in small doses and she wouldn't be able to give him anymore for another week, until the medicine she had given him wore off. Once it did, his leg would be as good as new. Then she would give him something for his rib and then his arm. It would be given in small doses and she wouldn't break her custom. She tilted her head and smiled at him. "Feel better this morning?"
