Marai slept terribly and when she woke up, she went to take a shower. She stayed under the water and just stared at the ceiling as the colors on her wings glittered on the ceiling. She sighed and then shook her head as she pulled her wings around her. At the very tip, she noticed something different and she stared at it and then gasped as she continued to stare. It was very small and only if you looked closely you could see it but that small part was slightly black. She wrapped herself up in a towel and then ran to her house, hiding in her room as she tried to figure out what was going on.

Krisan walked down the road and was going to check on Marai, since she had disappeared yesterday, and he saw Cecil. He walked up to him and stopped next to him. "Is everything ok Cecil?" He asked and glanced up and down at the man. He looked like he had slept in the woods and then he sighed. "Where have you been all night? And do you know where Marai is?"

Krisan walked down the road and was going to check on Marai, since she had disappeared yesterday, and he saw Cecil. He walked up to him and stopped next to him. "Is everything ok Cecil?" He asked and glanced up and down at the man. He looked like he had slept in the woods and then he sighed. "Where have you been all night? And do you know where Marai is?"

Cecil turned to Krisan. He responded to him without thinking instantly. "No. Everything's going a bit crazy. I was in the woods all night i left to go think and Marai tryed to stop me. I told her to leave me and I would be back. She left and now im back. Im not sure where she is because i have not seen if she was there." He said to him and then walked up to the house and knocked on the door hoping she would answer.

Marai jumped when she heard someone knock on the door and she dressed quickly and then looked at her wing. It was back to normal but she was still unnerved about it. She put on a white dress and then went to the door. She opened it and saw Cecil and Krisan standing there. As much as she wanted to hug Cecil, she didn't move towards him. She nodded and held the door open. "Come on in." She smiled at them both and then went over to the couch and sat on it, looking over at them. She made sure not to keep her attention on Cecil and was trying to play the part of keeping her distance from him, even though she didn't want to.

Cecil nodded and went into the house. He looked to Marai almost wanted to ask her about the dream but knew that if Krisan was an enemy that it would make him want Cecil immediately gone. Again it might just be nothing. He sat down on a wooden chair not to get the fabric dirty. It was the least discomforting thing he did for the last 12 hours. Krisan sat down too. Cecil was the first to spoke and had a smile. "Can we have some tea?" He asked and hoped to have what ever she was making for breakfast. He looked to Krisan, Cecil was really not sure what to say he felt almost awkward around him. Cecil scratched his arm where the bug bites annoyed the skin

Marai waited until both were in before she closed the door. She noticed the bug bites on his arm and she sighed as she looked at Krisan. "Get my medicine kit please." The man stood up and left the room as Marai went to the kitchen to make them something to eat. When she came back, she had a small cup filled with some green liquid, which was their tea, just as Krisan came back. She took the kit and pulled out a small jar and opened it before she took some of the creme and put it on the bites on Cecil's arm. "You need to take better care of yourself." She told him and when she was done, she stood up and nodded before she walked away. Krisan raised an eyebrow at what was going on and he gave Cecil a questioning look, somewhat asking if everything was ok.

Marai waited until both were in before she closed the door. She noticed the bug bites on his arm and she sighed as she looked at Krisan. "Get my medicine kit please." The man stood up and left the room as Marai went to the kitchen to make them something to eat. When she came back, she had a small cup filled with some green liquid, which was their tea, just as Krisan came back. She took the kit and pulled out a small jar and opened it before she took some of the creme and put it on the bites on Cecil's arm. "You need to take better care of yourself." She told him and when she was done, she stood up and nodded before she walked away. Krisan raised an eyebrow at what was going on and he gave Cecil a questioning look, somewhat asking if everything was ok.

Marai put the creme on Cecil's arm it caused a cold sensation. The bites felt like there where not there anymore. Cecil then picked up the cup and sipped the green tea. She said he had to take care of himself and he did. So motherly. She walked away and he looked to Krisan again who had a questioning expression. He did not say anything for a moment then talked. He felt so little but so much trust in him. "Krisan I feel like i can trust you. Theres so much anxiety here that comes from the people. I dont feel like i can relax ever because Its like a game being played. I told Marai what they told me about. Said that she should not hug me and or get to close or they might take me away. I do not want to go away from here." He told him looked at him then laid his head back and closed his eyes. He needed some food a shower and sleep because last night was hell. Cecil experienced it on all fronts.

A long time ago, there was a terrible evil that killed our great butterfly. Those people died but everyone still remembers that they will come back, this time in a different form." He nodded and then bent down, not knowing he had just repeated what Cecil had dreamed about. "Is there anything you want to ask about our history? It might explain why everyone treats you the way they do."

When Krisan taked Cecil was questing himself about Marai. Did those wings happen often or where they so rare that they have not been seen for hundred of years. "How often do rainbow wings happen?" He asked Krisan as they walked towards the bath house.

Cecil started to understand more about how everyone thought she as special. He still wondered though what about the ones with black. The impure ones like him. When and how do they return. "What about the black wings. When do they come. Every time there's a rainbow winged?" He felt odd when he said that. When did they come. Was he one? He thought to Marai and knew why it was so odd for them to be together. Now he wondered what Krisan thought. This made him question Krisans trust again but he wanted to keep it because he was the only one not to be mean and a bully to Cecil.

"Black wings?" Krisan looked at him and made a face. "How did you know about that?" He then shook his head and waved his hand at him. "Nevermind, how you know is not important. But yes, those with black wings come everytime there is one with rainbow wings. It was always one person and they did kill the ones before Marai but somehow, this time is different. No one had told us anything about one of us having black wings and everyone is on edge. Our planet will go into chaos is she is killed. I hate to say it but you may be able to protect her better than we can." He sighed and looked at him.

"Black wings?" Krisan looked at him and made a face. "How did you know about that?" He then shook his head and waved his hand at him. "Nevermind, how you know is not important. Cecil had an 'oh s**t' moment and his heart raced. He though Krisan might have got edgy but he did not and soon enough his heart slowed. He listened to Krisan carefully because this is what he wanted to know. This was everything. But if it was about influence and not about death then again its different. He spoke after Krisan was done. "So you trust me Krisan. Do you think my presence good or bad? " He was probably right he would be the one to protect her if she would be attacked. When Krisan sighed he seemed sad about the whole but why. Cecil felt crazy for being suspicious about everything right now but he tried to put it to the back of his mind.

Krisan looked at him and stared at him before he sighed. "The last human to be here brought a lot of books with him so some out our scholars decided to write books for the Volumi, so we would have them and not have to worry about the books that are in English. Those are for teaching." He sat down and ran a hand through his head. "I did some research yesterday after both you and Marai disappeared and from what I saw, your presence here is a good one. One of the scholar's, when he wrote his books, claimed to have had a vision of the future and wrote it down. It was about humans coming to our planet. At the moment, it's just you, but more might come, if they are looking for you." He looked up at him and gave a serious look.

"One of the humans who comes to find you will have black wings. They will hide it well and no one knows what this human has but it's a dangerous thing. You can protect Marai better because you know human customs better than we do." He then shrugged his shoulders. "All this was written down in a vision so I have no idea if it'll come true or not. If it is, the only advice that I give to you is to be watchful when you contact anyone else like you. Don't trust anyone completely, unless you've known them your whole life."

Cecil listened and nodded his head to Krisan. It seemed like the human that came here made quite an impact but it did not change much. This world is too odd. Thinking to the philosopher he did not believe in what the man wrote. It would take years to get here on the newest space ship. Even though there has been 4 years of scientific he doubt that they have made a faster ship then the almost experimental one he was on. "I dont believe that a new human would come because it would be years until another ship could get here." Cecil told. "But I will be careful with a contact if i cant make one. I have a radio component....." He did not say anything other then that. "I promise to be careful." Cecil said this but then would forget about it because it did not seem like another human would come. If one did it seemed like it would not be a problem. He opened the door to the bat house.

Krisan nodded and walked into the bathhouse and sat inside. He still didn't fully trust Cecil but he seemed like the best person they could trust with Marai. Whether he believed it or not, something was going to happen and it would be unexpected. "So, you should be fine as long as you just watch what you do." He smiled and then looked away, sighing.

Meanwhile, Marai had flown away without saying a word to them and went back to the escape pod and leaned inside. She stared at the panels and studied them before she slipped inside, making sure to position her wings so she could get out, and then she pushed a random button and her foot accidentally hit the radio.
