Hayden frowned minutely to herself as he let go of her. She stood awkwardly for a moment, then heard the announcement that the doors would be opening soon. She knew the drill: get in a line, no pushing, first come=first row... Although most got overanxious and pushed anyways, regardless of the rules. She always hated that part. To her surprise, Brandon extended his arm to her, which she gladly took, shuddering to think about all the aggressiveness she'd face without someone protecting her.
The doors opened, and sure enough, people got too overzealous and tried to make their way through the small doors at the same time. He held Hayden close to him and he maneuvered through the madhouse ahead of them and straight into the front row.
"Wow...I've never been up this far before! We're so close!" she near-yelled, the crowd was rushing in and the volume in the venue was growing by the second.
Brandon reassured her that she'd be safe in front of him, so she positioned herself in the tiny space between him and the guardrail. As he smiled at her, she once again found herself smiling, too.
