xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxJonathan Myers
- ❧ Jonathan is a bona fide hero - or, he will be, after he finishes with school.
❧ He can control plants and use them to his bidding. It doesn't sound that powerful, until you see him in action. He's not one to underestimate.
❧ Coming from a strong superhero family gave him a strong sense of right and wrong and some heavy idols to live up to. He does his best, but the pressure gets to him.
❧ I'll do whatever it takes to turn this around

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxMya von Doom
- ☁ Mya can control the weather, to an extent. It's a powerful ability, but her control is lacking. The weather over the school frequently reflects her mood.
⇊ Her status as a villain came more from her family name than her own inclinations. She's actually sweet, most of the time.
⇊ Though rather quiet, and not so good with people, don't take that for dumb. Mya is bright and catches on to theory quickly, though practice is something else...

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxCERISE MARJOLAINE-NOELE LACROIX
- ★ Rather than being born into a villainous family like many others, Cerise was always simply itching to ruin things. She'd always had a destructive, temperamental personality so it was no surprise to anyone that she ended up as a villain.
★ She's been graced with the power of superhuman strength, which really fits quite well with her high-maintenance, irritable persona.
★ Despite being very snappy and simply coming off as a cold b***h, Cerise is actually very kind to anyone who's on her good side. When it comes to people who she actually likes she can be a regular, fun, sweet girl.
★ And late at night I wonder, am I lightning lacking thunder?

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxADEN IGNATIUS BRENTON
- ↻ Aden, or 'Iggy' as he prefers, was actually born into a family of big-time heroes with water-related powers. So when Iggy popped out, a destructive little child with the power to manipulate and create fire, he was definitely considered the dark horse of the family, even more so when he ended up becoming a henchman for the villains' side.
↻ His powers are definitely reflected by his personality. He's extremely hot-headed, and he gets very bitter and immature when he doesn't have his way. Not to mention that he resorts to violence just to get things done.
↻ He tends to shut most people out, but once he does let someone in he's extremely, extremely loyal.
↻ I could swear that I don't care, but you know I'm too full of sh*t to think this through.

- ★ AND TELL YOU ONCE AGAIN, DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU'RE SCARED
"Ugh. What's so appealing about going to school? Please, my dear, enlighten me." Cerise Lacroix scoffed, rolling her eyes as she briskly walked down the hallway. She heard her brother answering her question behind her, but she paid him no mind. It had really been more of a rhetorical thing, but that poor twin of hers didn't seem to realize that. Instead, he simply began to chatter away about some thing or another. The blonde let out an irritated sigh, digging through the backpack hanging over her shoulder. "Dammit, now where did I put my wallet...? Chamois, will you go and fetch it for--""Oof! Sorry!" Cerise blinked in slight surprise, stumbling backwards and bumping right into her brother. Now, what idiot actually had the nerve to run into Cerise Lacroix? On a day like this, too, when she was so stressed out she felt just about ready to rip someone's head off? She watched as a girl--a hero's sidekick, if she remembered correctly--quickly scrambled up from the ground. Cerise pursed her lips. Oh, this poor soul. The girl knew she had made a mistake, too. Her eyes were wide, and her hands seemed a little shaky. The girl was very, very right to be scared. Cerise was notorious around this place for her nasty temper. She was utterly infamous for snapping at the slightest things. So it couldn't have possibly surprised anyone when Cerise slowly slid the backpack off her shoulder, handed it to Chamoisee, strutted right up to the girl, and gave her a good uppercut right to the jaw. Of course, Cerise had gone very, very easy on her. With that super strength of hers, if she would've put enough power into that punch she probably would've broken the girl's jaw and a few of her teeth. In Cerise's humble opinion, at least, the girl had gotten off easy with what seemed like only a slightly dislocated jaw. Cerise stared at the girl coldly for another moment. It seemed as if they had an audience gathering, all their peers watching expectantly, anticipating the fight that would surely ensue. Well, if one could really call Cerise bashing the girl's face in a 'fight.'
But instead of pleasing the people, Cerise simply said, "Let's not do that again. Get it? Got it? Good." She watched, an amused smirk playing over her lips, as the girl stared at her, eyes full of horror, for about a half a minute before turning and scampering off down the hallway. "Right. Well. Where are we going now, Chamois?" She asked, turning and taking her bag from her brother's hands. She slipped her arms through the straps before turning and strutting down the hallway once more. "Theory, I think," he answered, and she immediately groaned in displeasure. There were no words to describe the passionate, burning hatred she had for that class. Whether that was because she found the class boring or because she had a failing grade in it and she couldn't retain any knowledge from it to save her life, she didn't know. Either way, she really would prefer to waste as much time as possible simply dawdling about if it meant she could avoid heading to the class.
So she wandered down this hallway and that, eventually coming across the school's vending machines. "Oi," she said, absentmindedly snapping her fingers towards her twin. "Five bucks." She narrowed her eyes as she carefully studied her options. Well, she could get a chocolate bar. Chocolate always seemed to give her just enough energy to raise enough hell for the day. Then again, she could get chips. And she could throw those chips at those self-righteous, snooty heroes during theory to at least make it somewhat less painful. Or, hell, she could get both. It wasn't as if Mr. and Mrs. Lacroix didn't send Cerise and her twin enough money each month to afford it. She snapped her fingers again. "Five more bucks." She felt two bills being placed into her hand, and she stuffed one of them in through the slot before jamming her finger against a few of the buttons. She narrowed her eyes towards the machine, waiting expectantly for her chocolate bar, which fell agonizingly slowly. Then she put in the other bill before bashing her fingers onto another three buttons, this time resulting in a bag of chips beginning to fall. But... the bag seemed to catch on something. "Hey, what the...?" Cerise placed her hands on the sides of the machine and shook it some. The bag of chips was still held tight by something unseen. "Oh, dammit." She took a step back and gave the machine a good, hard kick. Sure enough, that caused the chips to fall. It also left a small dent in the side of the vending machine, but that could be dealt with later. And just then, the bell began to ring, signifying their being perfectly late for class. Then again, when weren't the Lacroix twins late for class?
Cerise tore open the chocolate bar's wrapper and slid the bag of chips into her backpack, knowing she would most certainly need them later. Then she jerked her thumb down the hall towards the class where they were supposed to be before turning and heading in that direction. Cerise and her twin lingered by the door for a few minutes while the villain finished off her treat, but eventually they did waltz into the classroom, Cerise wearing a very smug, grandiose smile on her face. She heard the teacher say, "Late again, Lacroix?" She immediately glanced over towards her brother. Now, who was the old coot talking to? "We've gone back to that thing of stating the obvious now?" She asked, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly. For a moment, she and the teacher had a sort of staring contest until finally, the old man instructed her and her twin to sit. Rolling her eyes for what must've been the umpteenth time that day, Cerise slid into her seat just behind mister prettyboy hero, Jonathan. Well, at least he was easy on the eyes. He had that going for him. The lecture started immediately, and Cerise turned to the bag she'd set on the floor and pulled out her books, papers, and notebooks, along with the bag of chips she'd bought earlier. "Let the games begin," she whispered under her breath, ripping the bag open. She poured a couple of the chips out onto the desk in front of her and began to flick them in all sorts of directions, one of them eventually hitting Jonathan squarely in the back of the head. Cerise couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle, covering up the chips with one of her notebooks and trying to look innocent.

Rumor had it that if the von Doom name was uttered out loud, thunder would strike. Never mind that it was lightening that stroke and thunder rolled. That was just the rumor. Everyone knew it was a stupid rumor, because everyone had muttered it under their breath at some time or another to test it. That didn’t change the fact that rumors like that followed Mya around from the day she was born. For the small red haired girl, it was quite an expectation to live up to. Everyone expected her to be mighty and powerful, cold and callous, dangerous and deadly. She could go on, but she wouldn’t. The truth was, the young girl was more likely to be found playing with finger paints over terrorizing the other children in her preschool. And when her powers manifested, her parents were pleased as punch that she could control the weather, but lightning made her cover herself with blankets and try to calm herself so the storm would pass. She would never admit it out loud, but fierce storms still had that effect on her. All in all, she was a rather terrible super villain.
Her parents, unsure about what to do with her, sent her to the best school for children with powers like her. The sorters only had to read her name and she was tossed to the villain side of things, where she was as out of place as much as she had been at home. It was a vicious cycle. At least here, the name kept her from being bullied. She had four brothers come through the school in front of her, and the collateral damage was still discussed. With that kind of legacy in front of her, no one wanted to risk irritating Mya, even if she was quiet for the most part and kept to herself.
The only exception to that was Aden, or Iggy as he seemed to like better. He was just as odd with his family as she was with hers, though for different reasons. She’d chosen him as her henchman, if only because her family had sponsored him in his path to villainy and he was the only person that she knew. The two of them got along, but it was an interesting relationship, to say the least. He was twice as villainous as she could ever aspire to be and her parents spoke higher of him than they ever did. As far as her parents were concerned, Mya was an embarrassing mistake, one that they’d sooner forget about. Somehow, in family pictures, she always managed to be behind her brothers, who were all a head taller than she was. If she had anyone to show those photos to, she’d have to point at a small sliver of red between two elbows.
At the moment she was in the one class that she actually did decently in. Certainly practices weren’t her strong suit, but this, this studying and memorizing she could do. Mya twirled her pen between her fingers and waited for the lecture to begin. Before the teacher could start, but well after class was supposed to have begun, a blonde girl entered. Mya grinned to see her friend, Cerise, enter. Now there was a villainess to admire. She spoke to the teacher in a way that Mya would dream and soon took a seat. The lecture began, but Cerise was paying no attention. She was bothering Jonathon instead.
Mya laid her head on her desk and grimaced. ”Why can’t I just do stuff like that?” she asked Iggy, who was sitting next to her. ”It doesn’t look that hard…” She kept her voice low. Even as she wished that she could be more heinous, Mya found herself incapable of causing trouble.
And who is to say?
And who are they anyway?
Stand up boy,
I shine so bright when you're around
And who are they anyway?
Stand up boy,
I shine so bright when you're around

Aden Brenton, known to most as Iggy, was skipping class again today. It was a regular occurrence, though, really. When was Iggy not skipping class? It wasn't his fault the teachers at this school were painfully boring, was it? With the extra-long lectures they gave, they practically asked for their students to ditch class. That was the case in Iggy's mind, anyway. And that was why right about now, when he was supposed to be heading from one class to the next, he was instead laying sprawled out on the school's rooftop, basking in the sun. Oh, yes. The rooftop. If Iggy wasn't in class, you could bet money that this was where he was wasting his time. It was warm, open, and rather solitary. It was probably his second-favorite place, his very favorite being by Mya von Doom's side. He sighed lightly, allowing his eyes to fall shut. The thought of the girl made him crease his brows together in what was a mixture of annoyance and admiration. Admiration because... well, how could you not admire her? She was gorgeous, she was sweet, she was down-to-earth, and all this despite being a villainess. And annoyance because Mya was completely unaware of how Iggy pined after her day in and day out, and how just having one conversation with her made his entire day, and how whenever someone made her upset he would go and hunt them down later that day and set their hair on fire. She didn't know about any of it, and frankly, it hit Iggy hard. There were some days where he would imply that he wanted to be more than just Mya's henchman, but she never seemed to get the hint. It just frustrated him so much that sometimes he wanted to rip his own hair out. Luckily enough, today he was actually in a pretty good mood. He didn't feel the urge to punch a hero in the face, or set one of the sidekicks on fire. Then again, that was probably because his next class was one he had with Mya. The thought of it just brought a goofy smile to his lips.
Iggy shook the smile away as he climbed down the ladder and strolled into the school, just in time to see the notorious Cerise Lacroix slug some sidekick girl in the face. Even Iggy, who was about twice Cerise's size, winced in sympathetic pain for the sidekick. A few more words were exchanged, Cerise simply being her regular, bitchy, bullying self, and soon enough the crowd they'd drawn broke up, Iggy included. He headed down the hall in a hurry to get to theory. He always took special care to make sure he arrived before Mya, just so he could be a gentleman and push her chair in for her. But today, when he walked in the door, the villainess was already in her seat. Iggy cursed himself, stamping one foot against the ground childishly before heading over and plopping down into the seat beside her. "Hey there," he said, offering her a small smile. He took a notebook from his bag and opened it to a page towards the middle, also pulling out a pen. In the few classes he did attend, Iggy worked very hard. That was mostly so that if Mya ever needed help on the homework then he could offer it, but oh, well. He got the job done. The bell rang soon, and there were a few minutes of just shuffling about and getting the rowdy students into order before the lectures were about to start. Then, of course, the Lacroix twins came in. Iggy rolled his eyes. Frankly, he hated the twins. He thought Cerise was an attention-craving, rude tomboy who needed to be put into her place. And the male, Chamoisee? He was just lazy. And a man-whore, if the rumors were true. Either way, Iggy just didn't like them. Cerise could be nice on her good days, though, and she was nice to Mya, so Iggy treated her with utmost politeness. He watched as Cerise had a snarky little exchange with the teacher before finally getting into her seat, but it seemed her rudeness wouldn't end there. The crinkling of a bag of chips reached Iggy's ears, and when he glanced over towards the blonde, she was flicking Doritos at... well, everyone.
Iggy let out an exasperated sigh, shaking his head. He really, really wanted to just burn those chips to an ash. And maybe singe off a little of Cerise's hair, too. But as long as she was nice to Mya, then Iggy could play nice. Speaking of Mya, he heard the villainess speak beside him, asking why she couldn't do things like Cerise did. Iggy chuckled dryly and shook his head. "You don't actually want to be like Cerise, do you?" He asked, giving her a look of disbelief. In all honesty, Iggy found it admirable that Mya wasn't as evil as some of the other villains. If she began to try and act like Cerise, he wasn't sure just what he would do. He cleared his throat softly before saying, in a softer tone, "I think you're evil enough exactly the way you are, you know." He let out a light, melodramatic sigh. "So... There's a dance type of thing coming up sometime soon, right...?" He asked, trying to sound nonchalant. Well, hey. Maybe for this dance, Iggy could actually work up the courage to ask Mya to go with him. Last time he'd bought her fifty roses, then chickened out at the very, very last minute. He didn't plan on letting that happen this year.

JONATHANMYERSxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Don't hide the broken parts that I need to see"
"Like it or not it's the way it's gotta be
You gotta love yourself if you can ever love me"
"Like it or not it's the way it's gotta be
You gotta love yourself if you can ever love me"
Jonathan wasn’t sure who had the idea of training superheroes and villains all in one school, but he thought it was a poor one. Somehow he’d become the go to guy on the heroes side when the villains got out of hand, and while he didn’t mind helping out where he could, it was an exhaustion that he didn’t think he should have. ”I understand. I’ll speak with him, and see what I can do.” The girl in front of him nodded and continued to look at him with wide eyes. She was new to the school, if he remembered right. Just eighteen, which meant her powers were likely new to her. And she’d already managed to get onto Jason Barnes bad side.
He reached out and ruffled her short dark hair. ”Don’t worry. We look out for our own over here. That’s why we’re better than they are.” She pumped her head in another nod and he smiled. Lord knew how he’d become the liaison with the villains (which more often than not meant fist fights behind the dorms) but he was good at it. New villains tended to scoff when they heard what he could do. That disdain lasted all the way up until they saw him fight, and it was usually replaced with terror. For being a hero, Jon could put on a good show of being fearsome if he needed to. It was a lot of pressure, being the leader, being perfect. And it was only getting harder with months instead of years in front of him at school. How was he supposed to go and make it in the real world? For all his responsibilities, he sometimes still felt like the young kid with wide eyes who had stepped through the threshold so many years ago.
”I’ve got a class now, but I’ll take care of it before the day is through. He won’t harass you any more, one way or another.” It was no secret that Jon and Jason were rivals. Everyone knew that they would become nemesis after graduation – certainly they had enough scuffles now. Jason was stronger overall, but his plants weren’t good conductors and he managed to hold his own against the blonde male. That Jason was the most prominent male villain only cemented their status as two halves of the same coin.
Well, the other male was a problem for later. Right now he had theory and he hated to be late for class. Jonathan was a bit of a golden boy for the teachers – another honor he had to work to maintain – and he’d hate to lose that. The girl left, no longer crying like she had been when she first came to his dorm, and he followed her, heading to class. Jonathan took a seat towards the middle and prepared his notebook. Where was Anna? His sidekick was always there on time, and it was unusual for her to miss a class. The door opened and he looked, expecting it to be her.
It wasn’t.
It was Cerise and her brother… Charmin or something. Or wasn’t that a type of toilet paper? Jonathan didn’t remember, nor did he really care. Both of them were trouble. She was just as much a pain in his a** as Jason was, and when she moved to sit behind him, he knew that this wasn’t going to end well.
Sure enough, not a few minutes later, something smacked into the back of his head. It didn’t hurt, not really, but it was sure as hell annoying. His hand gripped his pencil so hard that his knuckles turned white. This was not the place to call her out. In front of him, the teacher was going on about this theory or that, and he grit his teeth. Goddamn, Cerise was annoying. He was going to ignore her though – until he heard her chuckled. Jonathan cast a look behind him and saw that she was trying to look innocent. That was annoying, to say the least. He twisted his lips as he looked forward again and then, moving slowly so as not to attract attention, he flicked his pencil over his shoulder. Jon was rewarded with the fleshy thump of pencil hitting girl and he muttered, ”My point,” under his breath, but still loud enough for her to hear. If she wanted to do this, then bring it on.
But remember the time I told you the way that I felt
That I'd be lost without you and never find myself

- ★ AND TELL YOU ONCE AGAIN, DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU'RE SCARED
Cerise allowed an excited smile to play over her lips as Jonathan gripped his pencil so hard his knuckles turned white. She had to stifle a giggle, actually, and her brother sitting next to her was trying not to laugh, too. It was a very typical thing of Jonathan to do, she thought to herself, leaning back in her seat for a little while. He always had to look like the hero, so he covered up whatever temper he had. According to Cerise, he also covered up any ounce of fun he may have had in his body. Frankly, she thought Jonathan really needed to just let loose and party for a little while. But no, he was always prim and proper and all about living up to his family's name. He would probably be a pretty fun guy to hang out with if he weren't so uptight. And if he wasn't a hero, that is. Either way, Cerise thought it would be rather fun to maybe corrupt him a little bit, tug him on over to the dark side. For now, though, she would have to settle for flinging chips at the back of his head during class when she should be focusing.
Cerise leaned forward and began to sweep the leftover chips forward off the edge of her desk, still snickering softly under her breath. And then, thwap. The blonde's jaw immediately dropped. Had... had something just hit her forehead? By utter instinct, she slammed her hands down onto the table (she heard the wood crack slightly) and pushed herself up from her seat, snapping, "Ow!" She lifted a hand and gently grazed her fingertips over the spot where she'd been hit. She leaned forward further, and there was the culprit, lying on the ground. A pencil. Someone had thrown a pencil at her. "Miss Lacroix, what seems to be the problem?" Cerise pursed her lips. Of course, she could just tell the teacher that the turd sitting in front of her, named Jonathan, had thrown a pencil at her like they were in high school or something, but instead, she curtly shook her head before sitting down again. Then, once the teacher had turned his back and continued speaking, Cerise leaned forward and lightly slapped Jonathan on the back of the head. "Wow, rude," she said, in a soft, hushed tone. "Geez, a pencil? Really? What are you, a first-grader?" Of course, Cerise wasn't one to talk. Hell, she'd been flicking Doritos across the classroom only a moment ago. Either way, in Cerise's not-so-humble opinion, Jonathan was definitely the one at fault here. "Could've taken an eye out, you little douche," she mumbled, just barely loud enough for him to hear. She leaned back into her seat and began to quietly pack up her notebooks, pushing all the leftover chips onto the ground in the process. But, of course, that wasn't the end of Cerise. In all her stubborn, hard-headed glory, she refused to let Jonathan have the last laugh. So after waiting once more for the teacher to turn his back, she picked up her things and stepped around her own desk and into the one beside Jonathan.
"Hello, my darling," she greeted him in a quiet whisper, with a play-grandiose tone. She batted her eyelashes and twisted her lips up into a sarcastic smile. "Where's your little, er... friend?" She asked, scrunching her nose up in contempt at just the mention of Anna. Then, as a friend would jokingly elbow another friend, Cerise elbowed Jonathan's arm. Except rather than giving him just a friendly nudge, she elbowed him hard enough to bruise. "I hope she's not, oh... dying at the bottom of a well." She said dryly, rolling her eyes. She turned back and glanced towards the door, figuring that once Anna did show up, she would move back into her own seat. She couldn't have little miss annoying sidekick go and whine to the teacher now, could she? "How is she, by the way? Still following you day in and day out like some sort of stupid puppy who's lost its mother?" She supposed technically, she and her brother's relationship could almost be considered the same. He trailed behind her almost constantly. Except in the twins' case, she considered him equal, despite his henchman status and her villainess status. Rather than being a Robin to her Batman or a Watson to her Holmes, (or... their evil equivalents, rather) she thought of her twin as more of a Yin to her Yang, a perfectly even pair. On the other hand, surely Jonathan thought Anna was scum. Who in their right mind actually thought heroes' sidekicks were actually worth anything at all? Sometimes henchmen could be useful, or even entertaining. Cerise liked henchmen. But on the heroes' side, their lesser counterparts were... just plain annoying. Useless. Right?

Though she was doing her best to keep up with the lecture, Mya was watching the scene between Cerise and Jonathan unfold. Jonathan was rather well known around school, and well liked on the heroes side at least. Cerise on the other hand, was feared, but that was what you wanted out of a super villainess. She knew that Iggy didn’t really like the other girl, but Mya couldn’t help but envy her.
She turned to look at him, catching his eye roll, which made her lips twitch into a grin. She wasn’t sure what his beef was, but he kept his opinion to himself, for the most part. At his question though, she paused. Did she want to be like that? Mya could be cruel, if she really wanted. But all her attempts thus far had failed. She tried shoving over a sidekick the other day, and after the boy had stumbled and skinned his knee, she went with him to the infirmary and apologized until he told her to shut up. When she graduated, she was supposed to join the evil league that her parents belonged to, but the letters she’d exchanged with them put things in perspective: if she didn’t evil up, she wasn’t going to be allowed to use the family name. The last person in the von Doom linage to suffer such a fate had been her great uncle Harry, who’d renounced being a villain and joined Greenpeace. He wasn’t ever over for the holidays.
”If I was like that, my parents wouldn’t keep leaving me at the summer house, when they came home for the fall.” Mya paused, then added, ”Three times. Three times.” She sighed. ”Think my brothers ever got left places? No, they’ve got their own chauffeurs. Well, they did. Now their henchmen just have limos.” Iggy deserved better than the life as a henchman to her. She grimaced at the thought and ruffled her red hair with a free hand, before jotting down some notes. Her thoughts were on Iggy though. He was intelligent, strong, and loyal, and he was stuck with her. Iggy could go somewhere in life, if he wanted, but not by hanging out with her.
He tried to cheer her up and she smiled, though it wasn’t exactly gleeful. ”Thanks.” Iggy was wrong of course. She needed to be more evil than she was, which was to say, not evil at all.
Iggy mentioned the dance, and the thought brightened Mya’s mood considerably. ”Yep! Friday night. It’s going to be a masquerade and ugh, I’m so excited. Did I tell you that Jason asked me to go with him?” She wasn’t sure what she did to gain the attention of the strongest villain in the place, but Mya was excited about it. Just the thought of it made her grin from ear to ear and she looked over at him, before nudging his side. ”What about you? Have you asked anyone?” Now that she thought about it, was he interested in any of the girls in their classes? He never mentioned it. ”C’mon, there’s got to be a special someone. Dish.”
It wasn’t until a hero hushed her that Mya realized she was speaking rather loud, given there was a lecture going on. Her cheeks went a little red and she ducked her head before looking back to Iggy, curious about his answer.
{{Mya isn't trying to be mean. xD}}

Iggy glanced over towards Cerise when she seemed to throw a slight fit for some reason another. The henchman simply sighed and shook his head. He was pretty sure Cerise threw dramatic little fits more often than Iggy thought about Mya, and that said a lot. He turned his attention to the villainess when she reminded him of how often her parents had left her at the von Doom summer house. Then she brought up her brothers, and Iggy laughed softly. He blurted, "Mya, your parents and your brothers can kiss my a--..." there, he trailed off before clearing his throat. "Uh, never mind. The point is, why do you try so hard to please them...? If they aren't proud of you and they ditch you at the summer house, then that's their problem. And they're missing out on a..." He ran over all the possible adjectives he could use in his head. Beautiful, amazing, perfect, sweet, lovable, terrific, flawless...? He decided to settle for a more subtle adjective. "They're missing out on a really great girl." He sighed lightly upon noticing her attempt at a smile, wishing he knew exactly how to make her feel better. Now, this kind of thing was probably the reason why he was positive Mya had never felt the slightest chunk of attraction for him. He always tried to cheer her up, but he didn't do it quite right. And he was always too skittish to try harder. He silently cursed himself for being a gutless little wimp, picking up one of the pens he'd set down on his desk earlier and jotting down a few notes on the lecture.
The conversation topic was then moved to the dance, and Mya started off by saying she was excited. Iggy let out a deep breath and opened his mouth to prepare himself to finally make the move and ask Mya to go with him, but she spoke first. She said, "Did I tell you that Jason asked me to go with him?" Iggy felt any trace of a smile fall from his lips right then. Oh, of course. He should've known that someone was going to beat him to it. Again. As it always had been. He felt his jaw tense for a moment before he plastered on a fake smile and answered, "No, you most certainly didn't tell me that." He looked straight ahead towards the teacher and narrowed his eyes slightly, his grip on his pen tightening as he continued to scrawl notes down onto the page. But due to the tenseness of his hand, soon enough he ripped a hole right through the page. "Oh, dammit," he mumbled, using his thumb to try and straighten out the hole. Now, if it were just any guy who'd asked Mya to the dance, Iggy would probably just sneak into their dorm at night and, very stealthily, he would set their bed on fire. Yes, while they were sleeping in it. But this was Jason Barnes. Villain supreme. Jason could probably kick Iggy's a** all the way to Mars without breaking a sweat. Hell, he could probably even kick Cerise's a** pretty hard. And that meant that for now, Iggy was forced to simply sulk on his own and, as usual, simply shoot snide, bitter remarks towards the guy as he passed him in the hallway. Mya then asked if Iggy planned to go with anyone special, and he shook his head, shrugging. "Oh, I dunno. I was gonna ask this one girl, but someone already asked her, so..." He gave her a slightly expectant look. Now, if that wasn't a hint he didn't know what was. Mya continued to urge him to spill the beans, and a hero hushed them. But quite honestly, it was a stupid move to hush Mya when her henchman was around, unless you actually wanted an earful of Iggy Brenton.
"Oi!" he snapped, still using a hushed tone so the teacher would just continue droning away. Iggy turned to the hero and raised his pointer finger, shoving it right into the guy's face. "You be nice to her or I will burn you in your sleep," he warned, to which the hero and his sidekick, of course, just chuckled. It was known around school that despite being rather dangerous and having fairly strong powers, Iggy wasn't too good at controlling his fire. Sure, he could control his flames well enough to, say, set someone on fire. But setting a hero on fire and actually doing damage was probably out of the picture. Ignoring their snide laughs, Iggy returned his attention to Mya. "I guess I might ask... Well, there's the new henchlady who just transferred here, right?" He shrugged halfheartedly. "Gosh, I dunno. The more I think about it, the more appealing the prospect of going stag becomes." He winked playfully, chuckling some. "What are you doing afterwards, though? The twins are probably gonna throw one of those parties again." He said, jerking his head towards Chamoisee and Cerise, the latter of which had moved up to sit by Jonathan (most likely in an attempt to antagonize him all she could). The two threw parties almost constantly. Now, Iggy wasn't much of a party-goer... But if Mya was going, then he most surely would, too.
[ hahaha, i love mya. so much. cx

JONATHANMYERSxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Don't hide the broken parts that I need to see"
"Like it or not it's the way it's gotta be
You gotta love yourself if you can ever love me"
"Like it or not it's the way it's gotta be
You gotta love yourself if you can ever love me"
He shouldn’t have instigated anything. Jonathan knew that the moment the pencil left him, but he had lost his temper; it was as simple as that. Starting anything with Cerise was only going to end with further problems, and he was left wondering what kind of can of worms he’d opened. But damnit, it was worth it to hear her hissed expression of pain. Jonathan wasn’t sadistic by any definition of the word, but getting one up on the pretty blonde villain was always something to be celebrated. Ever since the two of them had set foot on the campus, it had seemed like they had it out for each other. She was cruel and cold where he tried to be warm and friendly, and she was a bully where he tried to smooth things over. Though he did his best to lead by example, it was hard when it came to her. Case in point: pencil.
She wasn’t going to just let that go; he knew that. Sure enough, after the teacher spoke with her, he felt a slap on the back of his head. Jonathan’s fists clenched again, his nails digging into his palms now that there was no pencil to mediate the damage. Was she really calling him out for acting childish? She was one to talk, coming in late, making way too much noise, and flinging chips at people. Jonathan bit his lip rather than respond though. He had to be the better person here. The Myers family wasn’t well known because they gave into the taunts of childish villainesses.
If he thought that was the end of it, he was soon to be tragically disappointed. The moment the teacher had his back to the two of them, he leaned into his backpack to find another pen. When he rose again, Cerise was next to him. Oh, ********]. This was not good. On a scale from one to atomic bomb not good, this was probably somewhere around Firefly getting cancelled. Which was pretty high on the list. She had to have something planned, he just didn’t know what. Nor was Jonathan sure that he wanted to know. He didn’t give her the luxury of looking at her, instead, he tried to pay attention to the lecture. She said hello and he was able to ignore that.
However, the reference to Anna, he couldn’t. ”That’s none of your business,” he snapped, though her words got to him. Where was she? Sick, surely. Something like that. But he’d seen her only yesterday and she was the model of health. Cerise continued to speak and he glared at her. She didn’t know something that he didn’t, right? Surely if Anna was hurt, the school would tell him. Cerise was horrible, sure, but she wouldn’t do something too terribly bad, while they were in school at least. Right?
His stomach sank. She would.
”You shut up about her.” Not very heroic words, but she’d touched a nerve. Anna was rather faithful to him, and he liked her. Not as more than friends, but he didn’t appreciate Cerise trying to mock her. ”Like you have any place to talk. You and your brother have that Luke and Leia thing going on. Before The Return of the Jedi.” He smirked. ”It’s downright creepy.” That was a little low, but he was worried about Anna and irritated by Cerise. If he wasn’t in the middle of a class, he would have left long before this point, probably to the gym to let out some of his frustration. But as it was, he couldn’t leave, and he was stuck with the blonde.
Though the two of them were often bitter with each other, to say the least, Jonathan didn’t hate her. He couldn’t. While she was callous and snobby, she was also wickedly intelligent, in her own special way, when she wanted to be, and he couldn’t help but admire that much at least. And she was strong. If nothing else, she was strong. Much as he hated to admit it, Jonathan did have to appreciate that.
But remember the time I told you the way that I felt
That I'd be lost without you and never find myself
Let's hold onto each other above everything else
I'll do whatever it takes
To turn this around
I know what's at stake

- ★ AND TELL YOU ONCE AGAIN, DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU'RE SCARED
At first, Jonathan ignored her. That was a good choice on his part. But it seemed with the comments about Anna, Cerise had gotten to him. She tapped her chin curiously, her eyebrows creasing together thoughtfully. Huh... Had Anna been the one she'd punched in the face this morning? If she was, then it was probably smart of her to not show up to class. Cerise was known for starting fights anywhere and everywhere, for even the smallest reasons. If the girl was here and she was the one she'd hit earlier, then she probably would've received at least five Doritos to the head. Then again, Cerise hadn't the slightest clue who had had the nerve to bump into her earlier. She turned around and softly asked her twin, "Anna est celle que j'ai frappé plus tôt?*" She usually spoke French with Chamoisee when she wanted to keep prying ears out of their conversations. And most of the time, it worked. She wasn't aware of anyone else in the school who spoke the twins' native language, at least. She watched as her twin shrugged his shoulders. Cerise shrugged, too, before turning to face forward again.
And just then, Jonathan told her to shut up. Cerise couldn't help but smile, sliding forward onto the edge of her seat. Now things were getting exciting. He went on to insult she and her brother's relationship, and she lifted her brows in slight surprise. Though she was ashamed to admit it, she did catch his reference. She turned to glance back towards her twin again, who was listening in and now laughing softly. Cerise chuckled, too. Well, she had to admit that from the outside it was reasonable to assume that there was a little bit of incest going on in the Lacroix family. "Sounds like you're jealous," she answered, still smiling at this silly little game they had going. "I never would've guessed the big, bad hero Jonathan Myers would be turned on by twincest, you know." Her words simply dripped with seductive undertones and she shot Jonathan a wink before dropping the act and rolling her eyes. "Oh, please. Even if Chamois and I were doing the dirty, it wouldn't be half as creepy or gross as you and a sidekick." She made no effort at all to hide the hint of malice that was now in her voice.
Cerise leaned over to her bag and grabbed one notebook, opening it up and placing it neatly on the desk before her. Then she reached over and plucked the pen right from Jonathan's fingers. "Thank you very much." She glanced towards her notebook, then the teacher. Then, finally, she looked over towards Jonathan's work. She subtly scooted her chair closer to his, peeking over towards whatever he'd written and copying everything word for word. "Again, thanks." She placed the pen back into his hand and returned her chair to its proper place, letting out a content sigh. She began to absentmindedly doodle within the margins of the page, though of course, her little drawings were on the ugly side. Her forte was being a b***h, not art. "And by the way," she mentioned nonchalantly, "Anna may or may not have received an uppercut from me this morning. I don't really remember just who I punched, but, you know, it might've been her." She glanced over towards Jonathan, wondering what kind of reaction she would get from him. She sort of hoped he would lose his temper, just because it was so amazingly funny when he did so. And because he was cute when he was mad. Not to mention that with any luck, he would throw a big fit right then and there, getting himself into trouble. That was always fun.
"But don't worry," she added, smirking. "I'm sure her face will be back to normal in time for the dance. She's your date, right? I mean, you're about ten times too cute to be going with someone like her," here, she reached over and pinched his cheek for a split second, "but I can't say I'd expect you to be going with anyone else." She rolled her eyes as if it was such a crime for Jonathan to be going with Anna, if he was. Then again, this was all speculation on Cerise's part. There was a chance she hadn't punched Anna this morning, and there was a chance that Jonathan hadn't even asked his sidekick to the dance. But as far as her luck went, it seemed likely that all her speculation so far was correct. She began to drum her fingers against the table, letting out a bored sigh.

Mya knew that Iggy was trying to cheer her up, but she still couldn’t help but feel a little depressed. Just because he approved didn’t mean that her family did. That’s not to say that she didn’t appreciate his efforts – Iggy was one of the few people that she actually cared about, and she was just as protective of him as he was of her. Others tended to think of the henchmen and women as fodder, but Mya would do anything to keep him safe. One of her few fights had been over him actually. Not that she told him that; he didn’t need to know. Still, the fact remained that Mya appreciated him, and she wasn’t going to allow anyone to disrespect him.
She frowned when he mentioned his date was already asked out. He didn’t mean… He couldn’t. Besides, with the dance in just a few days, most of the school had a partner. She shouldn’t flatter herself like that.
”Aw, sorry, Ig. Who was it?” Mya was curious for a name, but at the same time, she didn’t want to know. Even though she knew it was hypocritical of her, because she had a date, she couldn’t imagine him going with someone. Her heart increased in tempo at the thought and she looked away from him, so he wouldn’t see the ugly expression that crossed her face. What was wrong with her. There was no reason for her to feel upset by this. She was being selfish, and she should just support him as well.
Mya didn’t turn around until he was speaking to the hero that had hushed her. Cheeks flushed, she nudged him. ”You’re going to get in trouble!” Not us in trouble. She was worried about him. If the heroic pair decided they didn’t like Iggy’s scolding, well, she’d back him up if she could, but she wasn’t with him twenty four seven. However, the pair behind them seemed to find his threat more amusing than anything else, which also annoyed Mya. He was strong! Too bad his control was about as good as hers was, and that wasn’t saying much. Ugh, she needed to train some. Already there was a light drizzle starting outside the window and she had a feeling it was because of her. It had been sunny when they went into class, but when she had started to think about her family… well, the weather changed. Or was that it? The rain was new, only in the past few minutes? Mya refused to think of the implications of that. It was over her family she was upset, nothing else.
She was sure of it.
”Well, if you go by your lonesome, I’ll be sure to save a few dances for you.” She reached over and squeezed his free hand for a moment. ”I won’t leave you high and dry Iggy.” She drew her hand back, and took a few more notes, thinking of what he’d said about the party. ”Yeah, I think he wants to go. You know how I feel about stuff like that, but I’ll be there.” Truth be told, Mya was not a big party person. It wasn’t that she didn’t like people, but more that people didn’t like her. She wasn’t popular on the villain side, and only tolerated because of her name. It wasn’t hard to tell that most of the other villains held her in disdain, Cerise being one of the few exceptions. There was an interesting friendship, if there ever was one, but Mya was glad for it.
”While we’re on the subject of training-“ They weren’t. Not at all. ”-After this class, I was going to try and do some. I don’t think the rest of the school likes stuff like this-“ Mya motioned to the rain outside. ”-out of the blue. And I know for a fact, some practice wouldn’t hurt you either.” Mya nudged his side and grinned. Outside, the rain let up a little. ”We could head to the gym?”

Iggy felt his lips part slightly as he stared at Mya, completely dumbfounded. Yes, she'd really just asked who it was he'd planned on asking. He sighed, lifting his hand to gently rub his temple. "Uh..." He glanced around the room, but he didn't spot anyone whose name he could throw out as a lie. "You probably don't know her... You know, she's... yeah." He watched as Mya turned away, and before he could stop himself, he continued, "But she's... she's amazing. Really, she's great. She's got these beautiful eyes, and she really doesn't fit the stereotype of girls like her. But that's what makes her so special." He let out an over-exaggerated sigh, glancing down at his hands. "And she doesn't even realize I like her, but I think that just makes me like her more. She's a real piece of work. You know, in the best way possible." He realized what he'd just said and he softly cleared his throat, sitting up straighter in his seat. He made sure to keep his mouth shut before he said anything else, or he'd drone on and on and on about Mya until she realized it was her he was talking about. Honestly, Iggy had about a million words he could use to describe her, and then probably a million more.
The henchman was torn from his thoughts by Mya nudging him, and he perked up and looked over towards her. He felt his breath catch in his throat and for a little while after she spoke, he could just stare at her. Her cheeks were pink with embarrassment, and Iggy, the romantic he was, felt as if his heart could've melted right then and there. It clicked in his head that she'd spoken, and he shook himself out of whatever kind of black magic trance he'd been put under. "Oh! Uh, trouble? Who, me? No, never." He scoffed jokingly and tried to pass off the fact that he'd just stared at Mya for who-knew-how-long, lost in those eyes of hers. The topic soon changed and Mya promised to save him a few dances, which brought a silly, lopsided smile to Iggy's lips. Then she squeezed his hand, and worried that he might have a slight blush on his cheeks, Iggy quickly turned his face away. After spending a little while cursing himself for being such a girl, Iggy regained his composure and turned to face Mya again, just in time to hear her mentioning the party.
"Oh, cool. I'm, y'know... probably gonna be there, too." Then, in a barely audible mumble, he added, "Unless Cerise kicks me out again like last time." The last Lacroix party brought back rather painful memories for Iggy, being physically thrown out of the party because he'd decided to mess around with the bonfire they'd had going. And he'd been thrown out by a girl. Cerise had the power of super strength, but it was embarrassing and insulting to Iggy's manhood all the same. And those painful, painful memories had been captured on video by Chamoisee and put onto the internet for everyone to relive, and relive, and relive. He sighed lightly and shook the party from his thoughts, giving Mya a smile. "Yeah, heading to the gym sounds good. You know the one guy, the villain who also has fire powers? He does this really cool thing where the tip of his finger is like a lighter, like... I dunno, I really want to learn how to do it." He held up his index finger and screwed up his face in concentration, staring directly at the tip. And soon, it caught fire. As did the rest of his arm. In his panic, Iggy immediately threw his arm out to the side (away from both himself and Mya) and shook it violently, sending harmless sparks everywhere and eventually putting the fire out. He silently thanked the school for providing him with fireproof clothes and he turned to check and make sure he hadn't done any damage. He then glanced up towards the teacher, who was giving him a very, very wary look. "Uh... Sorry," he said, smiling sheepishly. After letting out an exasperated sigh, the man returned to his lecture, and Iggy turned to Mya, chuckling. "Uh... Oops. Yeah, I think I'm in dire need of some gym time."
