Oh please, the man had an attitude problem. Maybe he was just angry because she might ruin his chance at moving up in the gang. Evelyn wasn't quite sure, but it would be fun pushing his buttons for the next few days. How long he was going to tolerate it was beyond her, but she hoped it was long enough to keep herself entertained. She only followed behind him as he called for a cab. The taxi driver eyed the two as they stepped in, making the cop only raise an eyebrow.

Surely the driver was used to random thugs and other people coming in and out of their car. So long as they payed she doubted he would care though. Once the address was given all the two had to do was sit back. She took a glance towards David, noting the cigar that was now in his mouth. He called her doll face again, which placed a rather dangerous frown on her face. "Pisano works just fine." Came her blunt reply as she crossed her arms over her chest. She didn't smoke, but it seemed like a good thing to do at the moment.

Finally they made it to his apartment, though she had to admit it was a tad bit ratty. She made a mental note to get herself an apartment on the poorer side of town. At least that way she wouldn't be suspected anymore than she already was. The woman took in the area where his apartment was located. The Chinese restaurant and dry cleaners in the corner along with the ratty alley ways. Certainly not the nicest side of New York. Her own apartment was far from here on the classier side of town.

She only shrugged it off and walked in with him, stepping in and looking around. The place wasn't exactly pretty, but it was good enough. Certainly not a place she would imagine a mobster to stay in, but maybe he just had a different taste. Evelyn frowned, picturing her own apartment with it's nice, always clean furniture that was always new. Her place was far more rich in appearance than this place. But that came from her wonderful income that the government supplied her with.

He asked where she was from back in Italy, and the woman could only think about it for a moment. She pictured the map of Italy, going through all the cities she knew about in her head. "I was born in Siracusa; near Sicily." She informed him, calling out just as he had. The woman was half tempted to look around, but thought better of it. Maybe when she was more accepted than she would, but for now the woman had to play things safe. She crossed her arms over her chest, waiting for David to get his things before they left.

Once he had everything she walked out, heading to the 'back' where his car supposedly was. Without a word she walked down the steps, waiting for him before heading towards his car. To her surprise his car was much nicer than his apartment. Maybe something his boss gave him. She stepped into the passenger seat, leaning back and looking through her purse. "So, where are we going?" She looked towards him, wondering if she needed her gun or not for this occasion.

After closing the safe David moved back out to living room and listened to her response on where she came from. Siracusa huh?” David questioned looking at her and waiting to see if she would give. David knew his Italians, her accent was for sure that of an Italian, slightly Americanised not as much as his own but still… the accent did seem to match her region. “Figured more central with your accent,” David would test the waters to see if she would fold or how she would react to that news. Go with the flow, or defend her point so hard that it was obvious that she had lied. “Gotta couple of cusions from Viterbo who I saw a few years back… they pronounced similar to you,” David said explain some of his own family history, how some family just lived outside of Rome. Either way David let it go as he slide by Lucia and ushered her and himself out the door.

Going back out the way they came in once they were in the ally the headed to the pack to the building where a small parking lot was filled with only a few cars, the nicest one being his. David may have liked the basics he knew some appearance needed to be made out in the public, easiest way of doing that was a nice car. Getting in David waited till Lucia was in and sitting down before he would start the engine, and hand over the envelope he pulled out to the safe over to her. “We are going to go deliver this,” he said leaving it in her hands. “Honestly boring paper work, the basic stuff we supply,” David explained as he grabbed hold of the clutch to the car and stated to drive out onto the streets. Driving down the streets David mainly kept quiet, but still thinking about the woman beside him.

If she was lying about where she grew up, she must have been lying about a few other things but what? And why did Mario force him to work with her. Gah, the man was too much like a big brother sometimes and must have just liked seeing David squirm. Still… for now David might as well have kept asking questions. “So… how old were you when you moved over?” David continued on asking just random light questions still trying to get a feel for the woman, understand her more.

It wasn’t too long till finally they were pulling in front of a very nice restaurant where they popped out of the car, handing keys over to a vela, telling the kid to keep it close and that he wouldn’t be long. “So… the guy’s name is Darryl Gallivan,” David explained as he walked into the place looking over to Lucia. “As I said… won’t be in long, just exchanging the paper work, picking up payment if he’s got it ready,” David shrugged off then giving a charming smile to the hostess that stood by the door.

“Mr. Mancini,” the woman greeted brightly making David just give a soft nod in return. “Mr. Gallivan is just in his usual spot, would you like me to take your jackets?” the woman asked giving still the polite ring to her voice as David politely shook his head. “Alright then come this way…”

If she remembered correctly Italian accents varied, but not a whole lot. The lower area of Italy, near Sicily and where she claimed she was from had more of a Greek accent since their borders were so close. She only shrugged it off, thinking that it really didn't matter. She sounded Italian and that was all she was aiming for. "I get that a lot. Must be from living in America for so long." She informed him, being rather calm about it. No point in arguing for that would only make her look desperate. The woman was playing this as innocently as she could, which meant no mess ups.

The only thing she really hated about being an undercover agent was the constant questions she received. Making up a childhood wasn't exactly an easy thing, and it was a good she was creative. Most cops would have broken down by now, but not the C.I.A. They were best known for always making things up. She was never allowed to use her real name, and all her ties with her family were broken. Evelyn, as far as anyone really knew didn't have any family that she could speak of, but it was always that way for people like her.

It was a lonely job but at least she could make stuff up constantly. Now what age should she have moved to America? It had to be an age where she could still keep up with her thick accent. "I was sixteen when we moved here." Being at the age of twenty-seven that seemed about a proper age to have moved to America. Her eyes flew towards the envelope that was handed to her and she only held it in her hands with care. From the feel of it there was a thick wad of cash in there.

Goodness, how much did they owe to some people? She didn't even want to know. The thought of this just being some kind of errand made her want to groan, but she only looked out the window of David's car. At least she wouldn't have to murder anybody. Now there was one thing she would never want to do. After all, she was a cop. Justice was what she stood for so killing someone was out of the question. It wasn't long till they reached their destination, and the place was rather nice.

The man's name was Darryl Gallivan, most likely another gang member. She got out of the car, smirking slightly as the young boy who was in charge of the keys gawked at her. She only moved a few strands of her long hair out of her eyes before following David along. He spoke with the hostess, and soon they were in. Evelyn decided to turn up the charm, holding the envelope close to her as David directed where they should be going.

The office they were in was rather spacious with plenty of windows. Sitting in a chair in front of them was an elderly man with quite a bit of muscle on him. He looked to be in his fifties, with a scar running across his left eye. He had a cigar in his mouth and he regarded to two for a moment, his eyes moving towards Evelyn. "Ah Mancini my boy! It's been so long." He greeted, getting up and patting the man's back hard. He took the cigar from his mouth and placed it on an ash tray laying on the desk before turning his attention to Evelyn.

He inspected her for a moment, catching sight of the envelope in her hand. "And who is this Bella over here?" He asked, smiling sweetly towards her and kissing the top of her hand. "My name is Lucia Pisano, Mr.Gallivan." She replied with such grace as a charming smile placed it's way on her lips. The man laughed, nodding in approval. "A charming one this girl is! One of Moretti's girls?" He paused for a moment and shook his head, "No, not his type." That always seemed to be what those men said.

She only shrugged it off, and kept up that charming smile, hoping it was playing off well. "In any case, do you have my money boy?" Turning his attention away from the Dame, the older man looked at David seriously. "By now Giovanni should know how I hate men who don't pay me back." Ah, so he was another mafia head. Evelyn only sighed and held out the envelope, tapping the man on the shoulder. "It's all here sir." He took the envelope and counted the money, nodding his approval. "Good good. Mancini, come sit. You as well Miss Pisano. Now then Mancini, how did you find a doll like this? Your girl I'm assuming?" Hearing that almost made her want to kick the old man in the shin, but she sat down as she was told and kept a polite expression on her face.

Walking to the back David walked into the office and smiled at the older man who looked up to see the two enter. “Gallivan, sir!” David greeted as well a cheerful greeting one with a charming character. “I promise, I’ll get around more often when I can,” David excused himself as he stood there while Gallivan looked over Lucia, David didn’t bother… most men had that reaction looking at Lucia. His question came out of his mouth about Lucia, but David looked up at him with a raised eyebrow before he came to the conclusion making David nod. No, she was definitely not Moretti’s girls. “You have no clue how far she is being from his type,” David half muttered to himself allowed, loud enough for the others to just head making Gallivan chuckle.

“Of course I’m got your money, have I ever let you down before?” David answered point over to the envelope that Lucia held, where she ever so sweetly and politely gave it over to Gallivan. It was amazing how sweet she could be when she wanted to be, or how good of an actor she was. As Gallivan counted out the money David politely moved the one chair for Lucia and then took a seat in the other chair as Gallivan counted his money starting up conversation about Lucia making David drop his head slightly giving Gallivan a look that was a ‘seriously’ look that thankfully the mob boss couldn’t see due to the green in front of him. “Oh she’s not my girl, Gallivan… to wild for me,” David said putting it the most polite way possible, rather than saying she was just a pain in the a**.

Gallivan stopped and looked up at David and Lucia and then started to laugh, taking a break from his money proved that he actually did think it was funny. “Too wild? Now Mancini… that don’t happen often,” Gallivan said before going back to counting the money and then slowly came to a stop. Splitting the money into two piles he recounted the first pile and then recounted the second one. Sitting back in his seat Gallivan sighed looking over at David and shook his head. “Now… David, I like you… I really do,” Gallivan said making David smile as he leaned further back in his seat. “And you like me… but, this is a little more than just interest sittin’ here… you know I can’t say no to the green,” Gallivan sighed still shaking his head. “Who wants what now?” Gallivan asked moving the money from on top of the desk into the envelope and then back into the desk drawer.

“Well… Moretti may want a little something,” David started off with that handsome smile, “He needs some more glass cleaner from across the northern border” David explained making Gallivan smile and shake his head. “Now… I know that’s not enough right there, I told Mario that you wouldn’t go for that much but he don’t listen to me half the time,” David pressed further. “I give you my word that you’ll get the rest… plus interest once it’s delivered, you know Moretti… when it comes to crossing that border he don’t like giving all the money out till the delivery,” David further on pushed trying to be a sales man with reassurance. “Come on Darryl… you know I’m good for my word… even treat you to drinks sometime this week.”

The last thing she wanted was to be known as that man's girl, but what was worse was that he called her wild. She shot him a nasty glare, which made Gallivan laugh. "This one reminds me of my own wife." He replied, shaking his head. Ah, so girls like him don't come around often? Hm, she wondered why. The girl only leaned back, just about ready to kick David hard if she had to. The girl only sighed and watched as the old man counted up his money, stacking them up into different piles before he started off asking David questions.

She was silent the whole time, analyzing the way both men talked and acted. Both diplomatic and rather business like. Evelyn listened intently, noting that Moretti wanted something that no doubt was either ammunition or drugs. It was drugs of course. The kind of stuff you only got out of the border. Considering the eighteenth amendment was still in place she doubted this was going to go well. The cops had been trying to catch these alcohol smugglers for years, but never did find out the right place to head to.

Thus she got what she wanted by listening, but she needed much more evidence before actually going against these guys. She also needed to know about their hide outs and delivery points. Ah, so much to do with so little time. David attempted to sweet talk the old man into agreeing, and Gallivan could only watch the young man warily. Though the two were close he was still one of Giovanni's men, which made him a dangerous youth. Ah, but weren't all men dangerous now a days?

His eyes looked back towards the young dame who seemed to be listening intently to their conversation, but she gave no input into it. "What do you think Pisano?" He asked her, smiling charmingly. She only looked at him blankly for a moment, wondering why he was bringing her into this. Evelyn opened her mouth before her eyes fell on a picture on the man's desk. There was his wife and who she assumed was his daughter. No wonder he was asking for her opinion. He had a daughter of his own. "I think you should agree. It would be very much worth your while." She informed him.

The man cupped his chin, thinking it over for a moment. "Fine but if I don't get the rest of what Moretti owes me you'll be paying for it." He grumbled, shaking his head before standing up and getting another cigar. He lighted it, smiling and shaking hands with David. "Now go on and get outta here." His tone was teasing, kind almost as he patted the man's back. Evelyn could only watch this exchange, wondering how in the world they could be so hostile one second and good friends the next. She would never understand mob members.

The girl froze slightly when the old man looked towards her. She stood off to the side, practically looking innocent as she awaited the door to open. "You take care of this doll Mancini. Dame's like her don't come around often, so I suggest you claim her before some other wise guy does." He whispered to the young man before opening the door and motioning for Evelyn to go ahead. She only smiled, shaking the man's hand. "It was a pleasure to meet you Mr.Gallivan."

The old man only nodded, patting her back and ruffling her hair. "You two come back now, you here?" He only laughed and closed the door as the two exited. The cop sighed and ran her fingers through her hair, attempting to fix it now that it was a mess. She only shrugged after a few seconds of fixing it. No point in trying since it most likely wasn't going to do her any good. "Well that was...Interesting." She noted, looking up at David with a small grin.

David sat there patiently waiting for Gallivan to say something but he sat there in deep thought about the idea. Gallivan did have a bit to lose if he had said yes, and never actually got the money, but that was the chances that everyone in the business took. Finally the question got turned to Lucia and asked the question of what did she think. David actually was interested in this as he turned his body ever so slightly so it was angled towards her, watching her and seeing how she would answer. It took a moment before finally Lucia answered a simple answer… one that apparently was the correct one. David could only smile at Gallivan as he agreed but added the threat that David would be paying which of course… David knew he was dead serious about the topic. “Of course… wouldn’t have it any other way,” David chimed in as the two of them stood and shook on it.

Gallivan would do his fatherly duties of giving David another pat on the back, and show them to the door, Gallivan stopping David and giving him unwanted and in his opinion unneeded advice. David looked over and gave a smile either way, “Appreciate the words of wisdom sir… and I’m serious about the drink this week… I’ll be in touch,” David added as politely as he could manage before Gallivan turned his attention to Lucia and leaving them be. Walking out David readjusted his hat and straightens his jacket as they walked towards the exit Lucia mentioning it was interesting. David looked over at her and shrugged, “I guess… it was business,” David stated matter of factly like it was nothing new.

Walking out the door David said his goodbye to the woman who greeted them as they came in and then called up on the vale who had David’s car set off to the side ready to go. Getting the keys David threw them in the air and caught them, smiling and tipping the kid for being a ‘good sport’ and then jumping in. “So… where do you want to eat?” David asked looking over at Lucia, “Got any good place’s here in the city you wanna go to for lunch?

David would wait for her answer before actually starting to drive but wouldn’t argue her choice, food was after all food in David’s opinion and he was game for anything. “Figured it might give you a chance to ask some questions if you had any,” David explained his reasoning, and maybe he could ask her for some questions to be polite… plus figure out her true idea of revenge. “Like… what you do before approaching us?” David asked starting things off to what could be considered around of twenty questions.

Evelyn only smiled towards the woman who let them in and watched as David got his keys back, giving the boy a tip while he was at it. Once they were in his car she could only look out the window again. There were so many things she could tell her boss after just one day of staying there. So they were trading in the drugs area. She supposed that wasn't surprising at all. There was also the point of finding off the drop off points, and how much money they really put into the drug business. She only frowned at the thought, thinking they probably made quite a bit of money with the illegal business.

Her thoughts were interrupted when David asked where she wanted to go for lunch. She only shrugged, recognizing this part of town. Just a few blocks down and they would be at her apartment. Well, wasn't that just lovely? Who knew she lived so close to a mobster, not that anyone really needed to know that. "There should be a cafe off River Road. We can go there for lunch if you want." She suggested, not really sure what he was in the mood for. In all honesty she just wanted to go home, away from all the annoying mobsters.

The girl really didn't have time to think of anything for soon he was questioning her again. She looked towards him for a moment, wondering what exactly he was trying to prove by questioning her. Maybe he was already suspecting her? She knew he was going to be a problem, but goodness he didn't know he was going to be this bad! Why the hell did he need to know her personal life to begin with? Ah, but she couldn't just stay quiet or get mad about it. That would only make her look like a liar.

Sighing she only frowned, looking as though she didn't like the thought of her last job. In truth she just didn't know what to say. "I was a waitress down at Triomphe. I got pretty good tips at that place, but one can only be a waiter for so long." She looked towards him for a moment, figuring it was her turn to ask the questions. "How long have you worked for Moretti?" It was an innocent question and one that could be easily answered if he wasn't about to be defensive about it.

Before she could receive an answer though he turned into River Road and there was the small cafe in the corner. The place was a bit full, but it was always that way during lunch hours. Evelyn got out of the car and headed inside, opening the door so that David could come in as well. She took a seat near the windows, smiling as the waiter came over and asked what they wanted to drink. She told him kindly and the man walked away, glancing back at the two every now and then, but she didn't take any notice.

A waitress… a waitress who could shoot a gun? David looked over at her brefily shaking his head, “Alright then,” was all he could really say. It was a lie, it had to have been a lie, what café in the world did you need to know how to shoot a gun in order to become a waitress? Still David wouldn’t poke much further than that… that would most likely just get her pissed… he didn’t want that yet. Turning into the dinner David figured he had been their twice… maybe, but still if it was busy that meant the food was good. David ignored the question for the time till they got into the café and took a seat by the window which was rather nice, just to be able to sit there… relax, company could have been better but she’d do.

When the waiter came over David ordered himself coffee seeing that the place wouldn’t most likely sell alcohol. Pulling off his hat, David swung it up so it landed on the near hat rack as if he was a kid before picking up the menu and folding his legs as he sat back trying to decide what to eat. “Depends how you define working,” David said going back to the question she asked. “Pap’s worked for the family before I was born… always been around it,” David explained giving a shrug. “Moretti started to pay me when I was… fourteen, so… about fifteen years now,” David said doing his mental math and then smirked to himself. “Really should ask the boss for a raise… working that long, gesh.”

Picking out the idea of a hot roast beef sandwich with potatoes smothered in gravy made David’s mouth water slightly, god it was going to be a good lunch. Folding the menu David just continued to sit there and relax taking a few minutes to scan the room… something he did every room he walked into, habit he supposed. David couldn’t help but notice their waiter watch the two of them but as soon as David looked him in the eyes, the kid started to focus on other things more instead. “We gotta pick up to do after this,” David brought up for conversation. “You know doll face… if you wanted an easier way of living there are pleanty of different ways than this,” David explained shrugging. “I mean… go fetch yourself a rich man, pay someone for revenge, hell pay me and I’ll find someone to do it for you and we don’t have to play with each other anymore… everyone’s happy.”

She simply went with ordering water since she wasn't in the mood for coffee. Looking at the menu she wondered what would be best for lunch. Nothing heavy that was for sure. Maybe a sandwich would do, or even just soup since she wasn't all that hungry. The girl only turned her attention away from the menu to look at the man sitting in front of her. So, his father was in the business for quite sometime. Well, she supposed that would make sense. Most of the people who were in the mafia had some sort of family relation or their parents had been in the business before they were in it.

Hearing that he worked for Moretti at age fourteen was surprising though. She most certainly wasn't expecting that in the least bit. Evelyn thought about it for a moment, wondering what it was like to start in the business at such a young age. Well, if their parents were in it all their lives it probably wasn't traumatizing or anything like that. Her father was a police officer so that was why she got into law enforcement herself. Her father died in action and her mother, well, she didn't know what happened to her mother.

After finding out about her father's death she became a member of the C.I.A. That meant throwing away her old life and not having one ever again. She belonged to the government. They were her family in a sense whether she was willing to admit to that or not. She only shrugged when he said they had to do a pick up after this. Great, that would mean less work on her part. He was making her job unnaturally easy. She was able to find one drop off post and meet one of the suppliers? This day couldn't get any better!

Her happy mood faded when he brought up the fact that she could find a better place to work. He was just trying to get rid of her. Evelyn glared towards him, a frown gracing her lips. "I'm staying around whether you like it or not." She replied, her gaze hardening slightly. This guy was just pushing her buttons, calling her doll face again. She only sighed, leaning back in the chair and crossing her arms over her chest. "Plus if I want revenge I'm going to settle it myself, not let some one else do it for me." This guy couldn't get anymore irritating.

The waiter came back, ready to take their orders. He was about to write down what Evelyn ordered, but cleared his throat. The girl raised an eyebrow, wondering what he was going to ask. "Um...Just wondering, but how long have you two been dating?" He sounded so innocent, but his words only made Evelyn look away. She shook her head quickly, half tempted to kick David just because she could. "We aren't dating kid." The boy's face brightened in embarrassment. "Oh! Uh..I am so sorry!" He only looked down at his notepad, not saying another word.

David figured it was a bad idea saying what he was saying after he said it. Lucia turned and gave her the hardest stair that he had ever seen on a woman in a long time, claiming she was there to stay as David rolled his yes. Once again the woman proved her stubbornness saying she was the one who was going to the revenge. David stared down Lucia in the same hard manner just annoyed with the woman, “You’re stubborn a** better not get mine killed,” he said simply knowing that trait could cause a lot of problems. “As soon as you walked into the club yesterday I knew you were trouble,” David continued on grinding his back molars as he sat there, “All you damn women are trouble,” he finished off picking up the knife that was on the table and started to simply flip it in his hand to keep his hands busy.

It only added insult to injury the waiter came over to take their order where he looked slightly nervous but asked anyway, how long the two been dating. David stopped tossing the knife to look at the kid, “What?” was all he muttered out before Lucia came back snapping that they weren’t dating. “Far from it kid… don’t be stickin’ your nose were it don’t belong,” David added sounded colder then he meant to but it was hard not to. It was first Gallivan giving David love advice, now this kid? Bah! This was not his day far from his day. The kid appoligized and looked down at the pad as he took their orders, making David going back to tossing the butter knife like he had been doing before.

“You know Mario got one thing right about you, you’d make one hell of a secret weapon,” David continued on his small rant to riled up now. “Send you in and you’d annoy all the men to death before you’d ever have to draw your equipment,” David explained thinking back to that morning. Mario most likely didn’t even consider that when choosing to accept her, most likely was too busy looking at the woman’s a**… damn Mario.

In all her years as working undercover she had never had to deal with someone who had this big of a mouth. This guy was pushing her buttons to the point where she was ready to shoot him right in the face. He claimed her to be trouble!? Look at him! He wasn't exactly someone who she would call the perfect man. Evelyn slammed her hands on the table, her look colder than ice. If looks could kill this man would have fallen to the floor, dead in less than a millisecond.

To make matters worse the poor waiter was left to cower as the two were yelling at each other and at him. As he walked off, David opened his mouth again, making her bite her lower lip. That was it. She couldn't take this anymore. "You think you're so damn great just because you're kissing Moretti's a**! I bet you couldn't even beat me in a fair fight without any weapons." She hissed out. Sure, his shooting skills were great. Better than her own, but she grew up with an older brother.

She learned from a young age how to defend herself, and this man had nothing on her as far as she was concerned. "If I was so much freaking trouble than maybe you should have just turned me down wise guy!" She stood up, ready to leave. She didn't need this kind of crap. Hell, she didn't care if this meant blowing off her mission. There was always someone else who could replace her. She sure as heck wasn't going to deal with this a** any longer. "Go back to kissing Moretti's a** you d**k."

With that she stormed out, whistling to the nearest taxi. Of course no one stopped for her. She only grumbled with annoyance and took to walking home, kicking his car rather hard for good measure as she walked past it. The woman headed down the street to cool off some steam, not sure where she was going. The streets looked familiar and that was all that mattered as far as she was concerned. So long as she was away from that butt face than she was perfectly content.

David sat there as his back molars continued to grind back and forth, oh no… she was really going there? Really… she figured she could beat him in a fight. God the woman had no brains to boot! Then she went on saying that he was the one who asked for this, he was the one who accepted her… oh no, he was the one who said no to her! “You don’t know s**t about how things work, got it? I was the one who turned you down doll face, ain’t my fault Mario has a thing for woman with a nice a**,” David defended his point. Oh no… he was not going to be pinned for allowing the dame into the family… no way in hell was that going to happen. Still the woman was up out of her seat and for a spit second David was going to grab her by the wrist to pull her back down but no… not after that comment, screw her… he didn’t have to help her in anyway. “Screw you,” David shot out looking at her, as she then turned and walked out the door he continued to sit there watching her try and fail at getting a cab where then she suddenly went to take a kick at his car.

“Hey! Don’t you dare touch that!” David shouted so loudly that it was sure to be heard outside the window. David sprung up from his seat and grabbed his hat before running out side, leaving the poor waiter with the bill and no cash. Running outside he looked at the car frowning at the small scratch that was there in the black paint. “God damn it!” David yelled looking at it then down the street watching the woman continue to walk down it at a fast pace. God damn it the woman knew how to push his buttons, a** kisser, his a**! How dare she accuse him of that, David Mancini was no a** kisser. Slamming his hat on his head he then went and jumped in the car leaving in the opposite direction of where the dame was headed making a loud sound with the car as he went.

His driving was fast and rather dangerous but it allowed David to calm himself, to distress over what the woman said. Damn that woman… trouble that’s all the hell she was, she was just trouble. David continued to drive till his nerves were back to normal and he could think straight till he made he was to the one end of town stopping by his own personal favourite place to eat where the waitress knew him and gave him company he enjoyed. Chitchatting and enjoying the time David stayed there for a few hours before he headed out for his pickup that he was now doing by himself, all it was, was money making it rather easy, and even the transaction smooth. Jobs done for the day, David was good and made his way to Jimmy’s early to meet up with Mario. It didn’t take long till he sat up by the bar and ordered himself a drink, another way to calm his nerves as his mind thought about Lucia… wondering how much s**t he’d get in for that. Yet… he still would have the privilege of telling Mario off to accepting the idea of allowing her to join.

She heard him yelling at her not to touch the car but she didn't care. Turning to look at him checking out his car she made sure to flip him off, knowing full well he would be able to see it. If there was one thing he should never do it was to mess with an undercover cop. She would make his life a living hell if he thought he would get away with it all. Evelyn only growled, muttering something about how she wanted to kill the man. People walked past her, not really noting her anger. She only sighed, going to her apartment. What better way to cool off steam than to speak with her boss?

She picked up the phone as she got inside and called her boss. "Meet me at the park in ten minutes, no excuses." She informed him with a low growl. He only sighed, saying okay before hanging up. She grabbed her things, making sure to look at least somewhat decent before heading out. It took her five minutes at the most to walk over there. When she reached the park the woman waited there, looking around as she attempted to spot Allen.

It wasn't long till a middle aged man with wearing a long trench coat and a hat came over to her. He grinned at the sight of the impatient woman. The two sat at a park bench and she could only sigh, looking up at the sky. "So, what's up? You look rather angry, did you get caught?" His tone was now rather serious at the thought of her getting caught. She was one of their best after all. The woman shook her head, sighing softly at the thought of actually getting caught. She might as well have been with that yelling back at the diner.

"No, I didn't thankfully. I have plenty to tell you that's for sure. Firstly I found out one of their providers and I was about to find out a drop off point." The word about caught the man's attention. He only raised an eyebrow, making her sigh and roll her eyes. "They put me with this man. I was accepted into their ranks yes, but someone had to watch after me. The man that watched after me kept looking down on me and making rude comments, so I told him off." Obviously not something he wanted to know, for Allen glared at her.

He stood up, shaking his head. "You fool! You could have jeopardized the whole mission! What in the world were you thinking!?" She only looked away, making the man sigh. "Now what are we going to do Evelyn? What do you plan to do about this situation?" Silence. What did she plan to do? Nothing of course. There was nothing she could do. She stood up and glared at him, tired of him and men in general. "Oh please it isn't that bad! No need to get your panties in a twist, I'll figure out a way to solve this." There was no point in arguing with her. "You better. Everything is on your shoulders, just remember that." She only nodded, shoving her hands in her pocket.

David continued to stay seated on that stool, picking away at peanuts and sipping away on his drink, trying to figure out what to actually really do about Lucia. It wasn’t long after seven when Mario came strolling into the bar smiled and waved to David where David gave a small wave back before turning his attention back at the peanuts. Mario came up and took the seat beside David and ordered up his own drink before studying David and his shelling abilities. “Wow… you look like s**t,” Mario finally said as his drink arrived. “What the hell did she do today? Did her shooting abilities scare you or something?” Mario teased before taking a drink while David shot him a glare that could cause damage. Mario slowly put down the glass and then sat back a little and nodded. “Okay then… what the hell is wrong?” Mario asked causally.

“That damn woman is the hugest pain in the a** if there ever was one, take her out to lunch after meeting with Gallivan, which was fine, she smiled acted sweet what every. Gallivan said yes to our cleaner and then at lunch… god that woman,” David went on ranting shaking his head and the taking a drink to calm his nerves ever so slightly. “Got into this screaming match ‘cuse I asked her a few questions, she was up to no good Mario, you shouldn’t have said yes,” David exclaimed to Mario shaking his head and then going for the peanuts again, started to crack the shells. “Not to mention I should be kicking your a** for not taking my word this morning, I blame this all on you, that’s it,” David went back saying looking over at Mario and even point at him.

Mario actually laughed and shook his head, thinking David was slightly losing it for a moment. “God David, I gave her too you so can be proved responsibility, it’s to help you get promoted you idiot!” Mario explained his crazy master plan getting a bored look from David, making Mario laugh harder and slap David on his back. “The boss knows your good, has good instincts, and too be honest he likes the idea of a woman who can shoot a gun… as well as you do,” Mario continued on making David raise his hand stopping Mario in his tracks.

“I’m the better shot, I shoot better than anyone else ever will, she is NOT as good as me,” David clarified getting annoyed that the boss figured that she was as good as him. She was good, but not as good as him.

Mario raised his hand in defense clearly seeing his struck a nerve, “Alright still… you prove her to be a good choice… and your golden with the boss, you can be working right beside him. Move out of that good forsaken hole in the wall… get a house or something,” Mario pushed further on. “So… where is she?”

“For your information,” David said after taking a drink, “If I wanted a nicer place… I could get a nicer place, the reason I don’t have a nicer place is because I like my place now,” David said clearing this up that he felt needed to be cleared. “And I honestly don’t care where she is, and I honestly don’t care about a promotion because I’m not an a** kisser,” David said grinding the back molars of his teeth as that’s what Lucia had called him that afternoon.

Mario laughed again like it was some kind a joke, “Who said you were an a** kisser,” Mario dared asked getting the second death look of the night being shot at him from David making the laughter stop. “Ohh… well… come on, we know that’s not true, only a** kissing you ever did was to your father, and he was a crazy son of a b***h,” Mario said still getting the death stare, “Not to speak ill of the dead, your father was a good man.” David groaned and went back to shelling his peanuts before popping a few in his mouth. “Well… what if you did it for me?” Mario continued on, “I said you’re the best and can do anything, so to prove I’m not wrong… maybe you could do it for me?” Mario put a news spin on it making David’s head sink, hating the idea of personal favours, David could never say no to Mario. “Please… your brother, for the family,” Mario making David groan sitting back up and taking a drink finishing his glass.

David could never say no to the family, you joined the family to live and die for the family, and trying to work with the woman would most likely kill him in the end. “If… if the woman comes around, and IF I can find her… I’ll give her another chance,” David clamed pushing the empty glass away from him. “And it’s for you… and it’s a lot of If’s” David added but still getting a grin from Mario.

Her talk with Allen wasn't exactly the best talk in the world. Now that she thought about it she was in a butt load of trouble. Not because she had taken matters into her own hand, but she had been snappy with her boss. Thinking about it made Evelyn want to slap her forehead. Instead she only grumbled and walked away from the park. Allen had stormed off, though where he had run off to was a surprise even to her. There really was no point in her worrying about it, but she was starting to think this mission was going down the drain.

Of course she couldn't let that happen, but there really wasn't much she could do at the moment. No doubt they wouldn't allow her back. Should they than she would have to be nice, even if that meant putting up with that a** David. She frowned thinking about it. She didn't want to be one of their whores but it looked as though she might have to in order to suck up to them. Allen told her to get her act together, but how was she too do that when she was stuck with a bunch of thick brained idiots?

It was beyond her! The girl only sighed and stuffed her hands in her pockets, continuing on the beaten path of the park. Maybe going to a bar or something would do her some good. Get a few drinks, smoke a little. It sounded better and better now that she thought about it. The girl only shrugged, stopping slightly when someone bumped into her. The girl looked up, a glare in her eyes but that glare faded when she noticed it was a person who was dressed rather nicely. In fact he was dressed as nicely as any mobster she would see down the street.

She only looked at them warily, noting that the man who she had bumped into looked rather angry. The thugs behind him looked just as unhappy which made her back up a bit. The last thing she needed was to cause trouble, but hell she could defend herself. Only problem was that four against one didn't have the best of odds. Evelyn only shrugged it off and raised an eyebrow as the man glared at her. "Watch where you're going doll face." There was that stupid term again. This man had a heavy Italian accent, and he looked nothing like one of Giovanni's guys.

Thus she figured taking out her anger on him seemed suitable. "Don't call me doll face, trash." She hissed, making the man frown deeply. He reached out and grabbed a hold of her wrist, pulling her closer to him. No one was around, that meant she was on her own, but she didn't care. "Look at her guys? Beautiful and spunky. What you say we teach her a lesson?" The boys laughed and the man leaned down to kiss her, thus she kicked him hard where no man would wish to be kicked.

The man let out a groan and let her go, falling to his knees as she backed up. His friends took it as their cue to attack, and thus they charged at her. They didn't have guns thankfully, but they had knives and that was enough for her. It was times like this when she wished she had brought her gun, but hand to hand was better for her. She dodged the knife slashes, bobbing and weaving with quite a good amount of agility and grace. It was like dancing for her, thus she was able to dodge most of their attacks, frowning as she back up only to have her arm cut. The woman only ignored it and bounced on her feet, holding her hands up like a martial artist would.
