Lucy stood aside and let Alice take the lead for the rest of the night. She was done showing her around, and now it was time for Alice to take charge. After all, it was her apartment, so Lucy really had no room to do much but follow. The meister had only been to Alice's apartment once, and it was earlier in the morning. However, she did find it odd that Alice actually had mail that didn't have to do with her bills, or so she thought. For all she knew, it could've actually been about the apartment's bills. She couldn't do much about it though, so all she did was follow Alice into her apartment. Upon entering, Lucy couldn't help but remember what she promised herself that morning. A sly grin pulled at her cheeks and she looked over at Alice. "Got enough music sheets?" she asked, practically chuckling on her words. The meister couldn't help but laugh and tease her partner about the sea of music sheets they were stepping over. "It's like another layer of carpet in here," she said teasingly as she hopped over a pile of them before jumping onto the couch. Lucy made herself comfortable, leaning back against the couch and putting her feet up on the edge of the coffee table in front of her. She simply watched as Alice gratefully tossed one of the crutches to relieve at least one of her armpits. The meister's eyes followed her girlfriend as she hobbled around the apartment, eventually ending up on the couch next to her. Lucy went ahead and moved closer to Alice, bringing her arm up and wrapping it around her shoulders, letting her hand hang freely over Alice's shoulder.

Lucy turned her head and looked at the piece of folded paper in Alice's hands. She didn't read it at all, she didn't feel comfortable invading her privacy like that. She idly looked at the paper, almost not paying attention. In fact, Lucy had spaced out. She was in her own world until she was suddenly brought back to reality. The meister felt her hand squeeze and immediately snapped her head to look at Alice in shock. It wasn't until a couple of silent moments after Alice spoke that Lucy realized what she had head. A wide smile spread across Lucy's face and she couldn't help but squeeze Alice in her arms. "No ******** way!" she exclaimed excitedly. Lucy let go of Alice and shot up from the couch. "This is so great! Money is going to be way easier and I'll be able to make fun of you all the time now, this is perfect!" she said as she smiled wide at her. But then a thought struck her and Lucy's mood was brought down a couple notches. "We kinda have classes tomorrow though, so we can't start moving in until after school," she said as she rubbed the back of her head, her smile reducing slightly. She turned and sat back down on the couch next to Alice and leaned over to her. She nuzzled her girlfriend's neck affectionately and kissed her jawline lightly. "Plus I get to have you all to myself too," she said rather seductively. Lucy still wasn't over her raging hormones she had let taken over her back at the fountain.

Lucy pulled her face away from Alice's neck and gave the girl a kiss on the cheek, changing her demeanor from seductive to sweet. "If you want to move in tomorrow, pack as much as you can tonight. I've been too lazy to unpack most of my stuff so I'm already like...70% packed already," she said, laughing slightly at herself. Lucy knew just as much as Alice that the two both wanted to move in together as soon as possible. The suggestion came up when they were simply friends, and they were both excited about the idea; but, now that they were dating, the idea turned reality was exciting by tenfold. The meister stayed at Alice's apartment for an hour or so longer before she decided it was time to go back to her own apartment. The two had spent time either talking or relaxing on the couch, simply enjoying each other's company. Once 10 o'clock had rolled around, Lucy got up from the couch and stretched from being a couch potato all night. "Welp, I'm gonna head home to my separate apartment for the last time," she said with a smile on her face, still giddy from the apartment approval, "but I will see you in the morning my dear." The meister gathered her things, putting on her leather coat and slipping her shoes back on. She turned to face Alice and leaned down as she sat on the couch. The dark haired girl put her hands on the blue haired girl's cheeks and pulled her closer for a single, solid kiss. She gave her partner a smile before she made her way to the door. Before leaving, Lucy said her final goodbye before she closed the door behind her.

The meister made her way back home by her favorite method, parkour. She flipped and ran and swung from god knows what to get back to her apartment. The next morning came and Lucy emerged from her apartment to greet the morning sun. It was a school day, but more importantly it was moving day. Unfortunately, Lucy couldn't move into the new apartment until she was finished with classes for the day. Defeated, Lucy began her jog to Alice's apartment. She knocked on the door and awaited on the doorstep. It was only natural that Lucy walked her injured girlfriend to school.

xxLucy's excitement was reassuring, especially after the delay between her words and her partner's response. Of course, the realization that they would not be able to move in until after classes the following day was sobering for them both. The excitement was still there, thought slightly dulled. However, the Meister did a particularly good job of distracting Alice with ease. The Weapon was no more over her raging teenager hormones than her partner. The sensation of Lucy's face against her neck, the kisses to her jawline, the warm breath on her skin, and Lucy's words were all more than enough to distract Alice from just about anything other than her girlfriend. She felt herself shiver, completely focused on Lucy and the promise of her words. She was more than happy to follow that train of thought and find out where they would end up. Much to her chagrin, however, Lucy suddenly pulled away with some sweet words and a kiss to the cheek. For the time being, she was more disappointed by that than the fact they couldn't move into their new apartment until tomorrow afternoon. The Weapon did her best not to pout, though knew it was probably a futile effort.

"You say that as if you don't already have me all to yourself..." She pouted and teased in tandem. Not that she wasn't happy to spend her time sitting and talking with Lucy. Which she did for another hour, shifting to lean on her partner and doing her best to ignore the persistent teenage hormones which felt a great deal like trying to ignore the humming of a hive of angry wasps. Not that Alice Wakefield was going to act like a horny teenager; she'd been raised better than that. No, she would continue to be as much of a proper lady as she could... which wasn't a whole lot, but she still had manners. It felt like their time together evaporated too quickly. Before long Lucy had to go and the Weapon wanted moer than anything to ask if she wanted to stay, but knew that she probably had things to take care of in her own apartment. And so, Alice forced herself to behave and managed to not pout about it. While Lucy gathered her things, Alice began the work of getting to her feet. Her crutch was a few feet away from the couch and she would have to carefully limp to retrieve it without hurting her leg. She was less concerned about doing any further damage than she was worried about the pain that bearing weight on her leg would yield. Before she could get up, however, the Meister had gathered her things and approached her. She couldn't stop the smile as she felt warm hands on her cheeks and she closed her eyes in anticipation, eagerly returning the kiss. She wanted so badly to grab the front of her partner's jacket and pull her down, to run her hands through that long black hair that she thought looked so gorgeous. She knew she would be more than happy to spend her night doing nothing but kissing Lucy.

And then it was over and she did her best not to chase her lips, instead smiling up at her partner before getting up and carefully retrieving her nearest crutch. She bid her partner goodnight and followed her to the door, locking it once Lucy had gone. She stood at the door for a few minutes even after Lucy had gone before finally heaving a massive sigh and turning to go back into her apartment. Alice moved to the bathroom and showered, cursing herself as she slipped and landed hard the floor of her shower. Fortunately she did not land on her injured leg, though she knew she would have a tremendous bruise from it. Once clean and dressed in her pajamas and medicated, the Weapon hobbled around her apartment doing her best to pack up her belongings. In reality, she didn't really have very much. She had her bed, essentials for living, a few sparse pieces of furniture... but most of her belongings were comprised of a vast library of sheet music. It took her several hours to gather up the music and place it into two large crates which she placed next to her saxophone. It was almost dawn by the time Alice had finished and collapsed on her bed. She slept until about an hour later she heard a knock on her apartment door. Ugh... time for school already.

She managed to shout something that could sound like "coming," as she hauled herself out of bed and nearly tripped over her crutch. Her eyes still closed, Alice moved through the apartment and opened the door, squinting out into the light to see her partner. She suddenly realized that she wasn't even dressed. She hadn't even started getting ready for school. She had simply collapsed and probably would have slept through classes if Lucy hadn't shown up. She could feel the colossal bags beneath her eyes and she had no doubt she looked as tired as she felt. "Sorry... You'll probably be late because of me, now. I was up all night packing." She let her partner inside and closed the door behind her, shuffling back inside her apartment. On the way back to her bedroom she tripped over the stray crutch she had angrily tossed aside last night. As she picked herself up off the floor the Weapon could be heard furiously grumbling to herself in Russian. First thing she did was shuffle into the bathroom and take her pain medicine before going to get dressed. She left the door to her bedroom open, oblivious as she changed out of her pajamas and into her clothes. She sacrificed her usual morning routine for the sake of punctuality and once dressed she brushed her hair and put it up before heading out for school.

Ms. Tengku stood on the doorstep of Ms. Wakefield's apartment, having just knocked and now waiting for her to emerge so that they could make their way to school. To her surprise, Alice answered the door and appeared as tired as a school teacher who stayed up all night to grade essays. Lucy looked down at Alice with a slightly open mouth and slightly wide eyes. She then burst into laughter as she doubled over and held her stomach from laughing so hard. "Man, talk about a great morning," she said as she calmed down from her outburst. She reached out and pushed some of Alice's hair from her face and said, "Go get ready then you dumbass." Lucy followed Alice inside and plopped herself on the couch, propping her feet up on the coffee table and melting into the comfort of the cushions. A loud thud instantly drew Lucy back to reality as her partner fell to the floor. The meister instinctively jumped up and looked toward the source of the noise. Seeing her partner on the floor and grumbling to herself in what she picked up to be Russian, Lucy couldn't help but laugh. Despite the humor, she still asked if the girl was okay though she already knew the answer to that question. "C'mon now, let's not hurt your other leg too," she said as she turned back around to go back to the couch. The worry of her falling again was too much for Lucy to ignore, making her watch her girlfriend as she shuffled into the bedroom. She watched her in case she fell again but found that watching her probably wasn't the best thing. The sleepy weapon was so tired that she had forgotten to close the door to her bedroom as she stripped her clothes. Lucy could do nothing but stand and stare as her girlfriend obliviously stripped in front of her. The meister's face turned red hot as her hormones started to take over her. It wasn't until a couple of seconds of staring that Lucy realized what she was doing and literally shook her head to snap herself out of it. Lucy jumped back onto the couch and patiently waited for Alice to finish getting ready, the blush still on her face as plain as day.

Once Alice was done getting ready, Lucy controlled herself and stood up as she attempted to get rid of the red tint on her face. The meister led the way to the door, opening it for her still tired partner before closing it behind her once they were both outside. Normally, Lucy would run to school, but since Alice was in no condition to even walk on her own legs she took to the gesture of walking with her to school while she was still in recovery. Since Alice was required to rely on both crutches, Lucy settled for walking next to her. As they walked, the meister leaned over and gave Alice a small kiss on the side of her head. "Good morning sleepy," she teased as she kept walking. "You know you didn't have to pack all night, we have all afternoon to move. And now look at you, you're a walking, sleep-deprived zombie," teased the partner even more. Lucy continued to walk with Alice as they made their way to school. She walked with her all the way until they made it to Alice's classroom. Unfortunately for the two of them, they were in different courses because they weren't both the same type of student(ie meister/weapon). However the two did share at least one class, but that class was at the end of the day. Until then, they would be separated for most of their school day. Lucy stayed in the hallway as they stood near Alice's first class. "I'll see you in class later, love," she said, using a term of endearment for once. Lucy walked up to Alice and put her hand on her cheek before giving her a farewell kiss. And with that, Lucy left Alice and made her way to her own classroom. The hallways were empty, afterall they were about twenty minutes late.

xxIf she hadn't been so tired, Alice would have been embarrassed. Unfortunately, that small amount of sleep had probably done her more harm than good. She felt like she had been hit by a train. She was oblivious to her partner's gaze as she picked herself up from the floor and continued to be oblivious as she changed clothes. When she emerged from her room now dressed and as ready for the day as she was going to get, she noticed the blush on Lucy's face. She rose an inquiring eyebrow but refrained from asking, perfectly unaware of her own slip up. Once she was ready, the left the apartment and began the walk to school. She knew her endlessly energetic partner would usually run to school and in the back of her mind, Alice felt bad for slowing her down. Not that it was really any of her fault. She hadn't asked or expected Lucy to escort her to school, not that she at all minded. Though she still felt bad for undoubtedly making them both late.

She smiled at the kiss and peered over at Lucy. "I wasn't expecting to stay up all night. It wouldn't have taken so long but it took forever to find all the sheet music and put it away." She yawned largely before continuing. "The pain medicine already makes me groggy enough as it is. I'm worried I'll fall asleep in class." Groggy was a slight understatement. The pain pills made Alice exhausted and her head felt like it was filled with cotton. She knew they were more or less intended to knock her out but she still had to go to school. She knew the odds of her staying awake in class were very, very low. She found herself disappointed as they arrived to school and it came time to split ways.
The Weapon could feel herself blush at the term of endearment. With a small kiss it was time to go into class, considering they were already twenty minutes late. With a sense of dread, Alice entered the classroom. She apologized to the teacher for disrupting and for being late and hobbled to her seat. As expected, there was one girl in the class that Alice had made friends with who had saved her a seat. She was a Sickle with blonde hair and pale complexion. The two of them had quickly become friends when they discovered they were both from Russia.

The Weapon dropped herself into her seat next to her friend and did her best to pay attention without being disruptive. She only lasted halfway through the class before she fell asleep on her notes. The whole day went that way and she did her best not to act too irritable. The crutches drew attention to her and Alice hated the way the other students peered curiously at her. It was probably no secret that she had messed up on her first mission and gotten herself hospitalized. News of these things usually spread around Shibusen quickly. Alice wouldn't have been quite so bothered by it if it hadn't been their very firs mission. Alice spent the day watching the clock when she was actually able to stay awake. The day floated by in a haze and when it was finally time for the last class, Alice was very happy to see Lucy.

Upon seeing her in the hallway, Alice shuffled over to her as quickly as possible. She looked up at her partner with what she didn't doubt was utter exhaustion, and leaned forward to her face in her shoulder. "Lucy, I'm so tired." She balanced herself on her crutches to free her hands and held onto her partner's. She knew she was pouting and being rather childish. She was too tired to stop herself from doing it, though.

Lucy walked into her first class of the day about twenty two minutes late. She was greeted with an awkward entrance with everyone staring at the door and a small scolding from her teacher. "Sorry," she apologized in a whisper as she made her way to her seat. The meister wasn't a spectacular student, but she did manage to get passing grades. Lucy's strong suit was physical activity, not studies. Her whole life has been a constant of B's and the occasional A's. She could never show off in the classroom, but damn did she show off during training. The meister curriculum was heavily based on physical training. Each meister class had both a physical and educational grade. Half of the time Lucy spent in class was spent on her feet and actively moving around. The classes did provide for education, however, by implementing history and writing assignments associated with the world of meisters and weapons. All of the meisters in her classes were in the same grade, and the same could be said about the weapon classes as well. Shibusen made it an effort to make the partnerships between weapons and meisters between people of the same age. It not only helped with synchronicity when fighting, but also to establish a healthy partnership.

The past few days have been her first days attending classes at Shibusen. The first day was a bit lonely because she jumped into the school year late and everyone had seemed to already formed their friend groups. But, luckily for Lucy, her exceptional athleticism put a bit of a spotlight on her one day and she managed to make friends with another meister, Nama, who happened to be the partner for one of Alice's friends. Lucy went through the whole day with Nama, having shared classes made it easier for their friendship to form. They even shared the final class of their schedules. The last class of the day for any first year student at Shibusen was the class that was mixed with both meisters and weapons. The class was all about preparing the new partnerships for the world that lies ahead of them. Basically, it was for the new partnerships to get started on their training for the real world. The roster of each class was based on which partnerships would have the most synergy with others. This was for later on in the school year when the teacher would assign the three man teams. The teacher for Lucy's class happened to be none other than Franken Stein, a long teacher of Shibusen and a highly renowned scythe meister. The classes so far with Stein have been basic lecture on meister/weapon synergy.

Lucy stood outside of the classroom, leaned back against the wall next to the door as she waited for her partner to show up. The sound of crutches brought her attention to the end of the hallway. She gave a small smile to herself as she watched Alice quickly shuffle over to her. The dark-haired girl stood up from the wall and greeted her still tired girlfriend. "Hey sleepy," she said teasingly. Lucy held her ground as Alice leaned herself on her shoulder. Lucy simply laughed and put her hand on top of Alice's head before she said, "You can take a nap after school in our new apartment." The meister couldn't help but put a wide smile on her face. The mere thought of the new apartment for the two of them was too much for her to contain. Lucy then felt that warm feeling she loved so much on her hands and returned the gesture. She gave Alice's hands a squeeze before letting go of them to bring them up to the tired weapon's face. She motioned Alice to look up at her and said, "One more class, love." She then sealed the deal by leaning down and giving her a sweet, innocent kiss. "Now come on, before we're late to another class today," she said jokingly as she let go of Alice to give her control of her crutches once again.

Lucy led the way into the classroom, finding her way to her assigned seat. Unfortunately, the seats were arranged by alphabetical order, forcing the two to part ways again. Lucy sat in the last row, which was the highest up. It was the same row Alice sat in, but they were on opposite sides. One would be surprised at how many people have last names that begin with the letter 'V'. The agenda for today's class was the same as the last, synergy with partners and effective methods for partners to become in sync with each other. The hour seemed to slug on and on that even Lucy was getting tired. The bell snapped her awake, however, and she met up with Alice again before they made their way to Alice's apartment. Because Alice was injured, she wasn't in the ideal condition to move furniture or anything else that required two hands for that matter. Lucy, being as fit as she was, didn't mind taking over the heavy lifting. It wasn't just to help out Alice, though, it also gave her an excuse to workout. Lucy walked Alice back to her apartment, but stayed outside. "Just pack whatever you can with whatever energy you have left," she said, unable to hold back a chuckle, "and I'll be back to carry it to our new place. First I gotta go change, so I'll see you in a few." Lucy then gave Alice a farewell kiss on her forehead before running in the direction of her own apartment.

xxLucy's words helped give Alice a small boost of excitement, though she knew it would wear off quickly. As excited as she was about moving in today, she was still very sleep deprived and very medicated. She grinned sleepily and leaned her head into Lucy's hands, doing her best to remain motivated. Just one more class. And then they would be moving in and she could sleep in their apartment. Again, the same question nagged at her again. Would they share a bedroom? Would it be too forward to think so? Would it be moving too quickly? Perhaps if they were just girlfriends, it might be a bit too fast. But they weren't just girlfriends, they were also partners. They worked together, fit together perfectly. They relied on each other to keep themselves safe as they threw themselves into the fray. Maybe it was a bit too forward but Alice wasn't sure. She found herself at a stalemate as always when she pondered this topic.

The Weapon followed her partner into the classroom and moved to her assigned seat. Honestly, this was debatably Alice's favorite class. She loved learning about how to strengthen her partnership with Lucy and what sort of incredible things they could do together. Frankly, there weren't really classes at Shibusen that Alice didn't enjoy. However, today she was too tired to have any of her usual enthusiasm. However, she was going to fight tooth and nail to stay awake. Some of her teachers were forgiving and understood her exhaustion. This class, however, was taught by Franken Stein and she knew he wouldn't tolerate her falling asleep, regardless of the situation. She idolized Stein, held him in the same high regard that she held lher own Meister. She had heard all sorts of stories about him and what he could do with a Death Scythe. As far as Meisters went, Stein was near the top of the list of her idols. Of course, biased as she was, Lucy would always hold that top spot...

Alice refused to make eye contact with any of her classmates as she moved to her seat in the back. She was still filled with shame, felt like she had let her Meister down and now the entire school knew because here she was after being on medical leave and now on crutches. It was a shot to her pride, irrational as it was. Fortunately, due to her last name being Wakefield, she would be seated in the back row where her classmates couldn't peer at her curiously without have to turn around in their seats and receive a lashing from Stein. Unfortunately, due to the assigned seating, she couldn't sit with Lucy. The bright side, however, was that her Weapon friend, Vera Yablakov, got to sit next to her. Vera was the partner of Lucy's friend, Nama. Unfortunately, Alice hadn't really gotten acquainted with Nama. She had spent the first few weeks of school apathetic and aloof because of her frustrations. Then she had been given a week absence to get to know her partner. And then she had spent a few days in the hospital. However, if Lucy liked Nama, then she didn't doubt that she would either. Especially with how well she got along with Vera.

Alice spent the duration of the class struggling to stay awake, feeling a sharp prod to her arm from her fellow Weapon to catch her attention when she had nearly fallen asleep. The hour seemed to drag on indefinitely and she was convinced she wasn't going to make it before the sound of the bell startled her awake again. She bid her farewell to Vera and met up with Lucy, ready to go home and move into their new apartment. Arriving back to her apartment was a bit surreal, knowing this would be the last time she would be in this one. She nodded groggily as she listened to Lucy and then, once she had gone, retreated into her apartment. Fortunately, she had almost completely packed last night. Aside from some clothes she was ready to go. So, the Weapon moved everything to the entryway that she could. The hardest part was getting her saxophone and music out of her room and into the entryway. Once finished, she opened the door to her apartment and sat down in the threshold. The Weapon leaned her head against the door and closed her eyes, falling asleep as she waited for Lucy to come back.

Lucy left Alice's apartment then ran back to her own. Just like Alice, she had been packing herself last night. However, the difference between her and her partner was that she was already mostly packed. Her laziness from unpacking when she first arrived to Death City turned out beneficial for her now that she was moving again. With the little amount she had to repack, Lucy was done packing by 11PM last night. She entered her apartment and immediately began to take off her clothes. They weren't the proper things to wear if she was going to be moving furniture and boxes and such. The one piece of clothing she didn't just throw in a box was her leather pelt, which was made and given to her by her parents. She actually took the time to fold and carefully place it in one of her boxes of clothes. The night before, Lucy had refrained from packing one set of clothes, and it was the set of clothes that she had planned to wear for this exact moving day. It was a very simple ensemble, consisting of training shorts and a white tank top with ankle socks and running shoes. She quickly got dressed and left her apartment in a matter of minutes. Using just the streets and sidewalks to get to Alice's apartment, Lucy ran as she tied her long black hair in a rather messy, but cute bun. Before she could return to Alice, Lucy needed a dolly to make the move easier. She knew she was the only one that could do any lifting, but she wanted to make it easier on herself by carrying more than one box at a time. The meister stopped by the nearest hardware store and borrowed a dolly.

Lucy made it to Alice's apartment within ten minutes of leaving. She arrived at the apartment only to be met with a sleepy Alice by the door. Lucy couldn't help but smile at her girlfriend. As much as she didn't want to wake her up, they needed to move in as soon as possible so that Alice could properly catch up on her sleep. The meister released the dolly and crouched down before she reached her hand out towards Alice's face. She pinched her nose closed and waited for her body to react on its own from oxygen deprivation. Once she was awake, Lucy laughed and let go of her nose. "C'mon sleepy, we got some moving to do. Could you start walking to the apartment and open it up for me while I load the boxes, please?" she kindly asked as she stood up again. Lucy stepped over Alice and started loading the dolly with a stack of the maximum amount of boxes it could handle before she began her first of many trips to the new apartment. She then secured the boxes using the straps attached to the dolly. Alice and Lucy both knew that Alice was in no shape to lift anything. It was the harsh truth and Lucy assumed it made Alice feel some sort of guilt, but it was something they couldn't ignore. If they did, Alice would risk re-injury, and neither of them wanted that. Once the dolly was fully loaded, Lucy made her way to her and Alice's new apartment. Because Alice was slower due to her crutches, she was able to catch up with her. The new apartment wasn't terribly far, but at the rate that Alice walked it took about two times longer to make it there. The next trips wouldn't take nearly that long, however, because 1)Lucy wasn't injured and 2)Lucy intended to run for each trip. After all, the move wasn't just to move, it was also a chance for her to workout, which was why she was dressed the way she was.

Once the two made it to the apartment, Lucy unloaded the boxes in the living room. She made it an effort to even set all the boxes down individually on the floor so that Alice didn't need to lift them herself. When the dolly was finally free of boxes, Lucy walked over to Alice and gave her a quick peck before saying, "I'll be back with some more of your stuff. Once all your s**t is in here, I'll go get mine. Should only take around five trips." Lucy had about half of the amount of boxes that Alice had, so her belongings would only need two trips. The thing about Alice's belongings though, was that her saxophone was so big that it couldn't be carried with a stack of boxes, it had to be carried by itself because of both its size and how delicate it was to Alice. Lucy knew far too well that she would need to carry Alice's saxophone last and by itself because it was practically Alice's baby and she needed to carry it with the utmost care. Because of this, Alice's belongings needed three trips while Lucy only needed two. "Just sit down on the couch and relax. I'll be back," she said before she finally left to retrieve more of Alice's boxes.

xxOf all the ways to be awoken, having her nose pinched was the last thing she was expecting. Alice woke up almost immediately by the sensation of her nose being pinched rather than a need to breathe. The Weapon pouted and rubbed her nose, her eyes watering from the sting. "Of all the ways to wake me up..." Pouting, she picked herself up off the floor and moved back into her apartment to let Lucy in. And of course her Meister was correct in the assumption that she felt guilty that Lucy had to do all of the work. She couldn't even carry her saxophone, which she wanted to transport. It wasn't that she didn't trust her partner to be careful... she was just overly concerned. If something were to happen to it--well, baritone saxophones were rather expensive. Instead of fretting over what may or may not happen to her saxophone, she decided to do as she was told. With a bit of hesitation, the Weapon began the walk to their new apartment. It wasn't a long walk but her crutches made it much longer. She got about halfway to the new apartment before her partner caught up with her. They walked to the apartment together, Lucy moving some of her belongings on the dolly.

When they got to the apartment and Lucy had unloaded her things, she couldn't help feeling bad as the Meister went back out with the dolly. She had to do all the work herself and while it wasn't her fault and obviously Lucy wasn't bothered by it, Alice still felt guilty. Once her partner was gone, she looked down at the boxes and sighed. She was happy to be moving in and the prospect of living together. She just felt so useless while she was injured, wishing it would be as simple as just discarding her crutches. With a sigh she set to work trying to do what she could to help get them settled.

It took a few hours for them to get everything moved and more or less settled. They didn't get much unpacked but it was enough for them to be comfortable. She sat on Lucy's bed, dressed in her pajamas and squinting at nothing. She was tired and wanted to sleep but she rather desperately wanted to spend time with her Meister in their new apartment. Instead, Alice settled for sitting on her Meister's bed half awake. "Lucy... Are we going to sleep in the same bed? I wanna sleep in the same bed." Her voice was intentionally whiny and probably demanding. She was too tired to be sheepish about it anymore. Fortunately nothing had happened to her saxophone and it had arrived to the new apartment safe and in one piece.

The Weapon had yet to eat that day, though she seemed ignorant of her own hunger. Instead she was simply tired and was more interested in going to sleep than eating. But she did rather want to sleep in the same bed as Lucy, to be able to exercise that new privilege that came with them sharing an apartment. Assuming, if course that her partner wanted to sleep in the same bed as her. She was too tired to even really think about what sort of implications might come with the phrase "sleeping together." Perhaps if she had gotten enough sleep she would have been to embarrassed to suggest it. But, sleep deprived as she was, Alice was completely clueless.

It took about an hour for Lucy to finish moving both Alice and her own belongings to their new apartment. It then took another hour to move the furniture around to the orientation they agreed upon and yet another hour to unpack everything that they needed for at least the first night of their stay. Altogether, the move took three hours, which was quite efficient if thought in hindsight. After the move was complete(for the most part) Lucy collapsed on her bed next to Alice. She lied down behind her with her chest slightly heaving up and down. A coat of sweat could be seen and smelled from the meister as she finally took time to relax her muscles. She didn't regret doing everything herself though. In fact, she felt that it was a good thing. "Man, I haven't had that long of a workout in my life but damn did it feel great," she said, huffing between her words in exhaustion. Lucy knew she probably shouldn't have been working for so long, but the fact of the matter was that the move was never going to happen unless she did. Lucy closed her eyes, letting relaxation take over her. She was in desperate need for a shower to get rid of the sweat and relax her muscles, but the bed was just so inviting. She then heard Alice ask something that she had been thinking about for quite some time now. Lucy's eyes opened and a smile pulled at her lips. She turned her body to lie on her side, curling up against the back side of Alice's body as she sat on the bed. "Well that was sudden," she said in a light, playful voice. She reached for Alice's hand and brought it to her face to kiss it sweetly. "But of course we are, love. We'll just switch rooms every night so one room doesn't collect dust," she said as she let go of Alice's hand and sat up.

Lucy stood up from the bed and walked in front of Alice. She leaned down and squinted as she looked at her. "You didn't eat today, did you ya little s**t?" she scolded. The meister walked over to the apartment phone and dialed in the number of the local pizza store, which she managed to memorize within her first week in Death City. The meister ordered a standard pepperoni pizza and hung up the phone once she was done. "I ******** reek so I'm gonna take a shower," she said as she walked to the bathroom, grabbing a towel and a set of clothes on the way. Lucy quickly took her shower and emerged from the bathroom in a cloud of steam. "Ahhh! Now that's better," she said in a heavenly voice. Lucy had changed out of her workout clothes and into her sleeping clothes, which consisted of a pair of boxers and a regular t-shirt. Lucy refused to wear something as uncomfortable as a bra when she slept and the boxers took place of her panties, so she only ever wore two pieces of clothing at night. By the time Lucy came out of the shower, the pizza had arrived. She made no hesitation to eat her long-awaited, much-needed dinner. She could only hope that Alice had at least eaten something while she was in the bathroom.

Once Lucy finished her dinner, she put her dirty plate in the sink. It was a chore she would need to take care of later. Between going to classes and heavy lifting for three hours, Lucy was damn well spent. She finished her night with brushing her teeth before she finally gave into her, now her and Alice's, bed. Lucy and Alice's rooms were the same size, but the orientation of the room was different. In Lucy's room, the entryway was quickly met with the closet on the right side and the bed on the left. Earlier that day, Lucy had arranged her room so that the bed was in the middle of the wall(she never liked beds up against walls, it felt too constricting to her), and her desk was against the wall opposite the foot of the bed, right under the window. The dark-haired girl jumped onto the bed and spread her limbs out, getting in the most comfortable position under the blankets. She looked up at Alice and gave her a rather tired smile. Her hand then found its way to her chest, just below her collar bone, and lightly tapped it, gesturing Alice to lie down on top of here. "Come here and cuddle with me."

xxFeeling Lucy's body curl around hers was soothing, being able to just touch and feel each other. Being so close and comfortable, knowing that neither one of them would have to get up and go to a separate apartment to live in. She smiled when the Meister kissed her hand, feeling a small colony of butterflies start in her stomach. Another good thing about living together would be that it would be easy for them to take care of each other. Having Lucy squint at her, chastising for having not eaten, was proof of this. She had no idea how Lucy could tell, but she couldn't deny it. Most days Alice was like a ravenous animal and could eat for days. On other days, like this when she was sleep deprived, she could go all day without eating and not even seem to notice. She couldn't help snickering as her partner broke away to order some food for them. Of course she was going to pay for it, whether Lucy liked it or not. She had to do something since the Meister had moved all of their belongings by herself.

While Lucy was in the shower Alice sprawled herself out on the bed and dozed off. It wasn't a deep sleep so she was able to not sleep through the doorbell. She paid for the food and tipped the delivery driver and padded back into the apartment with their prize. By the time Lucy had emerged from the bathroom, Alice had already eaten three slices of pizza. Honestly, she would eat the whole damn thing if she could but she wasn't about to eat Lucy's share. Once they were both finish, Alice hobbled to the kitchen on one crutch and washed both their plates. She wasn't about to let her partner do everything today.

Once finished in the kitchen she hobbled to the bathroom and brushed her teeth and took her hair down out of its usual bun. She placed the pins on the counter and found herself smiling at small things, like seeing their toothbrushes next to each other. Simple things that reminded her of the fact that they were living together. It all felt so domestic and she loved it. Alice moved back to Lucy's bedroom and was greeted with the sight of watching her partner settle into bed. The Weapon's preferred form of sleep clothes was a weathered old gray tank top with some lime green text on it that was too faded to be legible anymore and a pair of pajama pants. Her blue hair was messy and tried to retain the shape it had been held in all day, making it wavy and slightly unkempt. The invitation was welcome though unneeded. Honestly, cuddling with Lucy was at the top of her list of priorities. Even over sleeping.

Alice smiled as she moved to the bed, propping her crutch up against the wall before gratefully dropping onto the bed. She took extra caution when moving her injured leg beneath the blankets but settled quickly enough, rolling onto her stomach to cuddle with Lucy. She laid partially on top of the Meister, her head resting on the other girl's chest. She reveled in the way her partner's chest rose and fell with her breathing, the warmth of her skin, being as close to her as she could. Again she felt her hormones flare up, suddenly aware of how close they were and how incredibly attractive Lucy was. As if she wasn't already aware... "I love you." The words had flowed out of her mouth before she realized what she was doing. It felt like she was signing over her soul, as if those were the most powerful words she might ever utter in her life. Suddenly, she felt herself blushing. Hard. She felt her pulse sky rocket and for the first time today she didn't even feel slightly groggy. They hadn't really exchanged "love you"s yet. They had done lots of things, kissing, hold hands, lots of things that carried the connotation of the phrase. But to put it out there so plainly, to use words, felt like an entirely different level of gravity. "I mean--what?"

Lucy smiled as her half closed eyes looked up at Alice. She removed her hand from her chest and stretched her arm out to invite Alice in. Before her partner joined her, however, Lucy quickly propped herself up on one elbow and reached up the wall to switch the lights off. The meister had every intention to fall asleep once Alice was comfortable with her. As Alice settled herself slightly on top of Lucy, the meister's eyes closed completely as she let the darkness and much-needed sleep take over her. She moved her arm to wrap around Alice's shoulders as she lied on top of her. Ms. Tengku's body officially began to relax completely. Her breathing slowed the most relaxed pace as her eyelids became heavy with sleep. The room was dark and all was quite except for the sound of Lucy's thumb lightly rubbing against the cloth on Alice's shoulder. The moments passed and her thumb ceased movement. It was time to sleep. It was time for the meister to rest from her prolonged exercise of the day. She could feel her muscle tension release as her body gradually became more and more limp the more she gave herself up to Mr. Sandman. Just as Lucy was about to fall asleep, Alice spoke. The words that came out of her mouth had entered Lucy's ears as if she was already dreaming. Surely something so surreal couldn't have happened in real life, Lucy must have been dreaming. The meister opened her eyes in the darkness and looked around, letting her eyes adjust to the pitch black of the room. She lied silently on the bed, waiting for some sign to tell her that she was in fact dreaming, but no such sign came. Instead, Alice speaking again reassured her that it most certainly wasn't a dream.

The fifteen-year-old could feel a blush begin to flush to her cheeks as the temperature in her face rose. She wasn't exactly sure how to react to something so serious. She knew Alice was serious in her words solely by the way her voice sounded. Lucy knew that Alice only ever had four kinds of voices: complaining, joking, concerned, and serious. The fourth of which had rarely come out in the time that she's known her. However, Lucy would know that demeanor anywhere. The partner herself was caught in a tough situation. She couldn't and didn't want to lie to Alice, so she had no choice but to say exactly how she felt. After silent moments of contemplation, Lucy's eyes had finally adjusted to the dark room. She shifted her eyes down at the blue hair that rose and fell with her chest as she breathed. "Alice..." she said in a calm, soothing voice, trying to get the girl's attention. "I want you to look at me when I say this to you," she said as she tilted her head down to look at her partner. Once she had the girl's attention, she moved her free left hand up to Alice's face and gently placed her hand on her cheek. Despite the darkness that enveloped the both of them, Lucy looked directly into Alice's eyes. "I can't say those words back to you, Alice. It's not the right time for me to say that to you and the last thing I want to do is lie about my feelings. You know more than anyone just how much I care about you, but I'm not going to say that until I'm ready. Until I'm ready and until I feel that way, I can't say that to you just yet. But please, my love, please remember that I still care about you. And odds are that I'll eventually say those words to you, but just not now. Okay?"

Lucy could only hope that Alice would be understanding of the position she was in. The meister deeply cared for the weapon, and both of them knew that already. Lucy just wasn't ready to state something so serious. After all, Alice was her first girlfriend. She didn't want to rush things, as much as she liked her, it was the last thing she wanted to do. Confessing love is exactly what rushing was, especially after only knowing each other for two weeks. Alice might've been ready to confess her love for Lucy, but Lucy wasn't quite there yet. Ms. Tengku has never experienced true love for herself. She didn't know if the feeling would ever come to her, but if/when it would, she would know and say it to Alice in a heartbeat. Lucy stretched her neck down slightly and gave Alice a slow, passionate kiss. After a couple moments of holding the sweet kiss, Lucy pulled away and kissed Alice's forehead. "I really do care about you, you know," she said, making sure that Alice knew. With the kind of things that Lucy had just said, she could understand if Alice was sad or discouraged about their relationship. Lucy just wanted Alice to know that her feelings for her haven't changed despite Alice's confession. In fact, it made Lucy's attraction much stronger. However, despite this, it still wasn't enough for Lucy to confess back. That would be for another day.

xxShe wished she could take her words back. Just grab them out of the air, out of Lucy's ears and brain, and throw them away. The Weapon cursed her exhaustion and cursed her failed brain-to-mouth filter that was obviously malfunctioning. And though she was expecting things to take a horrible turn, she couldn't help that stupid, wistful, childish part of herself that hoped it would go as well as all those fairy tale movies from her childhood promised. But beyond that, what Alice realistically wanted, was for Lucy to ignore it. Or, better yet, to be fast enough asleep that she didn't really hear it. The silence was heavy, obviously filled with some promise of words, though not revealing what sort of words those might be.

Once Lucy breathed her name, the Weapon knew this was going to end as horribly as she expected it to. She knew her partner wouldn't be cruel, say anything stereotypically evil. She wouldn't scoff and ask her what her deal was, but she could tell by the tone of her voice that this was going to be something she would rather not hear. Anxiety constricted her chest and she was dreading the worst. She felt herself trembling, felt like she was a child again. She felt her pulse race and her stomach twist into vicious knots that made her feel like she might vomit. She worried at her bottom lip with her teeth as she looked up at Lucy despite the great sense of dread that had overcome her. In the back of her mind she realized she was having an anxiety attack though she wasn't going to admit it to Lucy. As she listened she could feel her eyes beginning to water and mentally cursed herself.

Of all the emotions she was feeling, guilt was perhaps the most prominent. She felt terrible for putting Lucy in this position, for making her say these things. She could tell that Lucy was worried about what sort of damage her words might do. And while the words did sting, she was more upset with herself than anything else. And now she was afraid to react. She didn't want to make Lucy feel bad or make her feel like she had done something wrong by not reciprocating her confession. At the same time, however, she could feel her anxiety trying to get out of control. It had been so long since she'd really been so subjected to her anxiety disorder, but she remembered all the signs clearly. The symptom that stood out the most strongly was her surge of self-loathing and her desperate want to isolate herself. And though Lucy kissed her, Alice found it hard to return it. Her pulse was racing, thundering in her ears like a torrential downpour. She had never told her Meister about her anxiety, about how it could come out of nowhere and sucker punch her so hard she might not be herself for days or weeks.

When the kiss ended Alice hesitated a moment, trying to will her anxiety away. Instead it kept feeding itself, afraid to react lest she make Lucy feel guilty. And on top of it all was her self-loathing, loathing herself for confessing like that, for putting Lucy in this situation, and for letting herself get so upset so easily. Suddenly, the Weapon sat up quickly and was disentangling herself from her partner, mumbling apologies over and over. She ignored her crutch propped against the wall and limped to the bathroom to desperately rummage through one of her boxes in there. Near the bottom of the box she found the bright orange prescription bottle. She opened the bottle with shaking hands and took out a pill and swallowing it. She sat on the edge of the bathtub, staring at her feet and ignoring her shaking, waiting for the medicine to calm her down.

The last thing Lucy wanted was for her relationship with Alice to weaken, friendship and romantic wise. Any relationship she had with the girl she cherished completely and didn't want either of them to fade or die. The bond that the two have created so far has been the best bond Lucy has had outside of her family. The meister could only hope that Alice understood her words. Both of them knew it was a very awkward and tense situation and neither of them were particularly comfortable at this point. However, despite this, Lucy continued to hold Alice in her arms. She had moved her hands away from her face and moved them to hold Alice in a warm embrace. After a few moments of silence, Lucy could feel Alice begin to tremble. Her eyes shifted down to look at her partner as her trembling intensified. "Alice...?" she asked in a concerned voice. And then suddenly, Lucy felt Alice frantically freeing herself from her arms. "Alice!" she called out to her as she bolted out of the room. Lucy instantly sprung out of her bed and ran after her partner, following her up to the bathroom door. The meister could do nothing but watch in complete shock as she watched Alice take what seemed to be anxiety medication. Lucy opened her mouth to say something, but couldn't find the words or stomach to say anything to Alice. Her partner was very vulnerable, Lucy knew this well, so she tried her best to help the situation.

Lucy turned around and headed for the kitchen. She grabbed a clean glass and filled it with water before she walked back to the bathroom. The fifteen-year-old stood in the doorway, feeling helpless as she saw her partner shiver and staring blankly at her feet. When she gathered the courage, Lucy cautiously walked into the bathroom and set the glass of water down on the counter. "If you need it," she said, referring to the glass of water. Lucy desperately wanted to hold Alice and try to calm her down, but if there was one thing she knew about anxiety it was that touching often made it worse. So, Lucy went with her instinct and decided against touching or even getting close to Alice. Instead, she turned and headed back for her room. The meister stopped at the door frame and turned around to face Alice again. "If you want to be alone, then you don't have to sleep in my room tonight," said Lucy with a hint of sadness at the prospect of her sleeping alone. "But my room is still open. I'll be there if you need me," she said to reassure the girl. After a few seconds of silence, Lucy sighed and said, "If you decide to come back to bed, then I'll be waiting...If not, then..well..goodnight." And with that, Lucy finally turned and left for her room.

The meister slowly walked to her room, an ache paining her chest as she thought about what she had done. Thinking back, Lucy decided that pretending to be asleep would've been better for the both of them. But what's done is done and Lucy couldn't take it back now. In truth, the meister wasn't at all sorry about how she felt. Her feelings were her feelings and she believed that she had the right to feel however she wanted. She just wished that the current result of her actions had never happened. Feeling Alice tremble in her arms was just as hurtful as watching her tremble on the edge of the bathtub. Lucy could only hope that Alice would calm down. There's only so much she can do. She already caused the situation, the last thing she wanted to do was make the situation worse. Defeated, the meister retreated back to her room. Upon entering the room, however, she noticed that Alice's crutches were still in it. Lucy picked up both crutches and walked back to the bathroom. She didn't show herself in the doorway though. Instead, she simply propped both crutches against the wall right next to the bathroom's door frame. If Alice decided not to sleep with her tonight, then she wanted to save Alice the possible embarrassment of showing herself in her room just to get her crutches. With nothing else to do, Lucy went back into her room and lied down on her bed under the sheets. She pulled them over her shoulder and curled up slightly as she grabbed her chest in pain. The constant flow of guilt for what had just happened to Alice was taking its toll on her body. "I'm sorry, Alice.." she whispered aloud to herself as she closed her eyes. Now all she could do was wait. It didn't matter if Alice would sleep in her bed or in her own, Lucy refused to go to sleep until Alice fell asleep first.

xxHer mind was racing noisily; it sounded like every sound in the world was competing for her attention but she knew it was all in her head. She knew it was her anxiety, knew it was trying desperately to cycle out of control and maybe even become a full on panic attack. Fortunately the medicine she had taken would take effect soon and she would calm down. She hated the medicine, hated how it made her feel, but it was better than this. She nearly jumped at the sound of Lucy's voice and looked up to see the glass of water. As her partner left, she could hear the emotions in her voice and guilt stabbed at her chest again. She didn't want to make Lucy feel bad, make it feel like this was her fault. She opened her mouth to speak but she found it impossible to speak. Instead, she could only watch quietly as her partner left. After a moment, Alice retrieved the glass of water and sipped it cautiously. Until she calmed down, her stomach would be a volatile system of knots and she knew drinking too much water could make her sick.

A moment later she looked up to see her crutches being placed in the bathroom. She sighed and looked back at her feet on the bathroom floor. She held the glass tightly, worried she might drop it if she didn't. She sat in the bathroom in silence for nearly an hour before she finally felt calm again. She had finished the water and placed the glass back on the counter. Looking in the mirror, she saw her reflection. She looked awful: pale, large bags under her eyes, and unkempt hair. She was reminded of how tired she was now that the anxiety had worn off. She placed the pill bottle on the counter next to the glass and limped back out of the bathroom, ignoring the crutches, and into the bedroom. The Weapon didn't say anything, couldn't even bring herself to look at Lucy. After a moment of hesitation in the doorway, she moved into the bedroom. All her emotions felt muted, like her head was full of molasses. She hated it. She knew that without it she would still be in the bathroom trying to settle herself down.

The Weapon lay back down, getting settled beneath the blankets, and biting her bottom limp. She couldn't bring herself to look at Lucy, but she did reach out and grip her shirt tightly in her hand, wanting to touch her but not thinking she had any right at present. "I'm sorry, Lucy... I didn't mean to make you feel bad. It's not your fault. I shouldn't have said anything--I'm sorry." She found it impossible to stop apologizing, repeating "I'm sorry" over and over again.

Lucy lied on her bed, alone and awake. Her half closed eyes were drifting in and out of sleep as she struggled to stay awake. The meister refused to go to asleep until she knew her partner was safe in bed, whether it be her own or not. All the meister could do was lie in silence as her eyes and ears adjusted to the night. For the next hour she listened quietly as she heard Alice shift around here and there. From what she had heard, it seemed like her partner had actually taken the water she offered, which was a big relief for Lucy. The dark-haired girl just wanted for Alice to be safe, for her to calm down and get the rest she needed from a night like this. Lucy tossed and turned in her bed as the uneasiness settled in on her. Despite her girlfriend being thirty feet away from her, she couldn't help but feel anxious for her. For all she knew, Alice could've been passed out on the bathroom floor. It was highly unlikely though because Lucy would've heard it and rushed to help her in a heartbeat, but it could still happen. Lucy was genuinely worried about Alice and she just wished that she could hold her and tell her how much she cared about her. She wanted to apologize for saying what she said that made Alice trigger so violently. She just wanted Alice in her arms and fall asleep to forget about her pains.

After an hour of lying in her bed, alone and awake, Lucy heard shuffling footsteps enter her room. She turned over to face Alice as she joined her under the covers. Before she could do anything, however, Alice beat her to it and started talking herself. As Lucy lied there facing Alice, listening to her frantically and endlessly apologize, she couldn't help but feel guilty. Lucy knew very well that Alice triggered because of what she said, and if she had never said it then it wouldn't have ever happened. She regretted not pretending to be asleep. While Alice kept apologizing, Lucy moved her hand up to her chest. She grabbed Alice's hand and pried it off her shirt while she continued to quietly listen to her apologize. Lucy then scooted closer to Alice and curled herself up before nuzzling and wedging herself and her face into the top of Alice's chest. She brought her hands up between her body and Alice's before she clutched onto Alice's shirt. "I'm just happy you're okay.." said her muffled voice. Lucy closed her eyes and tugged on Alice's shirt, pulling her as close as she could. "I really do care about you, you know...I just...I just want you to always remember that no matter what happens okay?" It was Lucy's turn to apologize, and she didn't plan on half-assing it. "I'm sorry that what I said was triggering. I just...didn't want to lie to you."

                                                    "I'm sorry...For everything.."
