The depressed Joker remained silent for several moments, holding Firefly close as he hid his face against the top of her head. Just before he spoke, the first noise he made was a soft, but long, sigh.

+++"I can't help but be suspicious when something goes right..."
+++"Thank you... Thank you for staying with me..." /hugs tighter

As the previously depressed Joker gently kept his arm linked with hers and looked around the casino. He wasn't sure what she was looking for, but there were a few far more noticeable people that he saw right away.

One remained at a café table, slouched down quite low in his seat with a disposable coffee cup in front of him. It didn't look as if he'd moved at all from when Firefly had seen him originally.
The one who'd been opening the door for a woman was now pulling out chairs for a group of women who had decided to sit with him.
The droopy-pants-wearing Joker was hassling a woman and just as she was about to leave, his hand reached out and gave her chest a poke, earning him yet another punch to the face.
The social Joker again had a crowd, and appeared to be giving advice to a rather distraught looking woman. Even from where they were, it was obvious he seemed quite concerned for her, despite the knowledge that she definitely had to be a stranger.

/pulls up an extra seat to the table but sits right across from the lone Joker
/tilts her head and props it up by her elbow

The Joker slumped in his chair took a moment to even seem to notice that Firefly was sitting there. Having been intently focused on his coffee cup, hand resting around it without actually gripping it, he seemed a bit shocked when he looked up and realized she was sitting across from him, as well as the Joker she'd brought along.

+++"Oh... Yeah... I think I heard you say somethin' about pennies..."
+++"I don't have any spare change, sorry."
+++"A single penny wouldn't do you much good anyway."
