Claire shifted uneasily. "I know the feeling..." she said, slipping in a small, almost forced laugh. It just felt so.. AWKWARD... Especially since apart of her couldn't even get over that morning. It seemed so far away.. and yet.. so recent. She couldn't help but notice the occasional student with a picture of Dexter on their phones showing it off to their friends and laughing.... Not that she was embarrassed to be seen with Dexter. She just.. felt odd. Sort of like a feeling of pity.

K.R. sat at the very edge of the bleachers and watched the basketball players. Such a pointless sport.... Not as good as his own.

Dexter stared forward. It couldn't be told if he was embarrassed about the pictures, or if he just didn't care. Dexter chose not to notice when people pointed over to where he was sitting.

Emiri stared at K.R. for a few more seconds then turned back around and began to mess with people again.

Claire fidgetted a bit, finally looking up at Dexter- who wasn't even looking at her in the first place. Trying to relax a bit, she broke the silence with a quiet, "So........."

K.R. momentraily removed his glasses, closing his eyes as he did so, and cleaned off the large lenses with his shirt. Setting them back on his nose, he reopened his eyes and went abck to staring.

Dexter looked over at Claire, "Huh?" he asked, clearly thinking she said more than just 'so'. He wasn't really paying attention, not his fault.

Emiri glanced down at her watch.... how much longer did they have left?

((WELL if he had been paying attention.. XD))

Claire stared at him for a bit, blinked, cracked a tiny smile and corrected, "Uhm.. I didn't.. say anytihng yet." It was pretty easy to tell she was trying to keep from laughing at Dexter- who had probably been laughed at enough that day. Ooooo did I just rub salt in the wounds? Yes. Yes I did.

K.R. found himself glancing over at Emiri. Hmm... odd. Females generally seemed to hunt in packs, but this one was alone. Why was that? Completely losing control of his movements, he found himself somewhat mechanically moving over to where Emiri was sitting. He souldn't stop himself. But now that he was standing there... he couldn't speak. After all- he wasn't even sure why he was over there in the first place.

So he stared.
As though he weren't creepy enough.

Emiri blinked, slightly glaring at KR. What did he want.... creepy little freshmen. "May I help you?" Emiri asked.

Dexter turned a bit red, "Oh.. uhm, sorry, I thought... i heard you say something..." He mummbled.

"It's ok.." Claire said. She found herself looking back at the basketball court because she couldn't think of anything else to say.

K.R. continued to stare. His mouth opened as though he were about to say something.. but no words would come out. And suddenly, he was sweating. What was this feeling..? Wasn't it called... embarrassment?
"Ffffff...... nnnnnnnn....... eeeeee......." he attempted, but no use. Nothing. So he just stood, completely stumped and turning red.

Emiri continued to stare at KR. "... uhm, I.. can't understand you.." She said. It would be easier to just read his mind.. but... what fun is that? None?

Dexter stared off into space. Space being the basketball court. After a few moments, he blurted out, "Do you know what the point of this game is?" He looked at Claire.

K.R. made a small choking noise.. then fled.

Claire jumped a bit at Dexter's random question. She looked at him, tilting her head a bit and trying to decide if he was serious. When it was obvious he wasn't kidding around, she replied slowly, "Well.. uhm.. I'm not the most... ATHLETIC person on Earth.. but... I think the basic idea is to take the ball and throw it through... yanno... the hoop?" She tried to remember that not everyone at this school was as they seemed.. and now wondered what Dexter was.

~

K.R. sat outside, trembling a bit and holding himself. WHAT... JUST... HAPPENED!? He had completely lost control of his body... But the strange part was.. it wasn't......

Bad.

Emiri shook her head, and went back to messing with the people on the court.

Dexter nodded a bit, it's not HIS fault he never went to a school sporting event in his life. And frankly, TV's scared him. Dexter watched the people on the court curiously. "What's the point of basketball? It seems a bit.. repetitive..."

K.R. took a few moments to get himself under control. Soon, his face cooled and he had stopped shaking and started breathing normally. Rising to his feet, he decided whatever had just happened to him would not happen again. Not on HIS watch.

~

Claire shrugged. "Well... it kind of is.. but I guess that's the point of all sports- that is.. not to have a point." She paused.. then laughed a bit. "Sorry.. that didn't make any sense.. did it?"

Dexter looked at Claire, "Nah, It made sense...." He said, then looked back to the game. Which he just lost. And I lost. And so did you.

Emiri yawned a bit, bored. How much longer untill this class ended?

Claire focused on a little strand of hair that had fallen in her face. She blew on it and watched it float slowly back down. It was like.. as soon as she and Dexter made conversation- they immediately lost anything to say.

~

K.R. not ready to go in yet, stayed outside.

In other news, tha narrator, tired of always being the one in charge of time is leaving it up to the other narrator to do something about it already. GOSH.

As if answering Emiri's previous thought, the bell rang. Loudly. Much like Coach Hurts whistle.

Dexter rubbed the side of his head a bit. Loud, sudden noises... not his thing.

Even in the flow of time, we have forgotten how to forget.
