[Seven Strike]

Claire walked off to the lunch room. I'd go into more detail but I fel like talking about Sable right now. So neh.

Sable trailed after Emiri into the library. All was going well until an all-too-familiar voice called to him.

"Sable? What are you doing in here? Shouldn't you be at lunch??"

Sable flinched and turned to Ms. Bell, "cutting" his hand over his throat in an attempt to silence her.

Ms. Bell didn't get the message. "What?? Why are you doing that? Are you trying to hide from someone and you don't want them to know you're here??"

Sable gripped at his hair a bit and held up a finger over his mouth desperately.

"Are they in here now?"

Sable hit his face to his palm.

Emiri leaned around the shelf, looking.. or rather.. Glaring at Sable. She disappeared back behind the shelf, running her fingers over the spines of the books as she looked for one in particular.

Sable galnced over and grimaced. Just walk out now.. no one would blame you. He shook his head. No! No backing out now! Walking casually over to the exact same bookshelf as Emiri, he narrated his own actions in his thoughts. Ok, here it goes. Stand casually. Don't look at her. Look through titles. Look intrigued. Pick one out. Open it and finger through it lightly. Look of dissappointment. Replace it on the shelf. Place hands in pockets. Glance over. Notice her. Aaaaand.... approach! "Hey.." Sable called out, giving a half-hearted wave to Emiri. "Aren't you in my Algebra II class?"

Emiri looked at Sable. "No duh, Sherrock." She said. She turned away from him and continued to look at the book spines. She took one small side step away from Sable, continueing on her book hunt.

Sable looked a bit shocked. What the cookie was THAT?! He ran a hand through his dark hair and took another step towards her. "I think you mean 'SHERLOCK'.." he corrected, smiling a bit. "So are you looking for anything in specific? This place is like a second home to me, so I can find just about anything.." He smiled at her charismaticaly, trying to get in touch with this new "Hot Older Brother" character. It was difficult to pull off without Dexter, but he could still do it.

Emiri looked at Sable, "That's what I said. Sherrock. See?" She said defensively. Emiri turned back to the books, mummbling "And I know where every thing is, Thank you." She took another small step to the side.

"Oh yeah? You uhh... come here often?" Sable said jokingly, moving closer to Emiri again. He stuffed his hands in his pockets again, insistant that Emiri was actually crazy about him.. She's just playing hard to get. She'll warm up to me like a fresh plate of cookies.

Emiri turned and faced Sable, getting a bit annoyed. She just wanted to get a book, and go read. "Look, Don't you have another freshman to hand over to the seniors or something?" Emiri crossed her arms, staring at Sable with her dark eyes.

Sable's eyes widened. "Wh-what? I don't know what you're...." he trailed off. Taking a step or two back, he swallowed hard in his now dry throat and thought, What the....!? How did she... What is this chick!? Some kind of.. of...

"I do believe that the word you might be looking for is Telepath." She said, rolling her eyes, "And you don't have to freak out, not like I'm not going to tell the poor, tramatized kid.. or anyone else for that matter." Emiri turned, facing the other set of book shelfs. She began to become occupied with the book titles, and after a few moments... "OH!~ I found it!" She said happily, Emiri already forgot Sable was standing there. She sliped the romance novel out of its spot on the book shelf, leafing threw the pages.

Sable took in a sharp breath. His tone quickly harshening, he said, "Look, you don't know what it's like living in a room with that little-- Hey is that a romance novel?" He blinked. "You like romance novels?" he asked in disbelief.

Emiri looked at Sable, "Yeah. Whats wrong with liking romance novels?" She said. "They arn't that bad actually. I really like reading about Raul.." She said, looking back down at the book.

Sable almost jumped back, his jaw dropping a bit. Everyone he knew always hated romance novels... They thought they were cheesy or unrealistic or whatever reason. "GET OUT!!" he exclaimed. "You read the Raul Carrillo chronicals?!" Sable was getting kind of excited.. which was very weird for him. "Which ones fave you read? Dark Temptation? Love of the Lost? Heart and Soul?"


((If you're wondering, yes, I did just rip off the titles of my mom's romance novels.. XD))

Emiri blinked, taking a small step back. "Uhm..." She blinked a few times. "I... don't know.." She said, "I did enjoy reading Dark Temptation though."

Emiri at the moment, had no idea what to think. She didn't think Sable would be the type to read Romatic novels.

Sable nodded a bit, fixing his chin so that it was propped in his hand. "That was on of my favorites. I find it compelling how despite that Raul is suffering from that illness, Loretta still chooses to stay with him." He smiled a bit. Not one of his fake, cool smiles.. but an actual... SMILE. It took hinm a second to realize HE was doing it, and the smile quickly faded. He coughed a bit awkwardly.
