Sable looked back at him, bored already. "When you discover the answer to that- you'll truley understand the meaning of beinh human," he said dramatically.. though anyone could have told he wasn't being serious.

"I don't know.." Claire said quietly- glad she wasn't the ONLY one thinking that.. She stared as the little brick kitchen drew nearer and her stomach rumbled as the smells drifted under her nose..
Dexter nodded as if he were listening still. He was getting bored again, now that Sable had stoped being nice...

Gwen looked at Claire, "Well, someone's really hungry.."
Sable turned back around to face forward in line. He leaned against the wall idly and blinked a bit. Waiting in line.. even at magic schools it was still probably the most boring thing on Earth...

Claire blushed wildly. "Oh.. uhm.. d-did you... hear that?" she asked awkwardly.
Dexter stared at Sable for a moment, then reached up, flattening a piece of his hair. Dexter watched as the little lock of hair popped back up. "Sable.... Why does your hair stick up like that...?" Dexter asked, trying to flatten Sable hair again.

Gwen nodded, "But, i don't think anyone else did.." She said, giving her friend a smile.
Sable pushed Dexter's hand away and ran a hand through his hair. "I have a cowlick," he said, a bit sensitve on that subject. He really hated that little sprig of hair....

Claire nodded a bit, relieved. "That's.. good..."
Dexters eyes got really wide, "You have.. a cowlick? You mean like... a cow licked.. your head?!" Dexter stared at Sable.

Gwen smiled at Claire, then looked at the line again.
Sable got quiet. "But.. of course. It's a sign of good fortune. How do you think girl's get pig tails?" He nodded a bit. "They cut off pig's tails and put them in their hair."

Claire tapped her foot a bit. She was getting impatient.. which was pretty rae for her. But it smelled SOOO GOOD....
Dexter's eyes widened, "R-really?" He asked, stunned at that information.

Gwen hoped from foot to foot as they waited.
"Yup. Never trust a girl with pig tails," Sable said, noting in his mind that his younger sisters usually wore there hair in pig tails. He wouldn't be surprised if they took a cleaver to a pig's backside for them, either...

Claire looked at the line. There was only about two more people ahead of them before they reached the brick room...
Dexter nodded quickly, "Okay, I'll keep that in mind.." He said.

Gwen hopped back and forth between her foot still, watch as the room grew closer. She hated waiting in line...
Sable stepped into the kitchen area of the cafeteria and started to order his food. You could always tell who was a freshman by how much fascination they put into the kitchen. To Sable, it was the same show they put on every day last year.. and it really wasn't that interesting..

~

Claire really wished the people ahead of her would move..
Dexter followed Sable. He scrunched his nose a bit at the sight of the food.

Gwen stood up on her toes, "I wonder whats taking so long.." She mummbled. then she rocked back onto her heels.
Sable picked up a light green salad mixed with tomatoes and spinach topped with a light citrus vinegar sauce. Setting it on his tray, he had to laugh at Dexter's face a bit. Scooting down more, his eyes widened as he spotted today's desert...
Cookies.

Claire stared at Gwen with wide, frightened eyes. "What if.. They ran out of food..?" she asked nervously. She watched as someone walked past carrying a large slice of pizza and heard her stomach growl. "Pizza..." she said quietly.
Dexter set the tray down, picking up a completely random dinner. He had no idea what any of it was called. For human food, it looked.. okay.. but the smell was already making him a bit nausous.

Gwen laughed a bit, "Don't worry Claire... I'm positive that there will be PLENTY.. its magic school! They won't run out of food!"
Without any thought, Sable reached down and put about 3 cookies on his tray. Staring down at the pile, he couldn't understand why.. he hated sweets. They made people fat. But he also couldn't find it in himself to put them up.. so out he went with cookies on his tray...

"I hope so.." Claire mumbled sadly, her voice cracking a bit. What could be worse than being one person away from the front and running out of food?
