Claire jumped a bit at the voice. She hadn't expected to see him again so soon. She smiled awkwardly back at Dexter. "Uhh.. I got it..." she said, her face turned red now with effort. She paused for a moment to take a break. Maybe she should have packed a little lighter.. still, this was all the stuff she was going to have for a whole YEAR! She frowned a bit at her suitcase, wondering how she could make it move... Normally it wouldn't have been a problem.. but she hadn't recharged in a while...
~

The boat docked.

Sable grabbed his bags- a simple suitcase and a laptop bag- and made his way for the front of the boat. He stood back a bit and waited for the frenzy of people rushing to get off the boat to subside. He shook his head. Had he of been one year younger- that might have been him. But he knew this school to well to do anything... stupid...

Dexter smiled a bit, holding in a small laugh, "Are you sure?" He asked.

~*~

Claire stayed at the back of the crowd, not wanting to get run over.

"Well.. maybe just a little.." Claire mumbled. She looked up at Dexter and immediately bit her tongue. "Oh.. but you already have your bags.. so it's ok..."
~

Sable watched. Waiting was so dreadfully boring.. but it was better then getting killed by some oaf the size of an elephant. See, Sable was tall and had muscles but he was very slim in build. He had more of a bishonen*-type appearance.

*He'd learned that word from his dad. He found it suiting.

Dexter smiled a bit, "Its okay.." He said, He reached down, picking up Claire's bag. "See.." He said, looking at her. "Oh... by the way.. do you know where your room is?" Dexter asked.

~*~

Gwen carryed her bags. She had managed, some how, to get to the front of the ship, and was now one of the few that were off the boat first.

Claire still didn't seem entirely ok with it, but she tried to just accept it.. As she made her way down the hall, she shook her head no. "I'm not sure what my room is yet.. I suppose I'll have to go to the main office and find out. Do you know yours?"

Most of the peopel had already stampeded off the ship.

~

Sable waited until almost everyone was gone before he made his way to the shore. He glanced about and breathed in that familiar, school air. The summer vacation was nice, but he was glad to be back in school where he'd belonged...

Dexter nodded, "Yeah... " He said. He walked with Claire off the ship, dragging his suit case behind him, and carrying her back. "But.. i don't know which way it is....." He said, "Do you happen to know where the office is?"
~*~

Gwen opened up a folded sheet of paper. She followed the directions on it to get to her room.

They stepped off the ship.

Claire bit her lip. "Uhhhm....." She looked about the couryard. "I.. don't know.. I guess we should find a tea-"

Suddenly, a young man, dressed in a suit and thick sunglasses, strolled over to them and shook her hand. "Hi there, miss! Welcome to our school. I'm your counselor. If you need anything just ask."

"-cher..." Claire finished quitely. "Uhm... yes.. we need to know which way to the main office..."

"Ahhh~ It's right inside- practically the first thing you see. Just follow the signs abd you'll be there- we always keep them up the first week~!" He had the sort of plastic smile you'd see on a politician.

"Thanks..." Claire said. Just looking at him made her out of breath.

"Just feel free to come in!" He lowered his shades and looked at both of them with red eyes. "REALLY.. feel free." He winked as though they'd get the idea.

~

Sable stared down at his rooms card key. "Let's see.." he said aloud, "Boy's Dorms, 2nd floor, room 409..."
He dragged his small amount of possesion toward his rooms, occasionaly stopping to smile at the random girl passing by. One even fainted.

Dexter nodded to the creepy teacher guy. Then followed Claire into the school. He shifter her bag in his hand, looking around.

Claire looked about the school. It was huge and prestegious and magnificent and.. and.. scary. She glanced about nervously in the incredibly overcrowded front halls. She followed the signs to the front office before turning to Dexter. "Thanks for carrying my stuff.. I'm sorry for the trouble... you can just leave it here and go on ahead, since you already know where your room is..."

Dexter nodded, "Are you sure?" he asked, looking at Claire. He set down her bag where she had asked him too.

Claire nodded uneasily. "Sure.. It'll be fine.. I'll just..." she trailed off and tucked some hair behind her ears. Suddenly, she was hopping for a room on the ground floor...

"Okay.." He said, he smiled, "I'll see you around..." He said. Dexter turned to walk down the hallway, to look for his own room.

"See ya.." Claire said quietly. She turned and opened the door to the office..

Several people came falling out. The place was crammed with ar least 40 shouting teenagers and was much like a sardine can. She shivered a bit. It would be a long morning...

~

Sable stopped in front of his room door and took a breath. This was it.. another year was already beginning.. He slid in his card key and pondered only for a moment who his roommate would be. He didn't care.. as long as it wasn't a freshman.

Dexter pulled his suit case along behind him. He was slightly hopeing for a room alone. He looked at the door numbers, looking for his.

Even in the flow of time, we have forgotten how to forget.
Sable stepped inside and immediately went for the bed near the window... because.. that was the cool one. Always.
He set down his stuff and slowly began unpacking it into the drawers, taking careful consideration to make sure everything was folded neatly still.. He brushed a few stray feathers aside. They always seemed to end up in his suitcase...

"Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling. "
