If Gwen's jaw could have dropped anymore it would have fallen off. She knew Claire had to be somewhat abnormal (otherwise, she wouldn't have gotten into the school, duh), but, she was tiny!

"Uhm... C..Claire..... How are you lifting that?" Gwen asked nervously, following her friend slowly. She was still pretty much in shock about what she had just wittnessed.

Dexter was still in the Secret Place. He had, of course, curled up into the thick, green grass and fallen asleep.
"Hm?" Claire asked glancing over her shoulder. She then felt herself flush- Gwen didn't know who she was yet. "O-oh... Well you know.." She set the rock down in it's planned spot before continuing, "I-it's not.. THAT heavy or anything..."
Gwen put her hand on her hip, "Uh-huh, If you say so. Even if it were 'light', Your arms are almost as thin as twigs. I know that rock is atleast heavier then you are..." Oh how wrong Gwen was. Very wrong indeed. "Anyways, I'm not going to press for details, I mean, I know there is SOMETHING wrong with you, otherwise, you wouldn't be here, right?" She smiled.
Claire was a little more than a little hurt by Gwen's statement. Looking away, she said quietly, "There's nothing... wrong with me.. I'm just.. different than most people..." She knew Gwen didn't mean anything by it, but it still upset her...
Gwen looked at Claire, "OH! I didn't mean it like THAT!" She said. "I just ment... there was something different... and, not, you know..." She brought up her hands and made air quotes, " 'normal'... but normal is over rated. And I'll beat up anyone that says you are too different, kay!" Gwen smiled again. yes. She was always looking for a fight. We'll just have to get used to that.
Claire laughed a bit at that. It was good to know that Gwen always had her back.. but did she always have to try and fight everything? (See above answer.) Moving around the rock, she crawled under the vine entrance. "Dexter~!" she called. "We're back!"
Dexter rolled over, curling up even more into the grass. He mummbled something that sounded something along the lines of "5 more minutes please...".

Gwen waited a few seconds before following after Claire, she didn't want to run into her or anything. And haveing the rock at the entrence had its pros and cons.

Pro, nobody could find the entrence except for them.

Con, less room to move around the tangled mess of vines.
Con, Gwen had long, curly hair.
Con, Her hair was tangled in with the vines.

Painful, not really.
Uncomfortable, yes.
Claire smiled and walked over to the sleeping Dexter. "Time to get up.." she said softly. She gently shook him, trying to get him to wake up.

At this point, she was unaware of Gwen's.. problem.
Dexter rolled onto his back, then sat up, rubbing his eyes. He yawned, "How long was I asleep for?" He mummbled. Dexter looked up at Claire. It would be worth pointing out that when Dexter sleeps, the magic that keeps him looking 'normal' fades slowly. So as he looked up at her, his eyes were teal, instead of their normal brown.

Gwen on the other hand, was standing halfway around the rock, trying to untangle her hair. Of course, it's Gwen we are talking about, she didn't want to ask for help.
Claire felt herself jump back a little in shock. "Uhm..." she began, distracted from Dexter's question. "Uhh... you uhmm..."
Finally she broke. "Your eyes are... like a... blue-green..." Having a photographic memory, she was FAIRLY certain that they used to be brown.
Dexter blinked, "What?" He was momentarily confused. "Oh... yeah... Uhm.. That's my natural eye color..." he said. As he blinked a few more times, his eyes turned back brown. "I just make them appear brown.. cause... I like brown eyes... " He smiled.

Gwen was now currently yanking on the vines, having given up on trying to untangle her hair and decided to just rip down the said vines that were stuck in her hair.
"Oh well that's- huh?" Claire turned around, hearing the vines swishing as they rubbed against each other. "Gwen.. do you need some help?" she asked her friend.
Gwen sighed, "My hair got stuck, and i think i made it worse..." She said. She stopped tugging at the vines, "Help would be nice, i guess...." She said.

Dexter looked over at where Gwen was, he couldn't see her because the rock blocked his view from where he was sitting on the ground, so he could only imagine Gwen's hair stuck in the vines.
"I'm coming!" Claire called, and she stood and crawled to where she could get to Gwen. "Hold still," she said as she changed her index finger into a knife. "I'm going to cut the vine so you can get it out from there.." Just as she said, Claire grasped hold of the vines that were attached to Gwen's hair and cut them off in quick slices.
"Oh! Just don't cut my hair!!" Gwen said quickly, going unearthly still. Of course she didn't want her hair to cut, even if it were a small lock. It took her forever to grow it out this long! She had her eyes closed tightly untill she felt the pressure of the vines release. She sighed, "Thanks, Claire!" Gwen smiled widely.

She was still under the impression that Claire carried a pocket knife... although now it wasn't supported by the assumtion that Claire used it for self defence in 'just in case' situations (since gwen had seen her lift that rock, she was pretty sure Claire could win in a fight).
