Jean bit his lip and fell silent.

[Princess Noshwash]

"...I'm fine here," he returned after a short while, feeling bad but not having the courage to apologise, or rather to admit he was out of place.

[Teddy Bearr x3]

"...I'll bring you some blankets," was all he said before leaving the room.

[Princess Noshwash]

Roy listened to the man leave then closed his eyes. "...I'm an idiot."

[Teddy Bearr x3]

The blonde returned a few minutes later with some blankets for the man.

[Princess Noshwash]

Roy didn't look up when the man returned but spoke to him. "Would you prefer...me to go home?"

[Teddy Bearr x3]

"It doesn't matter," Jean said softly. "You're my friend, Roy. I just want to help."

[Princess Noshwash]

Roy said nothing more but lifted his head to look at the man a moment before resting it again.

[Teddy Bearr x3]

Jean sighed. "There's a bathroom down the hall if you need it. There are fresh towels in it and everything."

[Princess Noshwash]

Roy muttered something into the seat which sounded akin to a "thanks."

[Teddy Bearr x3]

Jean sighed heavily and placed the blankets down on the couch. "G'night," he said quietly before leaving.

The blankets Jean had left were untouched and the sofa empty. Roy was sat asleep at the kitchen table, an empty bottle of vodka in his left hand and a burn mark on his right.

((Burn from what?))

Jean sighed as he came downstairs to check on Roy. He frowned when he didn't see the man on the couch, then went to check the kitchen.
