Jean blinked. "Is something funny?"

[Princess Noshwash]

"No, 's just that Maes is an idiot...he doesn't realise just how amazin' he is."

Jean smiled sadly and looked up at the older man.

[Princess Noshwash]

Roy sighed wistfully and rolled his head to lean it on the window, thunking it hard on the glass.

"Are you alright?"

[Princess Noshwash]

Roy merely grunted in response.

[Teddy Bearr x3]

Jean sighed heavily. "Why did you want me to take you home and not Maes?"

[Princess Noshwash]

"'Cause Maes'd just lecture me...an' I wanted to ask what you felt for him," he answered.

[Teddy Bearr x3]

Jean sighed heavily. "Roy, can I ask you something?"

[Princess Noshwash]

"Mmm," was all he grunted, though it sounded vaguely affirmative.

"Why did you guys break up?"

[Princess Noshwash]

Silence ensued for a while following the man's question, but after that, Roy eventually muttered two words very quietly. "...The war..."

"Oh..."

[Princess Noshwash]

"...I didn'...I didn' wanna upset 'im if I died...so...then...after...I thought he wouldn' want me again."

Jean sighed as he stopped at a red light. "I see..."
