"Just wondering," he laughed. "Salads are always what women eat when they're on diets, is all."

Jean bit his lip and put the fork down. "Sorry," he mumbled with a faint blush.

[Princess Noshwash]

"Ah! No! I didn't mean anything by it! You eat what you want! To be honest, I need to cut down on the red meat and could stand to eat healthier myself!" Maes waved his hands frantically in dismissal of what he'd previously said then scratched the back of his head. "I'm sorry."

The blonde glanced up at Maes shyly. "I wasn't lying when I said that women find me to feminine," he sighed.

[Princess Noshwash]

Maes smiled sympathetically. "You should be who you are, Jean. There are people who will appreciate you for who you are: your genuine self."

Jean smiled weakly. "...Like you?"

Maes chuckled. "I'm still here eating breakfast with you, aren't I? Or is it brunch now?"

Jean chuckled lightly. "Probably brunch, by now."

Maes took another bite from his food and chuckled lightly. "'Brunch'...It sounds fancy."

Jean smirked. "Yeah, it does."

"Too fancy for me," Maes added with another laugh and a smile.

Jean smiled happily. "Same."
