The younger man smiled and began playing with Maes' feet.

Maes chuckled then ordered his food then watched as the woman made note on a small note pad then turned for Jean to order.

Jean chuckled and ordered his own food.

The woman made note of this then left the two men again. Maes directed a smile at Jean then a content sigh.

[Teddy Bearr x3]

The blonde blushed when he noticed Maes' gaze on him. "Is something the matter?"

[Princess Noshwash]

((Just remembered Maes hasn't got glasses so he wouldn't have been able to read the menu xD))

Maes shook his head then chuckled. "I was just thinking how I don't actually know you that well. I mean, we've not really ever had a proper conversation, have we?"

Jean sighed heavily. "No, I don't think so..."

Maes smiled. "So...," he began but ended with an awkward blank.

"...How did you meet the colonel?"

[Princess Noshwash]

Maes looked to the blonde man and smiled fondly. "We met in academy. We were in a lot of the same classes and happened to share a dorm room, too. What about you: how'd you meet Roy?"

"In Ishbal," the blonde sighed.

[Princess Noshwash]

Maes sighed then nodded. "Right...Were you in his squad?"

[Teddy Bearr x3]

Jean shook his head slightly. "I was in Archer's."

[Princess Noshwash]

"Archer...The name rings a bell," Maes said pensively.

[Teddy Bearr x3]

"Frank Archer. Cold b*****d with blue eyes and pale skin."
