Maes' smile faded and he watched the man considerately before walking on in silence.

"...Do you?" Jean asked after a few minutes had passed.

Maes sighed heavily. "...No. Because he's happy now, right? Who's to say he would still be that happy?"

The blonde smiled sadly and took his hand.

Maes smiled and squeezed it but then let go. "Sorry, but I'm not sure we should be acting that way in public..."

Jean sighed lightly. "I know..."

Maes sighed and opened the door to a cafe then held it for Jean after he entered.

"Thanks," he smiled.

"No problem," Maes returned and smiled before going to a table in the corner.

Jean's smile widened as he followed the man.

Maes sat and looked at the menu sheet.

Maes smiled. "Decided?"

"Yep," Maes smiled as a waitress approached their table and smiled.
