"Not...not really," he said quietly, fiddling with the empty glass in his hands.

"...Did you like her?"

Jean chuckled lightly and smiled weakly at the glass. "It's nothing like that," he said quietly. "It's just... It seems like that'll never be me. Every woman I've been with thinks I'm either too clingy or too feminine..."

Maes nodded slightly, and though while he wanted to question the feminine part, he thought best of it. "So you came to drown your sorrows here"?

Jean sighed and nodded, staring at the glass with his half-lidded coral blue eyes.

Maes sighed. "I'll buy the next round," he said before doing such. When the drinks arrived, he stared into the new glass. "The world can be a lonely place..."

Jean smiled gently. "Want to talk about it?"

"There's not really anything to talk about...I'm envious of their marriage, I'll admit that much," Maes said quietly before drinking from his glass.

"Why's that?"

[Princess Noshwash]

"...Because it's what I want," he said quietly and smiled. "...Don't we all want that happiness?"

Jean smiled sadly and nodded. "Yeah..."

Maes nodded silently in agreement. "...It was a nice ceremony though, right?"

"It was."

"And Riza made a beautiful blushing bride."

The blonde smiled weakly and nodded. "It's so strange to see the tomboy I knew in the academy act like that," he said quietly.
