Konai merely nodded and walked back over to Mina. He nuzzled his face into her side wearily, though he hadnt been walking for long. He really wasnt that tired, he honestly just wanted to save the remainder of his energy so he could play soccer.

Gururu straightened. "Fine, fine." She waved her hand as if to dismiss the conversation. "I'll join you." She glanced at Konai and winked. "But its a contest. The person who catches the most fish gets the biggest bed tonight. And whoever catches the least sleeps outside."

Zaine shook his head. "I dont see how everyone could get there. We need to figure out this island so we can figure out a way to get off of it. Im sure it will only be a few more days before we can escape this new hell hole." Zaine dragged Leight along until he reached the shore.

Rose blinked at all the questioning. "Maybe twenty or some odd miles. Not far at all really. What lives under the sea..? Your average shark, clown fish.. oh and the occassional sea serpent." She grinned. "I suspect one of those played a role in the crashing of my ship. Urban legends say that sea serpents can summon a storm when its least expected." She explained, waving her hand around. "People..? Of course there is people. Why do you think Renny is so terrified of this island? The monsters and ghouls are normal anywhere you go.. but the people who live on this island are dangerous in whole other ways. Some say that they plant their seeds into young females to carry on their race because most of the inhabitants are male. But then again, ive only heard of one such case." She winked. "I am your personal hell spawn."

(( I have no clue what Rose just said >-< ))

Grey blinked. "Is that quite fair? Considering we are the strongest after all," Grey replied, thinking about it. Although it sounds like a fun challenge and all, was it worth it if two of them had a greater advantage? He shook his head to clear away the thought.

"Is that a good thing? I mean, this island have some pretty cool things. We should stay here, considering that there are more people to play with. I don't want to go back to that one confusing place. And if we get a chance, I would rather go back to the other place." He stopped there, as to say he talked too much. He just let himself be dragged quietly.

"Meaning?" Niet said, not really getting what Rose meant. For once, he actually looked confused. He don't really talk with girls, especially girls that are pirates.

Gururu blinked. "Of course it is fair." she said, as if Grey seemed mental. "Konai can control minds, after all. Dont think that only works on humans and demons. And Mina can make reverse force fields. Meaning she can trap the fish in a certain area. So if you look at it considering everyone's powers, both of us are probably the weakest links. What with my utter fear of water and your basically useless power."

Zaine glanced back as he walked, slowing in step until he came to a hault. He blinked and his lips were in a straight line. "Its okay to want to go home." He told Leight in his old, gentle voice. "That is where your family is, after all. Its where we belong. Here, we hardly know ourselves, but there, we were exactly as we feel now. And I do admit this is a pretty fascinating island, but if we're ever to get a chance to go home, im pretty sure it wouldnt be on an uninhabited island."

(( ill explain ))

Rose sighed and placed a thin hand on her face. "Considering your age, I would expect you to know how babies are made." She could hear Ren laughing from afar. "It means that my mother was a simple 'maiden' and my father, well.. was one of the creepers who live on this island. Maybe the word for them that would ring a bell is incubus." She sighed again and lowered her hands. "The incubi need succubi, overly seductive females, to carry on their race. When they run low on their own race, they look to the nearest race; Human, elf, demon. You dont think I got my goodlooks from nowhere, do you? Can you not hear it in my voice?" she said, using an odd voice that succubi use to sooth their victims into compliance, though she stopped as soon as she mentioned it.

(( do you get it now? ))

(( Sorta...though I have no clue what is incubbi or succubi ))

"Well, if you put it that way, then I guess it's fine." Grey said, thinking it over. He looked over to Mina and Konai. "Hey, you guys up for it? We can play soccer afterwards," He said, walking over to Konai and picking him up. Seriously, if Konai was this tired Grey wouldn't have said anything about soccer, but soccer relieves stress and thats the best part. Plus the part where it's fun.

"Hmph, I never said anything about family," Leight said, immediately letting himself fall into a deeper silence. He didn't like anybody talking about family, even if it was something good or bad. So he kept to himself, putting almost an invisible icy barrier full of tension around him.

Niet just pulled off a blank and clueless look. "Back to the subject, where is the nearest island and how far is it?" He easily got back his normal look, the one that was intimidating to people, but also nice in a way. Of course, if you really look at him closely, you can tell his blank and clueless look was still there.

Konai laid his head on Grey's shoulder. "Dont worry, i wont get too tired. I still want to play." He assured, fiddling with his own hair. "Maybe the fishy game will go by fast so we can play sooner."

Gururu had walked off towards water. "At this rate, Ill surely win. What with your head in the clouds and everything." She laughed, waving a hand in dismissal of the conversation. She reached the water and crouched down, letting her eyes turn to a bloody red tint.

Zaine's lips were slightly open, but he pressed him shut. "Leight.." He said in a nearly inaudible tone. "I dont know what to do with you anymore. Everytime somebody tries or wants to help you, you just push them away and the next day you seem even more depressed. And whether you like it or not, Yvonne and your mother are still your family. And Im very sure that Yvonne is worried sick over you. She's probably crying at this very moment. What would she say if she had heard you just then? With that 'I dont care about my family' tone of yours?"

"The nearest island is Queir Island. It is about three miles away. It might be the easiest place to get to." Rose explained, curiousity evident in her tone. "But why did you have such interest in the people of this island?" She asked, reading him like a book.

"If you say so, come on," He said, leading Mina and carrying Konai over to the water. He placed Konai down. "Let's do this!" He said enthusiastically and pointed a finger on the water, raising it up as the earth came up at the same time. But he didn't realize there was a problem, being that fish can hop back to the water. And the other side, there was an angry sea snake on the earth that Grey had so happily picked up.

"I didn't say anything about not caring about them," Leight said, letting all his emotions locked away in a little box. "Let's just do this so we can go back home." He shook his hand free and started walking away. He hated Zaine for bringing up the topic of family, but then he couldn't deny the truth either.

Niet sighed. "Someone just lost their you know what. Now if you don't mind me asking, do you have a map of the place? And which direction is it?"

Konai laughed at the snake and crouched by the water, focusing at a few fish at one time. They swam to him happily and all he had to do was reach in and grab them. "I have three." He counted. Being young he had to use his fingers to count.

Mina sat on her knees at the lakebed, flicking her hands to create a barrier, which trapped numerous fish in a desired area. She merely raised her hands and drew the spherical, invisable barrier from the water, setting the fish aside.

Zaine simply followed slowly. "I didnt say anything about you not caring either. I know you do, its obvious. Its written right on your back, everything. But in your head you believe that its kept away, safe from everyone. But the truth is Leight, we all want to go home for some reason or another. And it isnt illegal or wrong to hate this place, or feel sad sometimes. Actually, its kind of weird when you dont get a little sad every once in a while."

Rose blinked, taking a moment to put the pieces together. Once she had solved the puzzle, she kept her mouth shut about the topic. "Oh, I see." Was all she said to Niet's first statement. "Yes, I have a map." Rose added, drawing a folded piece of worn paper from her shirt. She unraveled it and laid it out on what used to be a tree, but was now only a stump. "Its west of Skell Island. You can see a little portion of it at the edge of the enlarged map of this place. See, i told you it was the closest to us."

Grey quickly let the earth sink back down, and sighed. "I guess it's time to do it the hard way..." He jumped into the water, scaring most of the fish away, but he caught one. "I got one!!" He said happily. For a second, he almost seemed like one of those kids that are proud that they found the answer to 1+2.

Leight merely just continued walking, letting his mind lock itself up so that he didn't have to think. "..."

Niet blinked. "Is there anyone that lives there? Like, people who can build ships and other things that floats on water well? If there is, then maybe Leight and Mina, maybe Saffie too can go. That should be enough people. Maybe I'll send someone like kimchii who likes water to go too."

Gururu took a deep breath, letting her long sharp claw-like nails grow out. She swooped her hand down into the water and drew out a decently sized fish. Of course she had to do it the violent way, so she personally bit the head off the fish. No body likes eyeballs in their meal. She threw the fish aside to swoop in for another and Mina and Konai went about their original plans.

Zaine lifted his head up and turned it slightly, though his eyes remained on Leight. "For a boy who hates being in the crew and who hates working and using your power, you seem pretty damn determined to get to work immediatly. You were reluctant to even follow me. That, Leight, is a dead give-away." From then on, he was silent and simply stared ahead of him. He got a clear view of the ocean where the breeze tussled his blonde hair, causing it to smack at his face.

Rose placed a thin hand on the side of her face, propping her elbow on the stump. She nodded briefly and paused for a long moment. "Yes.. they are a sea-peoples after all. That is how they earn their goods, by trading. I suppose they are pirates too. Its where I usually go to get information on prices and the best places to ransack. If weather permits, that is." She glanced up at Niet, using the exact same, neutral, velvetty tone. "I dont recall you being announced as the leader of your little crew. In fact, I distinctly remember Miss Henemaru taking the lead. I dont understand how an underseerer could possibly command people to go places. Most surprising is that you actually plan to send, or command as I had said, the crew captain to join the younger ones."

Grey, who had watched the whole ripping-the-head-off-the-body process, stared at Gururu. "You just had to do that?" He asked, imagining the fish to be a person. He shivered. What a horrible imagination he had. He shook his head. This had to be one of the weirdest way of killing a fish.

After a while of walking, they were pretty far away from the camp site. Leight stopped and pointed at a pretty big tree. "We should stop for now. It's going to rain soon." Walking over to the big tree, he sat on one side at the foot of the tree. "It might be a big downpour."

Niet sighed. He knew this was coming. "Well, I see. I seem to have forgotten it was Kimchii's job. I'll give the leadership back to her." He said. This wasn't a big deal for him at all, he follows instructions almost as well as he gives them.

Gururu spit another fish head out of her mouth when her eyes met Grey's. "Its a quick death rather than dying from loss of water. Thats like somebody drowning rather than getting shot in the head. Unexpected and quick." She said, continuing her plan.

Zaine glanced up at the sky. "Yeah.. I guess you are right." he sat down under the shade of the trees and bent one leg, resting his elbow on his knee. "So we should just hang out here for a little while."

Rose sighed as well. "I see why young Miss Henemaru gets so frustrated to often. Being under the stress of being the leader, and being madly in love without the proof that their partner loves them back can be quite a psychiatric lowblow to a fifteen year old girl. You are a cold boy, Niet."

"I guess that works if you put it that way..." Grey sighed. He looked up. The clouds were just getting dark and heavy. "And it was so nice too..." He shook his head. "Guys, we should go in," He said, standing up strait. "We can do this later, it looks like it's going to rain and I need to put the shelter back under the ground so that it doesn't wash away."

Leight let himself relax a bit. "I guess. Or we can go back to the camping place and try to make it in time. It's your choice since you are bigger than me."

"Cold?" He looked at her. "That's quite a strong word you are using there, Rose. Care to explain?" He said, pushing a strand of hair away from his eye. He casually put his hands in his pocket, letting his eyes wander around. It wasn't the first time he was called, 'cold', and it probably won't be his last either.

Gururu nodded. "Come on, Konai." She ordered, collecting their fish and putting it a single pile before collecting her brother into her arms. "Grey, carry the fish?" She asked, bouncing her brother on the hip.

Zaine glanced at Leight. "Do you think we'd make it in time? Im sure Saffie could dry us off if we get soaked on our way back." He said in a serious tone, though he was sure Leight would oppose the drying option.

Rose sighed and looked off. "You just dont portray your emotions unless its frustration or anger. I understand your emblem, the emblem of darkness, but why act that way towards the people you love. If, of course, you love them. How is it fair for young Miss Henemaru? How long has it been since you sat down and talked with her? Since you told her how you feel about her, or let her vent about something or even, how long has it been since you have discussed what you feel about a topic?"

Grey blinked. What was this? Giving him the work now? Of course, it wasn't like he didn't expect it...but still... With a nod and a sigh, he picked up some of the fish, making a person made out of earth pick up the rest. He looked over at Mina. "Need a ride? I can carry you," He said, even if he doesn't know his own limit.

"I wouldn't think we'd make it in time. But Grey can do wonders with the shelter, so we don't need to worry about that. If you want to go, then let's go already." Leight replied. It's not like he minded the rain.

"Good question. I let Kimchii do what she wants, whenever she's ready." Niet replied simply. "Can I use this map?"

Mina smiled, appreciating the offer but politely declining. "It's fine, Im a bit more capable than I look." She nodded as Gururu took off towards the shelter, feeling the first of the raindrops. "Like I said.." She glanced at Grey again, "Im not your usual eleven year old." And with those parting words, she copied Gururu and ran off, surprisingly fast for a girl of her stature.

Zaine shrugged. "Im sure we'll be fine." He nodded. "Fly ahead until it starts pouring, we wouldnt want your wings to wear out." He said before quickly standing and heading off towards the shelter, flinging dirt behind him as he went.

Rose opened up her palm and caught a raindrop. "I see. I wonder if she realizes that fact." She said, glancing up at Niet as Ren leapt from a tree branch, sloshing mud around her feet. Rose nodded and handed the map towards Niet. "If you or young Miss Henemaru have any questions, dont hesitate to ask." She said, standing and heading inside, closely followed by Ren.
