                                                  Near the mountian lies a school for gifted martial arts students. These students train and every so often they participate in an competition to see which school gets the rights to accept new members the following year. This year however, an evil has return to Earth. From the future. To save our timeline, one student from each of the five ninja schools across the globe send a student to be on an team to fight what ever Evil tries to invade earth. And be earths defenders...

                                                  That was the warning they received nearly three months ago. Kendra found herself picked by the head of her school to represent the school of water. She had the ability with a couple others to control the element. Real control. What was this danger that was coming to Earth? She sat on the plane looking out the window. It had been so long since she had been in an airplane. England was her home and she lived about two hours outside of London. The small town she lived in was called Bristol. It was one of those places where everyone knew everyone.

                                                  When she was younger, Kendra had been handpicked to train at the school for some destiny that she was to fulfill when the time was right. She had fallen asleep on the plane when she felt someone rub her shoulder. She woke up, "Yes?"she wondered as she looked to who the person was. It was the flight attendant.

                                                  "Miss, I wish to inform you that we have landed at New York International Airport. "She added. Lana looked around and she nodded. "Thank you "She said getting her things and her bags and walked off the plane. Moving over to the monitor she looked to see which gate her plane to virgina was. Yesterday she had left in light, and now she arrived in the dead of night. It was 4 am in the morning.

                                                  Getting to her plane, she sat through another hour and half flight before they landed. Exhausted she got up and went to the baggage claim and collected her suitcase and found a sign with her name on it. The man was about her age but had a red shirt on and black jacket. It was a quiet drive to the ridge which lasted about two hours. Then she heard they were going to have to hike the rest of the way on foot. About a 20 mile trail to the location she was supposed to , "You have got to be joking. I have been on a bloody plane for nearly 13 hours. And there's a time change..and you expect me to wander off into a wood I know nothing about?Plus carrying suitcases..."

                                                                                  ///THE FIRE ELEMENTAL///THE FIRE ELEMENTAL
                                                                                  ///THE FIRE ELEMENTAL///THE FIRE ELEMENTAL
                                                                                  ///THE FIRE ELEMENTAL///THE FIRE ELEMENTAL

                                                                                      Perhaps he was lucky. Brad was lucky. He didn't have to move around a lot just to get to the place he needed to be. Three months ago, he had been notified that he would join the Earth Defenders. It had taken him by surprise, actually. He was one of the more skilled fire benders, but there was his friend and rival, Morley. Morley always got the stuff that they both wanted. Everyone seemed to notice him first. It had always been like that. Why was he being noticed just now? And for something so much bigger than he could even begin to imagine.

                                                                                      He had tried to question his leaders, to give up his position, but they wouldn't budge so much to even say a word. After a month of all this begging and attempts to dig around, Brad was still left in the dark. He accepted his position. Perhaps someone would tell him. Sooner rather than later, he hoped.

                                                                                      And so upon this day, the day he had trained for, he was told that the others were coming. He had to go pick them up. They were coming in from all over the place so they would be flying here. His leaders told him that he had to drive out to the airport. Then... He would abandon the car at the woods. They didn't say why this had to be. The car was normal, the type they often used. Besides, no one else would be coming with him, not anyone who didn't know of his world anyway.

                                                                                      Brad had changed into a new set of clothes; a red shirt, black pants, gym shoes, and a light black jacket. He made sure he had his license (fake of course) and money for the ride. He jumped into the van and began to drive. It took a while before he got to the airport. It was around 2:30 when he got there; nearly two hours, it took him. One of the others had already arrived--the steel bender to be exact; said they hadn't gotten here long ago. He was just thankful that Earth and Air came in with Water coming in last. What he a previously thought to be boring activity had turned into an exciting one.. and well..

                                                                                      "Babe, relax." Brad had to refrain from glaring at the blonde. He, however, had been rather unlucky in hiding the annoyance in his voice.

                                                                                      She had actually seemed hot when he first saw her coming out from the plane. She was exactly his type. He should have known that she was not one of those girls who followed the rules. At least not willingly. Why had her leaders sent her here? Surely they must have known that one of the big keys to being an ED was cooperation. He turned to the others and nodded to them. "Twenty miles is not that far. We'll be there in no time." In the back of his mind he knew that twenty miles was probably not normal to the others; soon it would not matter, they had their new job. As he understood it, it would be a physically demanding one.

                                                                                      "Come on." He wanted to just run, it would be faster that way, but instead he turned and on his heel and began to walk. And in long strides.

                                                  David the ED of Air smirked to Brad as they had been friends before this. Well penpals anyways. His school was in the mountians that you had to either climb or use the natural ability of flight to get there. He looked to Brad as he had been there for a few days already and he smiled. "See you there"He said as he flew away towards the Dojo.

                                            Kendra looked at Brad as he was up ahead of him and she looked up as she saw another ED member fly over them . "Show Off..."She muttered as she looked downward. Catching up to brad, she put her backpacking backpack over her shoulders and looked at him. "Look, Brad..I know we got off to a bad start at the airport...I have...its just been a long day...I flew over 3,000 miles to get here...."she added pausing. "And I haven't slept in two days. Not well anyways."She finished sighing

                                                    Born to interracial parents in the hot weather of Africa, Uzo was raised to be a normal daughter. That was, until it was discovered that she had abilities. Occult abilities. An ability that would leave her parents asking if she should stay and bring them wealth, or to go and master her element several hundred miles away. Their greed forced them to keep her swinging in between them. Things were okay... until... an accident happened. One that hurt her mother, one that allowed too many people to find out about this occult ability.

                                                    Alas, she was sent off to the school several hundred miles away.

                                                    Uzo shook her head, her attention on Kendra. She let out a stiff chuckle. Though walking next to her with her backpack slung of her shoulders, she kept her face forward. "Have we not slept at all." She muttered to herself.

                                                                                      That was really fast. Kendra calmed down. He had expected her to go on a full rampage, one that would only give them less time to get to the academy.

                                                                                      He retorted to David's move by silently cursing, calling him a stupid-head for throwing his element in their faces. And... so much for staying together. Brad stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets, he only took them out to duck under fallen logs and to push branches out of his way.

                                                                                      "Hey Lexi, Mason!" He called out when they reached the mess halls. They appeared no where finished with their rather late breakfast, but he didn't care. They were new, the underlings as everybody called them. "Take their bags to their rooms, will ya'." He turned to the newcomers and nodded at them, "It's okay. Get your grub. We have a meeting with the council shortly." They were lucky to have gotten here early; after a long night, food was certainly needed to grant them energy for the long day ahead of them.
