Nowadays, classes seemed to be getting duller and duller. After an hour or so
of seemingly pointless classes about finances and maintaining businesses,
Seok Jae honestly just wanted to stab himself in the gut. The only reason
he took those classes was to appease his parents who were set on passing
on the family business to their eldest -- and only son. They had a bright daughter
who would have loved manipulating people to let a business thrive, but there was
no way they'd hand the business off to her. The fact that Seok Jae was simply
allowed to take classes involving art was a gift given to him by his parents who
thought a career involving art or the arts was just a waste of time, even if it
was what Seok Jae really found interest in. However, it seemed that lately even
his art classes were lacking the usual thrill of being the one thing he looked
forward to in life.
Somehow, by some desperate miracle, his parents were able to find a new
house maid. And being a house maid for the Shin family hardly meant cleaning.
It was all about the babysitting. No, not for Seok Jae's younger sister, but for him.
Apparently he was a "handful" or something. So he had a tendency of getting into
trouble a lot and so he had a tendency of wreaking devilish havoc when he was
home alone and bored. That didn't mean they had to hire a babysitting maid for the
twenty year old male. He was more than capable of taking care of himself and since
his parents seemed to enjoy making their son miserable, he decided he could
do the same to them. With every chance he got, he made sure all the help they
hired for him ran off crying. He's managed to make middle aged women scream,
young women cry, and old women nearly pass out from exhaustion.
So his parents stopped hiring people for a few months. Either that or they just
couldn't find anyone else in the area who hasn't heard of him or would be willing
to work for them. But now, after the months of sweet serenity, Seok Jae's parents
managed to dig up someone else. Another victim. This girl was a mere college
student. Actually, they went to the same university which would make Seok Jae's
job much easier. He could torment her both at home and at school. She'd be gone
before forty eight hours were even up, he was sure of that.
Once his last class for the day was finally dismissed and everyone quickly
scrambled for the door and towards their freedom, Seok Jae stretched his arms
up over his head. He's met this girl a few times before and he already made it
quite clear that he didn't like her. Today was his first full day with her, though.
Making his way out of the classroom, Seok Jae exhaled loudly. "Where's my
play toy for the next two days?" Almost as soon as he walked out of the class,
his eyes landed on her. The piteous girl who had to babysit to keep herself
afloat for her university days. "Yah, maid!" he called out, figuring calling
her maid would be better than calling her "babysitter." Making his way over to
the girl with three large strides, Seok Jae plastered that beautifully rehearsed
smile on his face. "If you want to keep your job, I'd suggest suggest making this
afternoon a really interesting one. I've been bored with my classes lately and
I'd like something to keep me going. So first find a nice place for me to eat then
look for some thrilling recreational activity to keep me distracted for the rest of
the day, mmkay?" He said all this relatively quickly, already walking
away and expecting her to follow. However, he made sure to pause for a moment
to look back at her. "Oh, yeah," he smiled at her again and thrust his bag into
her arms, "My back hurts."

It wasn't that Seon Hwa was dumb or anything. The girl was just easily distracted
and somewhat naive. Long story short, she had a deep obsession with all things
cute. It could be babies, dogs, noses, utensils, charms -- anything and everything.
If it was cute, she'd most likely stop everything for a good five minutes just to
admire the object. A lot of people found her annoying, but she tried not to pay too
much attention to what other people thought of her. Why should she care? She
dressed herself in cute things and tried acting "cute" for herself, not for anyone
else. It could be a bit troublesome at times, however, when she'd pay more attention
to her pen than the class going on in front of her. That's why lately she was trying
to cut back on "cutes." She knew at this stage in the game, her education was
incredibly important. She wasn't exactly rich so she couldn't just inherit her parent's
money or anything, she knew she'd have to work. And popularity, unfortunately, did
not pay the bills, else she'd be the money maker of the family.
Today, instead of wearing a big headband with some odd, but totally adorable 3D
object, she wore a plain white headband and a more toned down outfit. She didn't
have strange charms hanging off articles of clothing, but she was still wearing a
dress in the winter weather. And, of course, she was wearing heels higher than
most, since she was so short. While she did think being a short was another
asset of being cute, she sometimes hated her height. Hence the constant
heel wearing, even at sport events -- when she was forced to go. The thing that
sucked for her was that she never felt truly happy when she wasn't completely
decked out to her liking. It was weird but the less random crap she had on,
the more depressed she felt.
As soon as her last class for the day ended, however, she felt a little bit of
life spring back into her. On her way out of the classroom some of the guys
tried asking her why she seemed down, but she casually brushed them off
with a cute apologetic smile. Securing her white, fluffy backpack
straps, she took a deep breath. Normally she would go out and shop, or at
least browse, a bit, but she just wasn't feeling it now. Figuring it'd be best to
just head home, Seon Hwa started heading off campus. There were a number
of different routes she could take to get home. There was the quick route which
cut behind some older stores, the scenic route which included a peek at the dog
park, and then there was the boring route. Today, Seon Hwa figured she could
take the quick route.
Looking around first to make sure there were no creepy men around, she started
heading towards the back of the buildings. It was just a quick path to her little
home not too far off from the campus, but she usually avoided this route. The
gullible girl's heard far too many scary tales of older perverts having a thing for
little cuties much like herself. "You're fine, Seon Hwa. You'll be in and out of
this place in the blink of an eye," she murmured to herself, blinking rapidly.

- College was expensive. Really expensive. Somehow Yeon Mi Jeong was just barely skating by on the skin of her nails. If it wasn't for her various side jobs she would completely be drowning in her own debts. Due to class costs and just general living, she had to take up new jobs often. Between just getting fired because of her eccentric personality and just bad luck when it came down to her skill level of whatever job it was she was doing, she was hardly able to keep a job for very long. Each time, she's determined to make it last, but it never seems to work out. Her latest job? Her employers called it a "maid" job for their son. Too bad it wasn't just cleaning up his messes.
"How could you have agreed to do this?" Mae Ri, Mi Jeong's best friend, stared at her in disbelief.
Mi Jeong shrugged. "I need the money, plus how bad can it really be?" she said, adjusting her book bag over her shoulder. "Plus, he's the same age as I am. How much trouble could he really be?" She was in for a rude awakening if she actually believed the words that were coming from her mouth.
"Mi Jeong you are basically his babysitter." Mae Ri stepped in front of the brunette, stopping her in her tracks. "No normal twenty year old needs a babysitter."
"Well, I guess..." she trailed off, realizing Mae Ri was right. She pressed her palm to her face. She was going to be the babysitter of a grown man, one that probably hated her for taking this job. But there was no way she could lose another job. "Mae Ri I can't fail at this! You've gotta help me." she grabbed her friend's arm and gave her a pleading look.
Mae Ri sighed, and turned around so they could begin walking again. Mi Jeong sighed, and begrudgingly began trailing after the girl. Her technical first day on the job was today, and she was supposed to be meeting him after class here. It wasn't their first introduction, and he wasn't quite fond of her already. Her first goal was to change that. That was going to be a slight problem, as she had no idea how to appease a rich boy with the mentality of a five year old. She'd have to dig deep for some way to figure this out. But before she could even begin thinking, there was a shout from up ahead.
"Yah! Maid!"
She squeezed her eyes shut, no this couldn't be it. She needed more time. Feeling Mae Ri's hand on her shoulder, she sighed before mumbling a goodbye to her friend. She could tell the boy was intimidating her with his quick pace and kind of creepy smile that was painted across his face. It was even terrifying her a bit.
"If you want to keep your job, I'd suggest suggest making this afternoon a really interesting one. I've been bored with my classes lately and I'd like something to keep me going. So first find a nice place for me to eat then look for some thrilling recreational activity to keep me distracted for the rest of the day, mmkay?"
He spoke quickly before turning around and walking away. She gritted her teeth and reluctantly began following before he turned around and threw his book bag at her, before giving her the excuse that his back was aching. She narrowed her eyes at him, before following behind him. She quietly went through her mind as to how much money she had on her at the time, and everywhere she could possibly think of that she could do to fulfill his demands. Jogging slightly to catch up with his pace, she took a deep breath before speaking.
"We can eat at the cafe around the corner, as for 'thrilling recreational activity' you're going to have to explain a little better." she said, already running out of breath having to keep up with him.

- Blankly staring at the professor at the front of the lecture hall, Choi Sang Won could hardly figure out why he had chosen to actually attend class. He wasn't paying any attention, and there were far more interesting things that he could be doing. He scratched the back of his head, before standing up, picking up his bag, and not so stealthily leaving the lecture hall, as the professor watched, mid - sentence. Nobody bothered to stop him, it was obvious that he didn't care about his future academic career. The only thing he cared about was his b-boying. Everything else could wait.
Slipping out the door, he made his way down the hall and eventually out of the building. Adjusting the straps of his bag, he turned the corner to the nearest alleyway and pulled out his phone. Hitting speed dial, he waited for the recipient of the call to pick up. He leaned up against the building, and rested his head against the bricks, closing his eyes for a few moments, but was soon taken out of his spaced out state as his phone was ripped from his hand.
"Choi Sang Won." a rough voice spoke up.
Sang Won opened one eye, and sighed. This meant trouble. "What do you want, Hyun Ri?" he questioned the male standing in front of him.
The dark haired male narrowed his eyes at Sang Won. He cracked his knuckles, his hands wrapped around the still ringing phone. The blonde stood up, raising his eyebrows at the other. "Well?" Sang Won said expecting a reasonable answer for such a rude interruption.
"You know, I want my money." Hyun Ri glared at him.
s**t Sang Won had forgotten all about the money he owed the male. He stared at Hyun Ri for a second, and shrugged nonchalantly. He didn't have the money, and there was no way he would give it to him even if he did have it. Instead of replying, he reached out for his phone. Hyun Ri stared at him for a moment, moving his hand out of his reach. Sang Won sighed, rolling his eyes at the male who was growing more and more impatient with the blonde. "I don't have your money. Try Min Soo. He's probably got it."
He hoped pushing the blame off on his fellow crew-mate would have helped calm the beast in front of him, but it did nothing of the sort. Instead, the male cracked his knuckles once again, threw down the phone, and swung his fist, aiming for Sang Won's face. He ducked quickly, throwing his own punch at Hyun Ri. It connected with his jaw, and Sang Won backed up as the other male aimed another blow at him. Neither of them seemed to notice the small blonde girl approaching them, but they were able to notice the sounds of an approaching siren, and a familiar shout coming down the alleyway.
"HEY!" the voice of officer Jung Jae Min rang out and Sang Won swore under his breath. There was no way he could let this man catch him again.
He turned, and that was finally when he saw the short blonde girl. She was almost right behind him, and squeaked slightly at his sudden movement. He narrowed his eyes at her, before looking behind him once more. Jae Min was approaching quickly, and he needed to escape. He looked down at the girl quickly, and spoke.
"You should probably run." he said, breaking into a run himself.

It was like Seok Jae could practically feel the detestation in the air after he rattled on about what Mi Jeong had to do for him. She clearly did not like him at all, but oddly enough, that's what Seok Jae wanted. He wanted her to hate him and he wanted her to constantly be suppressing the urge to whack him with a baseball bat. The more she hated him, the more likely she was to just quit, right? No matter how many times he threatened to fire her, it'd always just be empty words. His parents already made it clear that he didn't have the authority to fire his "babysitter." But they couldn't stop the girl from quitting. He just hoped her hatred towards him was stronger than her need for money.
At the suggestion of the "cafe around the corner," Seok Jae wrinkled his nose. What a mediocre idea. He asked for something interesting and she gave him one of the most overused settings known to man. Seok Jae lived for the thrill he couldn't get when he was at home, but obviously he wasn't going to be getting that with this girl, either. A dramatically exaggerated sigh slipped past his lips as he stopped walking rather abruptly, causing her to bump into him. "Interesting-! Do you know what---"
Another sigh.
"Never mind."
What was the use in arguing? He was hungry and he couldn't think of any other place to eat, anyway. Clearly, this girl didn't have a fun side to her so the "cafe around the corner" was probably the most interesting place she could think up on the spot. Instead of staying that however, he started walking again, walking with the same fast pace he used when he was around her. He'd do anything to tire her out, even if it exhausted him. He continued walking out of the building, holding the doors for himself and letting them slam on his female companion.
Seok Jae snorted quietly; did everything need to be explained to this girl? "Alright, well... A recreational activity is something someone does for fun, to relax and enjoy his or her free time," he decided to explain that first, just in case that's what she was confused about. "Something thrilling is... Hmm... Something... Rather exciting." He glanced back at her, trying to see how she'd react to that obviously condescending tone in his voice. "Soooo, put the two together and it's an exciting activity for me to do after we eat. Don't worry about the budget, I'm rich." As if he needed to remind her.
"Think: rock climbing, ice skating... I'd even accept an answer like 'watching a horror film.' Whatever your little mind can come up with," he smiled at her. That beautifully smarmy smile that he so often used on her.
As soon as the two of them got to the cafe, Seok Jae looked around and found a small table. He didn't reach out to take his bag, instead, he turned to the maid and handed her a small handful of money. "Order me something good. Something sweet, but not too sweet. I don't like caffeine that much and I'm not in the mood for something hot. Also, I like whipped cream. Alright, go ahead," he placed his hands on her shoulders and physically turned her around before pushing her forward lightly.

To say the least, Seon Hwa had an incredibly active imagination. Just while walking down the small path behind the old buildings, terrible thoughts were flooding her mind. Thanks to her bright blonde hair, she already stuck out. Not many people in Korea sported that colored hair. And while she did normally love standing out, she didn't want to stand out to the wrong kinds of people. What if there was some creepy older man who wanted to kidnap her? What if she fell in a ditch and no one ever found her, cause who in their right mind would want to walk through this scary area? Although she was definitely regretting her decision to walk through there, she was already halfway through and couldn't turn around now.
That's when she heard the footsteps.
It wasn't just one pair of footsteps And it sure as hell didn't sound like the footsteps of a calm person. Nibbling on her lower lip nervously, she turned around slowly to see where the source of the sound was coming from. Seeing the somewhat familiar face running in her direction, she almost raised both hands up as if to say "Spare me!" But when she heard what he said, she froze.
Run? Wait, what? Why would she have to run? And that's when she saw where the other pair of footsteps was coming from. Despite how short she was, she was actually pretty fast. So it wasn't too difficult to catch up to the male. But why was she even running? She wasn't guilty. She hadn't done anything!
But she couldn't stop running. Her heart was racing and she was following closely behind the man. Although she was scared, there was a new feeling quickly overwhelming her. One that she wasn't entirely familiar with. Was this was real excitement felt like? She knew what excitement felt like when she was the first one in a store for a ten minute sale. She knew excitement when a new episode of her favorite drama came out. But this? This was something completely different...
And she loved it.
Turning her head slightly, she couldn't see the officer anymore, although she could hear him shouting. "Ooh! Over here!" She exclaimed to her male counterpart, grabbing his wrist suddenly and yanking him into one of the old buildings. It was an old pet shop that closed a few years ago and luckily, the back door looked like it was left slightly open.
As soon as she stumbled inside with him, she quickly closed the door and put the lock on it from the inside. She was breathing heavily now, but there was an excited grin etched on her features. "Ohmygod~! I've never done anything like this before! This- this is amazing!" She exclaimed in a hushed voice and clapped her hands together.
"I really helped you out there, didn't I?"
