Welcome to Gaia! ::

I nodded slowly, and moved my arms so they were wrapped around his middle. I paused, my mismatched eyes gazing up at the dark-skinned man before me. I was overtaken by a feeling of security, but also of nervousness. My cheeks grew hot, and I felt my stomach flutter as I went on my tiptoes. He was taller, not by much, but enough and so I had to stretch a little to meet him.

My lips touched his, and I stayed there longer than I had before. He was warm, he was so close, and all the emotions and rejection I had had from society melted away as I kissed him.

It was bliss, and my skin was glowing more than ever.
With that contact, I felt my heart stop. As she kissed me more deeply, everything around me ceased to exist. There was only us. Time itself seemed to revolve around us, as did the stars. I wrapped my arms around her back, her being as petite as she was. As much as I wanted to stare into those eyes of her's, all I could do was close my eyes so that there would be nothing but this. Seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours, and hours to days. We must have only been kissing for 7 seconds, but it felt like a hundred years of pure optimism.

Eventually, I granted myself the willpower to pull myself away. I looked her deep in the eyes, smiling widely. "I, uh.....should probably get back to training..."
The kiss ws inevitable, with the way he had been acting around each other. I felt all worry leave me, and as the kiss ended and our lips parted, an odd sense of calm. I stepped away, seeing the giddyness on Gabriel's face and then I slowly nodded at his words. "Of course." My mismatched eyes watched him a moment longer, and then with a smile, I let go of him. My hands lingered for a moment on his, before I stepped back. I brushed past him and went to the doors once more. I cast a look over my shoulder to him, pondering what to say, but decided that I had better examine my thoughts somewhere more private.

"I'll see you soon." I said, and then left, my cheeks flushed.
I gave myself a mental pat on the back and turned back to the target range, reactivating the holographic targets. Raising my bolt-pistol once more, I looked down the sight at the green hologram 20 feet away. Squeezing the trigger lightly, I hesitated. I pulled away from the gun, looking at it. "Earth..."

Why Earth? Was life even sustainable on that godforsaken planet? Al was telling the truth, wasn't he? But then, why would he? He betrayed us, not the other way around. This could be another trap. For all I knew, Deekon was still alive out there. They don't use the term prodigy lightly on Krelton. I'd known Alfred for 10 years and we'd always agreed. It wasn't until that colony that things really started to get rocky.

Suddenly, it dawned on me. As absurd as the explanation seemed, it's the only thing that would give me a decent answer on the strange events that had happened after meeting Lav.

"That wasn't Alfred..."
