- Jamie sighed. He knew Gus was going to have to find out sooner or later. The blonde opened his mouth to say that yes, those smokes were his, but Gus cut him off. He looked up, shaking his head at the hypocracy. "I don't know, it just happened when I started gaining weight." he snapped back, standing up with Gus. "And why are you so angry, anyway? You smoke like there's no ******** tomorrow, and you're judging me?" he asked, and Gus snapped back that he was just replacing weight loss with cigarettes. Which was partly true. He needed something to do. Not eating was something he concentrated on day in and day out. He needed something else to concentrate on. Jamie was about to snap back at his boyfriend when the doorbell rang. The blonde huffed, crossing his arms over his chest and waiting for Gus to be done with whoever was at the door so they could continue their discussion. But when it didn't take ten seconds for Gus to snap at whoever was at the door and slam it in their face, Jamie got curious and wandered out to the door. "Gus, who are you talking to/" called his soft voice, only to see an almost exact replica of Gus standing on the other side of the door.
Jamie smiled one of his trade-mark fake smiles and shook James' hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Jamie" he said tossing a glance over at his boyfriend. The brothers stared at each other for an awkward seven seconds before Jamie remembered his manners. "Uhm, would you like to come in?" asked the blonde and James shot him a grin. "Yeah, it'd be nice to know where my little bro lives" said the older Jacobs as Jamie moved aside so he could step into the house. Gus shot Jamie a look and opened his mouth to say something snarky, and Jamie pointed a finger. "Don't you even start with me." he warned, following James into their kitchen. "Nice place" commented the taller brunette ( James was about two inches or so taller than Gus, making Jamie about six or seven inches shorter than the older brother ) "Oh, thankyou" said Jamie, taking a seat at the dining table. James sat across from him. "So are you like, Gus' house mate or something?" Jamie laughed. "No, I'm Gus' boyfriend!" he said in a giggly tone, causing Gus to growl over near the oven. James looked back to Gus, then to Jamie. Then to Gus again.
"You did well, Roland" James stated, looking back to Jamie and giving him another grin. It almost made the blonde blush. That smile reminded him so much of Gus' smile. It was uncanny how much James and Gus looked alike. Yeah, they were related, but Jamie had seen siblings who looked more like they rode the bus together than were actually blood related. "I'm guessing this is not a planned visit, is it, James?" asked Jamie before Gus exploded with anger all over the room. "Well, no not exactly. I've been travelling for quite a while, took me a long time to find Gus - when I actually started looking for him that is. Semmed he moved up and down a bit last year. Between Massechusetts and here" explained James, and jamie winced at the memories of Marcus and Elliot. People he'd rather not believe were real in the first place. Jamie was still a little confused. "Why'd you come down here? I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I've never even heard of you" the blonde confessed and the other turned around to glare at his brother. This was when Gus exploded all over the place. He screamed at James that he completely abandoned him with their Dad. Jamie was lost for words. Why hadn't Gus told him any of this before? He felt so . . . out of the loop. Gus had this whole big past that he hadn't told Jamie about, when the blonde frequently spilled his heart out to him. He felt like he was left hanging.
Jamie couldn't take the screaming for another second, and he jumped out of his seat. "Shut up!" he yelled, and both of the brothers fell silent to look at him. "Thankyou." he said softly, and rubbed his forhead a little. The boys had literally given him a headache. "Just stop yelling" he said softly, looking up at the both of them. James sighed. "Sorry, Jamie. We can get carried away at times" and then it started again, Gus snapping at James for saying 'we' and James anpping back for whatever reason, and Jamie was just sick of it all. The lies, the yelling. "HEY!" he exclaimed and they both stopped yelling again. "What did I just say/" he asked, and James shrugged apologetically again. The blonde shook his head, and grabbed his satchel he had sumped on the kitchen counter as he came in. "I'm going out" he said softly. Gus called out to ask him what time he'll be home. "I don't know . . ." he replied, and closed the house door softly, and within seconds he heard more yelling. The blonde sighed, got in his car, and drove to the nearest gas station. He bought another pack of cigarettes, seeing as Tiberius chewed his last one up. The blonde drove to a park down the road to do some thinking, and the instant he sat down, he lit up.
The smoke felt good in his lungs, and he coughed a little because of the chilly air. It wasn't twenty minutes later that he felt someone tapping on his shoulder - it was James. "What are you doing here?" asked the small one and James shrugged sitting next to him. "Gus kicked me out. I shouldn't have expected any less. I did bail on him a while ago." and Jamie nodded. He knew what it was like to run away. jamie left home when he was sixteen, his sister had left a year before him. He couldn't stand being in that house anymore. It was too much. He chuckled once. "I know what it's like to leave. After a while people just don't want you back" he commented and James laughed a little. Jamie took another drag, inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly. "Can I bum one of those?" Jamie nodded, opening his pack and handing one to James, along with his lighter. "Thanks" Jamie nodded, and sighed, flicking the ash away from his cancer stick. "Where do you live?" asked the blonde as James exhaled a lung full of smoke. "Nowhere. Been living out of my car for about a month now, I lost my job, and my landlord evicted me, so now I'm just driving around, seeing how far my last tank of gas will take me" explained the brunette. jamie instantly felt bad for him. Winter was not nearly finished, and gus kicked his own brother out on the street?
Jamie smiled. "You can stay with Gus and I, if you're up for it" he said, looking over to James who gave him a look. "You couldn't take us fighting for five minutes, how are you going to stand anything longer than that?" he chuckled and Jamie smiled. "I have my ways of getting what I want" he said, and he grinned. Gus was so easy to get to, especially with the help of his favourite ( and out of co-incidence tightest ) skinny jeans. And a little help from his mouth didn't go astray either. James seemed like a decent guy - and Jamie didn't want him to sleep outside in the freezing cold when he could just as easily sleep in Jamie and Gus' massive house. Jamie warned James about Sebastian - but apparently Gus had already told him in their fight. Sebastian was home when the two got home, and Jamie instantly picked up the little boy and put him in his room with the stereo up load with a promise he wouldn't turn it down or come out of the room, even if he heard yelling. Gus was outside, and Jamie stood at the back door as it started to snow again. He wrapped his arms around himself for comfort. "Gus" he called and the brunette turned around. He was smoking. "James is going to stay with us a few days" he stated plainly. Gus gave the boy an incredulous look. "Before you even start, Gus. James has nowhere else to stay, alright? I'm not going to let him sleep in his car on a freezing cold night" but Gus went on to say that James was just conning him - that he probably just wanted to perve on Jamie or something.
Jamie shook his head. "Yeah, and he'll be getting a hell of a lot more than you will" snapped Jamie, and he shook his head in disgust before going back inside. But not before muttering 'jerk' under his breath, although he was sure he was loud enough for Gus to hear. Jamie entered the kitchen, where James was sitting. "Any requests for dinner?" he asked casually, reaching up to the top shelf to grab a cookbook - Gus' shirt sliding up his back, revealing his tattoo. It was a typical tramp stamp, one he had gotten when he was eighteen . . . and drunk. He felt James' eyes on him, then heard him chuckle. "Nice tat." Jamie turned around, laughing a little himself. "Believe me, I was not in a great state of mind when that happened" he said, smiling. James raised his eyebrows as Jamie blushed, flicking through the cookbook for tonight's meal. He thought soup would be simple and easy, but he was sure that James wouldn't want that. Jamie would cook pasta.
