"I don't think he trusts me alone with you." Naelah said and giggled. The multi-coloured paper lanterns were so pretty in the night sky. There was little moonlight since the moon had just began to wax.

Vincent shook his head as he gently pulled her a little closer. "Actually, I think its the opposite. He's been my caretaker since I was young. If anything, he may have wanted to see your reaction to judge your character." He said with a shrug. "He didn't mean any harm." He stopped when they reached the cooks. "What would you like to eat my princess?"

Naelah smiled when he pulled her closer. "The noodles with beef looks great. What are you going to have?" she said.

Vincent thought about it for a moment. "You know what, I'll have the same." he said to the person at the stand they nodded and quickly made two bowls for them.
"Please, enjoy." Vincent nodded.
"Thank you, we will." He picked up his bowl and led her towards a bench.

"Thank You." Naelah said and began to eat her noodles. They were delicious. She looked up at Vincent "Do you know if there is a seer at this festival? I've always wondered what they are like," Naelah said.

He had almost forgotten about the seer in town. "There should be. She can be a little loopy, but she is right most of the time." he said as he ate. "We can go see her after we finish eating. Is that okay with you?"

"That sounds good." Naelah said. She continued eating her noodles feeling lucky to have a friend like Vincent.

Vincent nodded as he finished eating. "If you don't mind me asking, what are your plans now?" he asked curiously. "I mean you escaped your father and are now on the run."

"I'm not really sure but I think we have to do something important. Maybe the seer will know?" Naelah said. She held his hand and blushed.

Vincent held her hand tightly as he nodded. "Your right. She should know." He gently stood up and helped her to her feet. "This way princess." he said with a smile.

They entered the seer's tent and sat across from the seer.
"Welcome my dears." said the seeress. The two held hands and sat close. The man was familliar... it was.. it was Sir Valentine.
"Can you tell us our destiny?" Naelah asked
"I see a journey to the north...There is plot which must be stopped. Intuition will guide you."

Vincent was silent as they listened to their destiny. North was back towards her castle and the neighboring castle. What is going on up there? "Thank you." he said at first. "If you don't mind me asking, what of our futures?"

"I see a strong bond. Sir you will become even more famous and learn to travel in ways unknown to most. Both of you will find a very valuable treasure. That is all I see." she said

Naelah

Naelah wasn't sure what to make of the seer's words but she was looking forward the adventure. The words felt right. She smiled at Vincent's form in the shadowy tent. His gorgeous face was illuminated by the candles and her eyes moved to study his lips. She often wondered what it would be like to kiss him. As her cheeks reddened and she looked into her lap hoping he hadn't noticed her stare.

Vincent nodded. A positive future was always a good one. "Thank you very much seer." He said with a slight bow. He looked at Naelah and noticed her looking at him. "Shall we get going?" He asked. He wondered why she was blushing.
