“You can be lots of things.” Lauren said softly. She was not sure if Azrous had caught what she said, but whatever word she used to describe him was one of affection. She wondered what type of words he would use to describe her. She looked around at him, wishing that he would finish his thought. Lauren sighed softly to herself, annoyed by Casteel’s presence. She smiled and looked around at him. “I too hope that I will get to see that part of you Master Azrous.” Lauren meant it. She greatly desired to see every part of Azrous that she could so that she could know everything there was to know about the young prince.
Lauren nodded. She thought to herself that she was glad she was not a vegetarian if she were going to be visiting him in his home nation. She smiled warmly at him. “Well then I am glad that you have this opportunity. We have many wonderful fresh fruits. Some of the fruits are imported here as well from the southern lands since their terrain fosters growth. I do hope that that will not turn you away from some of the delicacies that we have here.” Lauren said as she led the way. She heard Casteel’s response. It was not at all helpful. If these individuals were hiding in the shadows being ever vigilant had been there for long then they would have seen her and Azrous share a kiss. That was much more likely to cause an uproar than the act of holding hands. Once more she was left wondering exactly what the damage of holding hands was. Anything more than that would be damaging to her reputation. Lauren’s reputation within her family was already changed, and so this was probably what Casteel was thinking about when it came to them showing their affections. Lauren did not want to spoil her chance of going along with Azrous to his land and getting to learn more about him. She did want to respect her father’s wishes so that she could gain his permission and his acceptance.
Miluiel eagerly awaited Elphaba’s response to her questions. She was not exactly excited about what she had to say. But at least when he was on his own he was not speaking of Lauren. Elphaba went further, urging Miluiel to go for it and to show Serith what he was missing out on when it came to the younger daughter. “Thank you Miss Elphaba.” Miluiel said. She still felt as if she were doing something wrong, something deceitful. “I do think that I am ready to go and join the others. I imagine at this point Master Serith might start to be wondering what is going on.” Miluiel said. She reached out to take Elphaba’s hand and squeezed it gently. There was some nervous tension there. She held onto her for just a moment before she walked out the exit to where Serith would be. “Did you miss us?” She asked enthusiastically as she came up behind him and reached for his hand, taking it from behind so that their arms were somewhat wrapped around each other. “I am sure by now they are wondering where we have gone off to.” Miluiel giggled softly as she stepped up closer to Serith so that their arms might brush gently together. “Come on, now. Have you nothing to say?” She asked brightly as she led him on up the stairs she had nearly just tumbled down.
