Ann-Marie woke up early in the morning, well before the sun had risen, and sneaked outside before the rest of the orphans or Lady Bell woke up. She wanted to talk with the ghosts before she started her day's work.
The girl changed out of her white nightgown and slipped into her worn out grey dress and her favorite and only pair of black boots. Then she very quietly crept out of the house, and she made sure not to step on any of the creaky boards or stairs.
Once she was safely outside, she ran silently down the streets and into the woods. She reached into the hollow of a tree and pulled out her book of spells and chants. It was much like a diary, but she spoke with the ghosts and the girls told her different spells that she could use and potions.

"Sarah? Maria? Beth? Where are you?" Ann-Marie called out to her friends.

"We're here." They all said at once.

Then they went over spells and Ann-Marie practiced her magic, and she was starting to get really good at it. She could start a fire in the palm of her hand now !
They lost track of time and the sun was already creeping into the sky. Ann-Marie said goodbye to the ghosts and ran as fast as she could back into town. She opened the door to the orphanage just to see Lady Bell (the owner) come around the corner and give her a questioning look.
"I was just sweeping the front steps My Lady." Ann-Marie lied with a sweet smile.
"Aw, you are so sweet Ann-Marie." Lady Bell said just before going upstairs to wake up the other orphans.

Ann-Marie helped prepare breakfast for everybody (it was a small meal) and since she was the oldest girl there, she was the one who had to go into town to buy groceries. She picked up the huge woven basket and took a handful of money from the cabinets then she was on her way to the middle of town where all of the food was.

She loaded the basket with fruits, vegetables, two loaves of bread, and a sac of flower. Then she was turning around to leave when she crashed into someone and fell over. The basket went flying out of her hands and all of the food rained down on her, causing several people to start laughing to themselves. Ann-Marie had lost her balance and fell to the ground, but she didn't hit something hard as she landed.
She opened her eyes and realized that she had fallen on someone ! It was the girl ! The girl that was heart breakingly gorgeous. The girl that caught every man's eye as she walked by. The girl that made Ann-Marie's heart skip a beat and stole her breath away.

Ann-Marie was laying on top of Alexandria.
She didn't bother to move, their eyes were locked and she couldn't seem to breath, blink, or even think. She just stared at the angel beneath her and admired her beauty.
Then the girl started to squirm slightly and Ann-Marie jumped up quickly and helped Alexandria to her feet.
"Oh my. I.. I'm so s-sorry !" She stuttered.

Ann-Marie swallowed and waited for the princess standing in front of her to say something. She certainly hoped that she didn't hurt the poor girl ! If she did, well, she didn't know what she'd do with herself.
A million thoughts raced through her head as she watched Alexandria and awaited a response. And by now someone had picked up all the food and placed it back in the basket, then left it by Ann-Marie's feet. How sweet, bless their soul ! And the small crowd that had been watching them started to disperse.

It had been a relatively normal morning for lex woke up at the crack of dawn and had an argument with a near by sparrow which would have earnd her a strange look if her neibours didn't already know she was a little strange, well a lot strange compared to most other girls in the little town many thought it was due to her fathers work so they just let her bumble about occasionally talking to herself.

A few hours had passed since her heated debate with the small bird and she was wandering through the town she was looking out for something, for It. When suddenley she found herself being forced to to the ground with a thud, at first Lex was a little shaken thinking it may have become strong enough to attack her in broad daylight which would suck as she didn't have her talisman or dagger but much to her surprise and pleasure the beast was nowhere to be seen and atop of her laid a most beautiful maiden. Lex froze for a moment as their eyes met and stayed maybe a little to long as she began to feel butterfly's. The next thing Lex knew she was being pulled up by the beautiful young woman who appolagised looking more distressed than she had didn't reply she was just staring at the other girls hand which still held hers Lex quickly shook out of her daze and looked up into those beautiful eye's "Thats alright I wasn't really watching where I was going" she replied as she withdrew her hand to dust herself off "Are you alright miss. You seem a bit flustered" she continued with a smile then turned her head feeling It's presence she felt a flicker of fear then realised it was still mornning and the beast was in the shadows but not wanting to take any chances Lex quickly grabbed the other girls hand "Please alow me to walk with you for a while" she asked trying to hide her fear of the thing in the dark.

(( The beast is after Lex because she accidently called it when she was fourteen, but has since forgotten it's name and so she has no controll over it. Not that she did in the first place.))

Ann-Marie was surprised that she was still holding the girls hand, but she didn't release it, she quite liked the feel of her hand in hers.
When Alexandria asked if Ann-Marie was alright, then commented that she seemed flustered, Ann-Marie started to blush an even deeper pink than before. Of course she was flustered ! She was holding the hand of the most beautiful creature she had ever laid eyes on !
"Please alow me to walk with you for a while" Said Alexandria.
Ann-Marie nodded and picked up her basket of food before walking with the girl.On the outside she wore a small smile, but her insides were jumping with joy at the fact that she was going on a stroll hand in hand with a beautiful angel.

"My name is Ann-Marie by the way. Ann-Marie Foster." She introduced herself.
She already knew that the other girl's name was Alexandria. It wasn't that she was a stalker or anything though ! She simply knew that Alexandria was the Mortician's daughter, and she was a bit strange... She liked to talk to herself, but there wasn't any problem with that. It was cute !

Ann-Marie noticed that Alexandria's eyes kept darting to the shadows, so she looked. But saw nothing. She just decided that the girl was a bit strange. But then she looked again, and Ann-Marie's eyes followed her gaze and she saw slight movement in the shadows.

Ann-Marie usually respected other's privacy, but this time she was very curious what was happening inside Alexandria's head. She focused really hard, but it was nearly impossible for her to read the girl's thoughts. What on earth ?! This girl could somehow block her powers.... Something very strange is going on here...

Lex smiled back at Ann-Marie "Well miss Foster, it's a pleasure to meet I'm Alexandra Muse by the way" she replied to her introduction "Shall we" she continued as she nodded up the street. Then noticed that Ann-Marie had an odd look like she was concentraiting to hard then a confusion was in her eyes "Um are you sure your alright"? she asked looking concerned.

Suddenly Lex felt a chill go down her spine, 'It's closer' she thought as they "Um which way are we going"? she asked Ann-Marie her voice trembled a little but she kept her composure though she could feel it's hungry gaze.

Alexandria asked if Ann-Marie was okay and she snapped right out of her little daze.
"What. Oh ! Yes. I'm fine. Really fine." She said quickly, closing her eyes and waving her hand in the air dismissively.
"Oh, and call me Ann-Marie.. Ms Foster sounds too... Uhm, just call me Ann-Marie please." Ann-Marie said lowering her voice to barely a whisper at the end of her sentence. She was starting to think about how her mom was taken away, to who knows where, and is probably still alive in some terrible place.
All of the sudden Alexandria seemed to tense up, and her grip tightened ever so slightly. Ann-Marie tilted her head to the side wondering what was going on with this girl. She tried to peer into her mind, but it was useless and Ann-Marie sighed in defeat.
"Oh, well I still have these groceries.. So we should probably take these to my house..." Ann-Marie thought aloud.

But then she thought, "Why would I want her to come and see where I live !? It'll blow my chances with her !" She bit her lip and her stomach knotted a bit, but then she decided that she didn't have and chances to begin with, so it didn't even matter.

"Alright, my house is this way." She said turning.

Then she got the unnerving feeling that they were being followed. Ann-Marie looked around and saw something with bloody eyes staring at her, and it was most certainly following the girls.
Ann-Marie yelped and started sprinting down the street in the opposite direction.

"I uh, just forgot that there is a stray cat... who lives down that street and it doesn't like me too much, so let's go this way !" She told Alexandria as she made a sharp turn down another street.
She could feel the distance growing between her and that.. that.. thing ! She could barely see it, but it obviously was not a human being !

They came to the orphanage and Ann-Marie pulled Alexandria into the house quickly then shut the door quickly. She was breathing heavily and her heart was racing. The thing scared her, the running made it hard to breath, and the fact that standing very close to her was the most beautiful girl that she had ever laid eyes on, all of those things tended to make her heart beat quickly and took her breath away.
Ann-Marie took her bonnet off and ran a hand through her hair. She felt safer here inside.
She just hoped Alexandria wouldn't ask any questions.. This would be quite difficult to explain to her.
"Oh, I'm a witch ! That's why I've been acting so strange.." ........ Yeah right..

"Aliright then Ann-Marie, lets go" Lex replied as se began to forget about the monster in the shadows when suddenly she felt herself being pulled up the opposite end of the street Lex just barely heard what Ann-Marie said before she she took off but had a little while to gather it as they were almost sprinting through the street, The two enterd a large building and the next thing Lex knew it she and Ann-Marie were inside and the door had slammed behind them.

Upon realising where she was and what had just happend Lex blinked a few times and just said in between breaths "That... must be.. some Cat" as she leaned against the wall running had never been something lex was good at it usually eneded in dissaster luckily though most of the way there lex was just being pulled through the air by Ann-Marie. Lex turned to see her unknowing saviour remove her bonnet and run her fingers through her hair for a moment the brunet was speechless "Wow... Your beautiful" she said as Ann-maries hair fell.

(( Sorry for the scare, I promise I have no intentions of doing that any time soon Im just not smart enough to figure out how to change whats now there. On a much lighter note do you know anything about the incresing number of teen werewolf packs and vampire covens.))

Ann-Marie breathed a sigh of relief when Alexandria made her comment about the cat. At least she believed the whole evil cat story.. Even if it was a bit far fetched...
When the girl told Ann-Marie that she was beautiful a light pink blush spread across her cheeks.
"I'm beautiful ? Me ?" She asked pointing at herself. "Sweetheart, have you ever seen yourself ?" She asked before she even knew what she was saying.

After she realized that she was taking aloud her light pink blush turned into a bright red flush.

"I-I. uhm.. I mean... uhhhhhh" She stuttered.

Just then a little eight year old boy came around the corner. He was an orphan too, he also was incredibly sweet and was Ann-Marie's best friend. His name was Henry.

"Hey Ann, whatcha doing ?" Henry asked, his gaze shifting to Alexandria. His eyes widened slightly but then he regained his composure.

"Ahh, I see.. Well then, I guess I'll be going now." He bid them a farewell, giving Ann-Marie a knowing smirk and wink.

She started to blush all over again. He knew that Ann-Marie watched Alexandria and looked at her differently than other people. He teased her about it every so often too.

"So uhm.. What would you like to do now ?" She asked slightly awkwardly.

Ann-marrie's response to Lex's earlier coment totally caught her by surprise 'Could she be like me'? Lex dared to think a small ray of hope shining through her inner darkness and before she could read to much into it Lex noticed that her beautiful companions face had flushed red 'Oh I think..maybe she might be' she thought. Then Lex smiled and turned more or less the same same shade as Ann-marie began to stutter when suddenly a small boy apeared he seemed to know Ann-marie the two talked brifely and he left then with that same blush Ann-marie asked Lex what she'd like to do now.

Lex though about it for a while then shook her head and smiled "Honestly Id just like to get to know you better, is there a place we could go to chat more"? she asked quite timidly the whole situation of being so close to some one no another girl who maybe was like her had always just been a fantasy but here was potential for reality. Perhaps even the beginings of a romance 'Whoa now Lex lets not get to far ahead of yourself now' she thought but still just the chance made her happier than she had been for a long time.

(( Hey 0reo you know because your supper awesome could you find it in your heart to forgive my late reply I'd rather not say to much about why it took so long just that it couldnt have been avoided. my holidays were good by the way I got to spend them with friends and family my mum has a new friend which I think is a budding romance and my mate john is getting married so it was drinks all around for a really long time, beside that things are still flowing happily I guess I still havent got a new girlfriend yet but I did manage to get with a cheerleader on new years eve so I'd say Im better off than most. How were yours. did you do anything fun or potentially crazy? Wow this is longer than my post xd ))

Ann-Marie's first thought when Alexandria suggested getting to know each other better was to take her to the woods... She wanted a place that would have little or no interruptions, but the ghosts in the woods would surely tease and taunt and distract from the conversations.... So that was a bad idea after all.

Then her eyes lit up and she smiled even wider as she remembered. Earlier that year she had come across the most perfect place.

"Do you trust me ?" She whispered in Alexandria's ear.

The beautiful girl nodded and Ann-Marie smiled sweetly and gently placed her hand over Alexandria's eyes. She wanted the place to be a surprise.
Ann-Marie kept her hand over Alex's eyes and guided her as she walked. Some of the town folk gave the girls strange looks, but Ann-Marie ignored them.
Alexandria managed to stumble over a small rock, and Ann-Marie wrapped one of her arms around the girls waist to steady her.
Wow ! She felt sparks ! It was amazing ! Just like in the love stories!!
The girls walked, and occasionally Alexandria would ask a question, and Ann-Marie would try to make some small talk so that she didn't scare Alexandria, but so that the girl still didn't know where they were going... It would ruin the surprise! Ann-Marie didn't have any nefarious plot, she just had an innocent surprise waiting...

They got there and Ann-Marie removed her hand that was covering Alexandria's eyes, but she quite liked the feel of holding her, so she left her other arm wrapped around the girls slim waist.

The two girls were standing near a beautiful pond. The trees parted in a perfect circle, and nobody else knew about this place. The pond was a perfect circle too, a few lily pads dotted the surface, and the water sparkled and glistened in the sunlight much like sapphires and diamonds.

Ann-Marie looked at Alexandria to see what she thought about the beautiful sight.

For a while Lex felt un easy as Ann-marie held her hand over her eyes and lead her to this secret place untill she tripped and felt her arm wrap around her waist this felt nice like better than nice there were butterflys all the way to the destination even as Ann-Marie made small talk with her Lex was only focussed on how much she didnt want her to let go.

When they arrived and her eyes were uncovered Lex looked around the concealed area then turned to see Ann-marrie the sun perfectly carresed her beautiful features and made her look asthough she was an angel Lex was stunned and looking into Ann-marie's eyes all she could manage to say was "Perfect...."

Alexandria breathed a single word, and it described everything, well, perfectly.
"Hey, want to take a dip in the lake?" Ann-Marie asked.

The water would feel wonderfully refreshing on a day like today. The sun was hot, there was just a slight breeze, and the birds chirped every now and again singing their beautiful song.

Ann-Marie reluctantly removed her arm from Alexandria's side, only to take hold of the girls dainty hand. She led her closer to the water. It was a shallow pond, and even Ann-Marie who was a lousy swimmer could enjoy splashing about in the water.

"Well what do you say?" Ann-Marie asked smiling widely, a sparkle in her bright eyes.

"Trust me, it is perfectly safe, no need to worry about anything. Oh, and you don't have to be shy..." She started to blush as she finished talking.
She was slightly embarrassed, I mean, nobody is going to swim with all their clothes on. She didn't want to go skinny dipping or anything, but the two would in fact have to remove some of their clothes if they wanted to get in the water.

I apologize for the long wait. >.< And I'm sorry to say that my post was a bit dry too... but I do have an idea, what if while they're swimming the demon comes after them, then the ghosts show up somehow and help the girls ward off the beast for a while ? Then they find out how alike they really are.. ? ]]

Lex was totally caught off guard by Ann-Marie's sugestion and just stood biting her lip for a moment then nodded "Ok let's go" she replied once she'd been assured it would be safe then flushed a pink when told she didn't have to be shy because in actual fact she had a lot of reasons the main one being this beautiful girl was talking about them taking a did together that means they'd have to be in there under garments at this thought the pink quickly shifted to a deep red.

Lex took a deep breath and regaind some of her composure "Right" she said "Where will we put our clothes"? she asked not really thinking about how casually she'd said it as she began un-bottoning her dress.

(( No worries your posts are usually worth the wait theres an air of sweetness to them that kinda lifts my spirit you know. And the demon attack in the lake sounds like fun lets hope the ghosts know what their doing though demons are supposed to eat souls right? Btw where do you find these gorgeous girls you use in your posts, I mean really their beautiful and on a totally unrelated note I used to have that exact same trampoline when my family still lived together 4laugh ))

Alexandra started unbuttoning her clothes and asked very nonchalantly where they would put their clothing while they took a swim. Ann-Marie was shocked, but slightly excited. Okay, excited may not be the best word... but it is the only thing that came to mind..

"We can just set them in the grass. There aren't any ants or anything." Ann-Marie said, as she gained her composure.

She started unbuttoning her dress but then froze as she remembered her scars. She didn't particularly want to explain how she got them.... she decided that she would just tell Alexandra that she used to like exploring the woods by crawling around in thorn bushes or something....

She removed her outer clothes and now she was just standing out in the open wearing only a brazier and panties. She was quite embarrassed, but once she saw how amazingly beautiful Alexandra was her jaw dropped.

"Alex. You are so gorgeous." She said quietly.

"Come on, let's go swimming now." Ann-Marie said smiling.

She took Alexandra's hand and led her into the water, it was cool, and the mud at the bottom of the pond squished and oozed slightly between her toes, it felt really great. They waded into the water until it was about to their chest, then Ann-Marie looked at Alexandra and had the overwhelming want to kiss her.
She fought with herself internally, she knew that it would be too much to kiss someone that you had just met that day. But regardless of her attempts at holding herself back, Ann-Marie was inching slowly towards Alex.
