Welcome to Gaia! ::

Ice-Cold Hunter

"Yes, but that's where all the beauty lies." Rex shouted over the sound of the wind rushing past them. With the new engine, it wouldn't take long to reach their diving point. "It'll be worth it."

Obsessive Dabbler

"Right." Mark smiled, settling back to let the wind ruffle his curls. Hopefully, nothing happened to their engine, or, with sails only for show, they would be well and truly stuck.

Ice-Cold Hunter

Once they arrived at the right diving spot, Rex wasted no time in suiting up. Jesse followed his lead, putting on the wetsuit, oxygen tank, mask, and flippers. "How do I look?" Rex grinned as he turned around for Mark in the skin tight suit.

Obsessive Dabbler

"It looks good on you," Mark smiled, glancing over Rex's body appreciatively. The mask and flippers were an odd touch, but he could get used to the skin tight wetsuit. As for himself, Mark was still struggling just a bit to get his own gear on properly. The suit was right, but he was pretty sure the flippers were on the wrong feet, and the mask was too loose.

Ice-Cold Hunter

Rex noticed this and chuckled. He took off his own mask for a moment so he could see while he helped out his partner. He switched the flippers on Mark's feet, then tightened the mask so no water could get in it. "It might be uncomfortable, but bear with it."

Obsessive Dabbler

"Got it," Mark answered, glad that the mask would obscure his embarrassment at least a little. He'd only ever done this once before, it was a lot to get the hang of. "Are we ready, then?"

Ice-Cold Hunter

Jesse just finished securing the boat to that spot with the anchor. He gave them both a thumbs up before he hopped into the water. Rex smiled at Mark and patted his shoulder before he too jumped in after his brother.

Obsessive Dabbler

Mark followed, jerking a little at the cold of the water, but he followed his partner and Jesse's example, settling into the waves before going under, remembering to breathe. The pressure would be the hardest bit.

Ice-Cold Hunter

Rex slowed down and waited for Mark. He let his partner pass him up so that Mark was in the middle with Jesse leading. Rex would remain in the back to watch over his lover and make sure he didn't fall behind. They didn't go too deep, just in case of any problems, but they did find what they were looking for. The coral reefs were swarming with beautiful fish.

Obsessive Dabbler

Mark pulled up after a few moments, catching Rex's attention and pointing out a number of dainty little seahorses clinging to the coral below. Seahorses had always been his favorite marine life, and even though they'd seen some the last time they'd been out, he was still pleased.

Ice-Cold Hunter

Rex brightened up at the sight of the sea horses. Slowly he crept up on the creatures and held out his hand to them. One brave soul fluttered over to him and latched onto his finger.

Obsessive Dabbler

Intrigued, Mark swam down to pause beside Rex, admiring the delicate creature wrapped around his partner's finger. He knew that this had to seem very bland, for Jesse, but everything was still so new to him.

Ice-Cold Hunter

Jesse had gone on ahead to check out more creatures while Rex admired the seahorse on his finger. It was difficult to smile with the oxygen mask on, but he was enjoying himself at the moment.

Obsessive Dabbler

The seahorse was so small. Mark didn't reach out to touch it for fear of damaging the creature, but he couldn't stop admiring it, not until it finally let go to drift back down to the rest of the seahorses on the coral nearby.

Ice-Cold Hunter

Rex tugged Mark to follow him as he tried to catch up with Jesse. He trusted his brother to find more amazing creatures to admire. As they swam, colorful fish passed by them, and some scattered in fear of them.
