Smiling Gigan swung his sword in a circle around his head then attached it to his back. "I can see why he likes you." Gigan said laughing as he walked pasted her, heading back to the governors mansion. The tent had been completely destroyed and Kayden was sitting in the cold air shivering, but still unconscious.

Sighing, Reiko sheathed Flame and Eagle, heading towards the tent. Hiroshi was waiting, his arms crossed in anger. He was holding a blanket, which he promptly threw over Kayden.

"I didn't start it," Reiko said defensively the moment she saw Hiroshi's eyes narrowing. Cecil, woken by the noise, wandered over. When she saw the lack of tent, she rolled her eyes, disappearing for a moment before returning with materials for another one.

"...Reiko...Reiko..." Kayden muttered unconsciously as he rolled over in his bed shivering. He was turning pale white and losing the color in his face quickly, his eyes fluttering rapidly.

Meanwhile, back at Harimad, the forces of the imperial army stretched out for miles and the 12 made camp for the night as they discussed battle plans. "That is the third member of the 12 that we have lost to Kayden and his little rebellion." a shadowy figure muttered in disgust. "We have to hit them before they become a real threat." a shrill woman's voice came this time. "No. He was a threat long before now, it is just a matter of how we are going to deal with him." another shadowy figure said with a rasp whisper. "Let's crush them before they have a chance to breath..." a deep mans voice rang from the shadows. "We will strike Yaimura then, we will surround and destroy them." the shrill woman's voice hissed again. The dark red eyes at the end of the shadowy table smiled, and the armies of the imperium began to move.

Cecil moved at top speed to rebuild the tent, Reiko rushing to Kayden's side. "I'm here," she murmured, kneeling by his side and taking his hand as Hiroshi approached on the other side of the bed, checking his forehead. He sighed, closing his eyes and muttering soft incantations to work on what was wrong with him.

Cecil paused, tying the rope at the top. "There's a bad aura in the air," she muttered. "I don't like it."

"Shut up and work," Hiroshi growled inbetween incantations.

Kayden stopped muttering in his sleep but his temperature kept rising even though he was shivering, he had a bad fever, probably from having a weakened immune system.

Meanwhile, Rai and Jin were panicking as they tried to come up with a plan. "We can't confront them head on, but we can't afford to lose Yaimura." they both said in Unison as their eyes darted left and right over the map looking for an escape. Sitting down next to them Gigan couldn't help but smile "You know you two are funny, you know when I was your age..." Gigan started but Rai and Jin quickly interrupted "Shut up were thinking!" they shouted again in unison, giving Gigan an odd startled expression on his face.Their eyes darting left and right they both finally came to a single point on the map where their fingers met "We've got it." they said smiling at each other, Gigan looking more confused than ever.

Hiroshi worked quickly to find the source of the fever, glancing through his books to find different spells. His expression was so intense that Reiko felt a little frightened, and didn't speak. Instead, she focused on Kayden, stroking his cheek with the back of her hand.

"Honestly, though!" Cecil said, her voice strained. "Stop sounding like a little girl, boy, and finish the tent!" Hiroshi barked. Cecil couldn't help but giggle to herself: if only he knew.

Rai and Jin were muttering to themselves and Gigan sat in a chair next to the table with the map on it staring in confusion as to what on earth they were thinking. "The imperial army is massive, and will take a great amount of time to move, that being said, it should take them 4 to 5 days to reach Yaimura, that gives us plenty of time to evacuate the city, and take a new one." Rai and Jin said in unison, smiling at each other.

Meanwhile, the imperial army began moving across the plains. The ground shook as their army marched, and at the head of the massive army, Catmandis Black, his eyes glowing red as he smiled menacingly.

Eventually, Hiroshi was able to break Kayden's fever. He returned to what remained of his bedroom, hoping to get at least a little more sleep. Reiko fell asleep, her head resting on the bed. Fighting so soon after recovering had tired her out.

Cecil, however, could not go back to sleep. She stayed sitting on top of the tent, glaring at the horizon beyond the village. Finally, she moved, heading up to the governor's mansion, hoping Gigan, Rai, and Jin would have an idea of what was going on.

Rai and Jin pointed to the mountains to the east of Yaimura, where Kayden and Reiko had originally climbed to escape the imperial army. "We can use these, prepare the army and the citizens of Yaimura to leave, we will conquer all the small villages that inhabit the mountain pass and have the villagers of Yaimura stay in the places we capture. Take as much food and water as we can, we march in the morning." they said in unison. Gigan smiled "You two better not fail us, we are counting on you." Gigan said cheerily, however Rai and Jin glared coldly "We will not fail." they said in unison.

After hearing all that Rai and Jin had to say, Cecil walked towards the table, eyes narrowed in thought. "Do you think we're prepared to make a mountain crossing?" she asked. "The map doesn't talk about the freezing cold at night, or the wild animals that aren't afraid to attack. I can only think of one person right now who knows what could lie on the other side of those mountains, unless one of you knows the terrain."

"It's not about how well we are prepared, or how dangerous the path before us is. It is something we simply must do, or die trying. Dangers are part of this rebellion, you knew that when you joined." Rai said with a grim look to Cecil. Gigan had already begun evacuating the civilians while the officers prepared the soldiers for marching around them in a caravan. There were four villages along the pass through the mountains that lead into Reiko's hometown in the mountain valley. They would take these villages and bring their villagers with them and use them as stations to warn of the oncoming imperial army. At the end of the valley was a choke point at which the rebel army could force the imperial army to fight 1 to 1 in close quarters and if planned properly, could do devastating damage to the imperial army.

As they began the march Kayden woke from his long slumber and saw Reiko next to his bed. Not a word came from his mouth but a warm smile crossed his face.
