Underrated/overrated?

Actually UKiss are very underrated...
In my opinion there are many rookies that are getting too much attention...
B1A4 and Boyfriend are examples, I love them lots and lots! but they're mostly after fanservice.

Overrated: The Gazette (i like them due to my best friend but i don't listen to them so much xd ), Gackt, very popular k-pop bands, Dir en Grey (ugh, i never liked them cat_xp ).
Well, i could say vk bands often are overrated but i still love the genre but only the less known artists and since metal/rock isn't my fav genre, i prefer vk "electro influenced" artists. Like Kaya and Seileen for example, they are almost unknown i suppose but it's a good thing. I don't want many screaming rabid fangirls over them but Dj Sisen (a part of Seileen) has his part of "stupid fans" who love him only about his looks unfortunately cat_evil , especially "cyber posers" cat_xp .
In fact for me underrated artists are:
Kaya (and his other music project Schwarz Stein), Seileen (Dj Sisen and Selia is the vocalist.. especially him is underrated, i know Selia sings with a "girly" voice but he is male XD), Gpkism, Velvet Eden, Kozi, Yousei Teikoku, Aural Vampire. I know lots of underrated j-artists, also into the anime/games/doujin bands scene, there are lots lots lots of not so well known awesome musicians.

Overrated: Gackt. Yoai fanservice is the only thing that gave him his popularity. His videos are also overrated. There are better singers in Japan that deserve more exposure than him.

Underrated: Mika Nakashima. She has such a beautiful voice. Thank goodness she doesn't sound flat like some of the female Japanese singers out there.

@princess_busicuits MBLAQ isn't underrated but they're kind of heading towards being overrated like a lot of other kpop groups. And they have won some awards.

@Jaejin The other miss A members are left in the dark. i know a whole bunch of people who love Min and Jia.

Overrated :: SNSD, SuJu, 2PM, Gackt, Boyfriend, BIGBANG, SHINee, MBLAQ, BEAST, 2NE1, BoA, etc

Underrated :: U-KISS ( they're kind of on the line to be overrated though ), Davichi, Nine Muses, Nana Mizuki, The Grace, Piggy Dolls, 4men, Tiramisu, Lady Jane, Simon D.

I love almost all of the overrated groups but what can I say there's too much hype on them.
I know a lot of people would go around saying some of these groups are either underrated or overrated. And I agree with Lobou, I love all of their personalities and what entertainment they can bring.

I'm sorry but I'm too painfully VIP so I don't see Big Bang as overrated.

I think SNSD is a bit overrated. The group is nice and all but it's some of the fans that take it too the extreme.

I feel that 4MEN are not underrated. They are one of the top ballad groups in Korea. They are so popular their. They just don't have a huge international fan base.

SM Entertainment as a whole is sky high overrated. They're groups are awesome but the company sucks in my opinion. They could treat their artists better and be more fair in the industry like not black listing people for no good reason. *cough wheeze*jyj*coughcough*

Wheesung is kind of underrated. He sings really well. Lots of emotion.

Dok2 is most certainly underrated. He's so FREAKING amazing. He owns his own record label. I know he's mostly underground (still! Really?) but he should get alot more attention.

Boy this is getting long but I would feel bad if I judged and didn't explain why.

Underrated - Mix Speakers Inc, Golden Bomber, Sound Horizon, Wakeshima Kanon, COOL&CREATE (actually most doujin music circles)
I'd say SID but they're pretty popular now...

underrrated: most japanese 80s post-punk. and most older japanese stuff in general.
