how can tokio hotel be so cool?????my brother listened to tokio hotel,then i tried everything but nothing didnt work,from that moment he became a gay fan,too good im not,im anti-gay band person,i only listen metal,i think tokio hotel should be considered gay pop metal or even more,it should not be considered metal,Metallica,Slayer,Gorgoroth,Iron maiden, and Slipknot own tokio no matter if they are without other band or if they are together still they own tokio hotel,if you hear any of the metal bands i listed then u will see wat real metal and fans are,tokio hotel sucks,Metallica rules!!!!

I miss how he used to look, I started listening to them in late 2007, and like early 2008. It's hard to see him now, since i am so used to how he looked back then, also I prefer how he looked back then.

Okay it is people like you that make me LOL so hard ;D first off if you're so "anti - tokio hotel" well then you obviously care enough about them to take the time and look them up, just to attempt to bash them. Sorry hun, but in this thread, I think the haters are just a tad bit out numbered by the lovers. Second of all; Tokio Hotel is the biggest international band to come out of Germany in over 20 years; they have been to ever continent except antartica of course, I am sure that is something you're metal bands have not been able to accomplish. Also on July 14, 2007 Tokio Hotel held a concert in Paris, France that recieved 500,000 fans, including the president of France. French students stopped wanting to learn English and wanted to learn German because of this one band. What impact has your bands made on people? Beside obviously encouraging you to bash other bands. No one forced you to come in this thread, and your comments are not needed. If you do not like them, it's simple, do not listen to them. ALSO, this band does not turn people gay -.- maybe your brother was already gay, and just decided then to come out of the closet? who knows, but this band gives people hope, and lets them know they are not alone in the world. It also lets people know that even four little boys from a small village in Magdeburg, Germany, can make their dreams come true. They were the people that were bullied in school from ignorant assholes, and now look where they are. They are very successful. Anywho before you just go running your mouth and saying a band sucks, do a little research. Also if you just listened to the English songs and not the German songs, you cannot make a decision because the lyrics in the German version are better and there a lot of songs in German that were not translated into English. I feel bad but I just started liking them because me friend told me about them. To make things better with true fans, I have absolutely fallen in love with this band!!!! So I don't know alot about them...Where are they from?

Okay to give you the background information; the quickest way I can xD well lets start with the band consist of four guys; Bill Kaulitz (22), Tom Kaulitz (22), Georg Listing (25), and Gustav Schäfer (24). First off Bill and Tom Kaulitz were born Sept. 1, 1989 which most tokio hotel fans celebrate every year. Tom is 10 minutes older than Bill. They were born in Leipzig, Germany. They were in a movie when they were six years old. When they were about seven their parents divorced; Bill started writing music and Tom started playing the guitar; if I remember correctly, it was their stepdad who inspired this because I think he owned a studio or something like that. Bill and Tom began playing in small clubs and in 2001 at one of their shows they met Georg and Gustav. Bill and Tom were looking for someone to play the bass and drums, in which case Gustav and Georg could do that. They found it incredible that they were all around the same age. Bill and Tom were often made fun of in school, well the whole band was, but especially Bill. In an interview Bill stated that even some teachers said they would not teach him because he wore makeup and had piercings. Over the next several years they continued to play gigs under the name of Devilish. In 2003, Bill joined the show Star Search, in hopes of getting producers to look at his band. While on the show he tried to get the cameras to show the band as much as possible. Bill lost in the final quater of the show, but managers started reconizing the band. The boys all lived together in a studio. At the age of 14, the band had their first record deal. At the time, two record companies were combining to become one, and the boys feared that their chances of having their dreams come true were at stake, but the band signed with Universal Records and changes their name to Tokio Hotel. Tokio because that is their favorite city and one they hoped to someday travel to (and they did) and hotel because that was the dream, to travel and stay in hotels. On August 15, 2005 Tokio Hotel released their first single "Durch Den Monsun" (through the monsoon) which hit #1 in six days, this day for TH fans is known as Durch Den Monsun Day and is also celebrated every year. The twins were only 15 when their first album, Shrei (Scream) was released. The boys soon had to leave school due to not being able to be normal teenagers anymore. In 2007 the band released their second and their album. Zimmer 483 and Scream. July 14, 2007 TH had a concert in Paris, France that had 500,000 people including the French President. Between 2006-2008 the band had I think 2 European tours. In March 2008; Bill had a cyst on his vocal cords and had to have surgery, most people feared he might never sing again, but he was okay and in 2008 TH had their first American tour. In 2009, TH released their fourth album; Humanoid. In 2010 the band released an album called "the best of tokio hotel" which included all their singles. 2011-2012 the activity is slow; In 2011 the band went to Japan for the first time, and played at the music award there. The band has been to europe, America, Canada, Mexico, South America, Africa, and Asia and the middle east. The band is known as the biggest international band to come out of Germany in over 20 years; although some germans are not fond of them. Bill and Tom moved from Germany, to Los Angeles in 2010 due to a home invasion. Bill is not only the singer of TH; he also models, acts in movies, and does other things. That kind of sums it up! He also has more tattoos now. I hate how for like 2011 and 2012 so far they have not done any interviews and also like Tokio Hotel as the band has been out of the spotlight. I don't even think they have done any performances ;W ;
