Band Profile

KAT-TUN is a J-POP boyband group from Johnny's Entertainment. It has six members: Kamenashi Kazuya, Akanishi Jin, Taguchi Junnosuke, Tanaka Koki, Ueda Tatsuya, and Nakamaru Yuichi, which, with their initials, makes up the name KAT-TUN. The dash in the middle of the name represents their fans. Another two meanings of the name are: 1) The name sounds like "cartoon" and all of the members like anime or cartoons. 2) KAT-TUN, in Japanese, means "fortune to win". KAT-TUN was formed in April of 2001 by one half of the Kinki Kids, Domoto Koichi, and is still popular today. The group was originally meant to be his backup dancers, but they have proven themselves far more worthy than that, and have come a long way since then. After the formation of NewS, KAT-TUN took over the role as the leaders of Johnny's Junior, as they had not debuted yet. They have appeared on many different variety shows and have had more than a hundred concert performances, along with several DVDs.

Yes, they are a Japanese band. They are definitely a J-Pop group.

I think they are pretty good, and they are going to debut on March 22nd. Up until then, for the last years, they have been doing many performances and concerts, but now they are finally going to debut.

I heart Kamenashi Kazuya or Kame, especially when he was in Nobuta wo Produce. whee He made a cute Shuji. Or as YamaPi aka Akira puts it Shu~uji-kun. whee I'm not sure I want to see Gokusen 2 though. I'm not a big fan of second series. Gokusen 1 was good enough for me.

Kame is definitely my favorite. ZOMG, I loved him in Nobuta. *gasp* And Akira as well.

Gokusen 2 was a cute drama, mainly because it had Kame, Jinny, and Teppers in it. Her fighting seemed really fake to me, like she was an invincible person. xD

I still need to see Gokusen 1. I want to see it so badly. It looks/sounds interesting, and it had MatsuJun in it from Arashi. x3
