I am aware Gackt did not write "Next Decade." That was my exact point; I was just trying to say that it sounded like a song that Gackt would write himself, instead of something made my another person. I guess I meant that it "fits" Gackt very well. "Journey" not so much, really.

And true, JTD doesn't really seem to fit him so much, but the other two arrrangements of the song are very nice to listen to. :3

He needs to differ & variate so that he attracts more listeners. He's good, but his style is like mainstream rock. And there are too many musicians with singing styles similar as him...

But that's his style. If he wants to change it, he'll change it. In fact, Ghost and Koakuma Heaven sound different than his other stuff.

Even his older songs are different than his newer releases.

If he wants to attract more people, he will... just not with music alone. (i.e. people are going to watch Bunraku and they are going to wonder who he is.)

And psychologically speaking, when people listen to a certain genre, they tend to listen to that genre a lot. Thus, they listen to some artists that are very similar. Which is why you said that there are many musicians that are similar to him.

Maybe you should try to branch out some more. 3nodding

I beg to differ.

In my opinion, Gackt's style varies with each album. Comparing albums like Mars to Crescent, and Crescent to Love Letter, Gackt is not necessarily a mainstream rock artist. As it's been said at various times, you can't really put him in a genre since he changes so often.

In any case...yes, I'm a huge fan of Gackt. I'm very new to his music, but I was immediately drawn in by the song (first song I ever heard from him was "Redemption" wink . And then I saw him. heart I admit, I am a little on the crazy side, I think, which is odd, because I'm normally a very calm, cool, disinterested fan (for example, my second favorites are LORDI). So, yeah...don't know what happened here, haha!

I haven't heard much of Gackt's songs- I'm new to his music, but what I've heard so far I like. I think he's very talented- I love listening to his voice eventhough I don't understand a word he sings (except when he sings in english). sweatdrop

I remember doing that way back in May 2009 for that. Ah, I've got some new information on Gac-chan as well. x3

Apparently, Starting October this year he is going to be releasing new things again with this year being the 10 year anniversary.

Cloud will give all fans this new information.

Although you are entitled to dislike Gackt and have your opinion, I have to disagree that he never variates. If you listen to Mars and compare it with some of his recent singles, you'll see huge differences. Obviously if he writes and sings all his songs, they are going to have a similar style -it is what makes Gackt, Gackt; all artists tend to have a certain style that is present in all of their music.

And considering his wide global fanbase, I have doubts that he's having difficulty attracting listeners.

i've been waiting like mad for a release date to come out after hearing the release date had been postponed from the original date (july - something or other...)

i keep waiting to hear something and NOTHING has yet been said about the new release date...
i'm starting to wonder if they're even going to have the movie released at all.... confused
