Well.... I must say first... That Korean Pop isn't bad, as a matter of fact it is better than American Pop.
There are many ways to find out about it, but since it is an unknown market many do not venture into it. The best thing that you can use to introduce yourself into that music is the Korean Diagonal Arrow game called Pump It Up.

It's not a bad thing at all. There's no rules that says you have to like kpop if your friends love it. Everybody have different taste in music, there is no bad taste when it comes to music. There's no limit either.

lol kpop is just pop music in korean. what's the whole issue? But there is a slight difference like numbers of members or style but not a big change. Some of the music i do find in kpop is total sh*t. but you got to explore more of it to understand. I currently listen to more k-indie than pop now.

I suppose you could like it if you like effeminate boy bands and mousy girls singing the generic cutesy pop song fare except in Korean. The only way you'll know is by listening. This board has disgustingly high amounts of KPop threads, so finding out about bands should not be a struggle.

I hate KPop and think that, generally speaking, European pop music has more substance to it (the Swedish group Kent, for example, has plenty of songs with meaningful lyrics), but to each his own.
