It was, yeah +_+;; I wrote a short [unfinished] story about that day, it was seriously basically the best day of my life until a concert I went to the year after.
Concerts = amazing. You can just let loose there; you don't have to worry about looking bad or what everyone else is doing, because it's all the same. Everyone came to see the band and appreciate them; I haven't run into any jerks at shows yet ;-; [though there was a drunken brawl at the Dir en grey concert, but that was funny xD]
*nod* Ahhhhh. And yeah, I could tell that from when I saw your username xD It's good that they moved on, but at the same time it's kind of depressing; because the prior band was good, too. Like Kamijo from Lareine to Versailles. :< Good, but sad.

And I'm sure I'm going to cry when I see RENTRER EN SOI in a couple weeks. [they've been my favorite band for almost 4 years.] No one else can compare with them in my eyes ;~;

Thats why I can't wait to go to one. XD Dir en grey performs insanely well at concerts from the videos I've seen of their lives, so I hope I can see them before anything happens to the band.
And yeah, it was depressing, because I was just then starting to became more involved with them, and then....KERBLAMM...they broke up. D=

@ poison: Wow! It's awesome that you get to go see them. I think, everybody's just got this one special band, that band that just...moves them more than any other. Which is why I want so badly to see Rammstein next year. whee Anyway, I have never listened to Rentrer en Soi...what songs would you recommend? I've been getting into J-rock again recently...

@ Pixiie: I heard Dir en grey's concerts weren't as good last year....but still. I'm with you. From their videos, their performances seem to be amazing and intense. Diru's definitely a band I want to see live.

Yeah, Diru's pretty good with their fans. From the videos and such and from experience, they like to interact with them. Which is good 8D And I don't think we have to worry about Dir en grey, somehow, I think they're going to be around for awhile. @w@
And that's how it was for me, yeah. I got into Phantasma like two weeks before they officially 'broke up.' I was kinda ticked D8


@ -_gekreuzigt auf dir_- -> Thanks ;-; I never thought it would happen, either.. I thought RENTRER EN SOI was just way too indie to ever get overseas, but they did. And in the past, I didn't like to say it, but.. I think a lot of that was Dir en grey's influence. Satsuki [vocalist of RENTRER EN SOI] really looked up to Kyo to the point where some people were trying to say that RES was a Diru wannabe group xD But Kyo trained Satsuki's vocals a little more; and it turned out for the best in the end, I think.. even though at first I hated it. xD
But yes, it's exactly as you said - "moves them more than any other." RES is just.. I don't know.. divine in my eyes? xD'

Ah, where's Rammstein playing? I've only heard like one of their songs [ever], but many people I've talked to really like them. ^^

Wow.. @.@;; what to recommend.. I guess, it depends on what kind of person you are. I personally love old school amazingly indie RENTRER EN SOI, but RENTRER EN SOI also transformed into a more hardcore, yet versatile, band in the past couple years.. I guess I'd recommend their older stuff to start, try getting stuff before the single called "PROTOPLASM" came out; everything before that point. Or I could upload some mp3s for you..? xD I can PM them if you want.

When my friend first told me about them, you know what I called them? Raintree in Soil. xD Back then, I use to nickname like...EVERYONE and EVERYTHING Japanese. I don't think you want to hear the nicknames and such...but yeah. They were hilarious. =P

@ poison: Actually, Rammstein's still working on their next album, which is rumored to be out in the last quarter of 2008. Then two of the band members stated in seperate interviews that they would be coming to America first on the promotion tour, since they skipped us completely on the last one.

That'd be cool if you coud PM some mp3s, but if you don't have time or if it's too much trouble, it's ok. I can look them up later. biggrin

@Pixiie: I got into Dir en grey when I happened to buy their Withering to Death album. So I like their new stuff....but their older stuff is awesome too. I almost got to see them last year. They were playing in Chicago (a day after I Am Ghost was performing, so I would have just spent the weekend there) last summer...but it turned out that was the same day I had to leave for South Dakota I had to trade Diru for freakin' buffalo. evil

Yeah, they are going to be performing on August 7th next, in a place called Malmö...yeah, I don't think I know where that is. o.0

But no shows recently, I guess they are on break. =D

Malmö is in Sweden and it's a very beautiful city. I've been there a couple of times and my friend who just had a baby lives there with her husband.
