totally agree
anything by Wes Anderson too

the thing about Wes is that his movies make sense in that particular style, I mean it reinforces their message (what can I say, I'm kind of a fan).

But there are others that are just plain "WTF?" such as: Me, you and everyone we know from Miranda July that is just plain "oh, look how deep and indie I can be" crap, just awful.

The Party starring Peter Sellers, it's a movie about a failed actor in the 50's or 60's who accidentally gets into this huge fancy party. Then, he basically ruins everything and at the end of the night the house is filled with soap bubbles, like from ceiling to floor. It's a great, hilarious movie.

My others favorite include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, A Year Ago in Winter, Little Miss Sunshine, Donnie Darko, Garden State, and, well, I don't even know if any those are actually indie.
