Its amazing. It has a great bitter sweet love story set on the backdrop of WWII.

at first, i thought you were talking about "goodbye, mr. chips". there are two adaptations that i know of, but the one starring peter o'toole always makes me cry like a baby.

Tipsy Baby

"Some Like it Hot" was my jam back in middle school as was "The 5000 fingers of Dr. T". I remember "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" making a big impression as well.

Alien Star

I really liked the movie, "The Elephant Man." (It's also a play) Though a bit historically inaccurate, I found the film to be enjoyable and emotional. To an extent I could relate to Joseph "John" Merrick. I am not a very good looking person and I don't have the best taste in fashion which results in me getting rude comments and stares from the public. There are times I just want to shout, "I AM NOT AN ANIMAL! I AM A HUMAN BEING!"
I really have a thing for silent movies! I loved the original Dracula, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Wings, and Metropolis. I think it's the use of music that is why I find the form so enjoyable. I've seen Dracula with two different live accompaniments, and it can really change the tone of a scene. It's quite an art. :3

I also love Hitchcock mysteries. Dial M for Murder was my favorite.
Grease and Clueless!

Shy Conversationalist

The Ten Commandments. Charlton Heston puts on a great performance as Moses, especially when Moses has biblical amounts of sass to dish out to the aristocrats of Egypt. Haha.

Clocking in at a close second is the always classic Gone with the Wind.
