Even though this is a bit old, the movie was still great and possibly one of my favorites. I have a weird taste in movies, but I don't know. I watched it again last night and thought, hey let's spread it around and find some people to discuss it with. So:
What'd you think of the outcome? Have a fave character?
Also, rumor has it that there's going to be a sequel..thoughts?
Ahhh, SLC Punk! is one of my all-time favorite films, as well. <3 I loved the style of the cinematography and narration.
I actually really liked John the Mod and Mike the best, but the entire cast was really well put together. What about you??
Same here! I like how it feels like you're there, part of the gang. Stevo's narration was perfect. Everything just felt completely believable, or at least I think so. Sean and Heroin Bob where my faves. I always end up liking the comic relief characters I suppose.
I'm not really digging the rumor of a sequel though. I saw it on twitter but I've yet to see an official source. What do you think?
Heroin Bob was fabulous, especially in his paranoia scene(s), but I loved the soft-spoken qualities of Mike mixed with his sudden outbursts of violence. Hahahaha. I remember going " confused ... eek ... xd " the first time they really showed him on screen.
As for a sequel...that sounds like a ridiculous premise. I'm not even sure how they would get that to work. I mean, the end provided plenty of closure in regards to the main cast, and if they started with a whole new cast...it would probably be pretty similar to the original enough to just annoy the old fans and not attract many new ones.
Mike is a totally bad a**. The characters were all just so great, I dunno. The first time I watched I didn't really dig Trish, she's was kind of weird but then she grew on to me after watching the film a few times haha.
There's really not much more to add to it, I agree. I mean, if anything, they could probably do a remake a few years form now if they want. I think the film deserves much more attention. I mean just because it's old doesn't mean it's not great, right?
