Welcome to Gaia! ::

Honestly, I wasn't very impressed. Only twice I was a little spooked (a scene toward the end and the ending). The rest of the time I was just a bit bored. I think it was a bit clumsy with tension, that's why. But maybe not. I'm no movie critic or horror expert.

i thought it was one of the most boring movies i've ever seen, it was all hype and didn't deliver.

it's just long spans of nothing happening, and then something really lame happens. it didn't make me jump, it didn't scare me, it just made me wonder how they even managed to spend 16,000 on something like that.

the camera Micah was holding can cost up to $18,000......

well they obviously didn't spend that much on it...so yeah...

still the movie was pure s**t. there aren't many movies that have bored me that much, but it's up there with marathon (which is a black and white indie movie about a woman doing crossword puzzles all day)

and sure big budget doesn't always equal good (the original night of the living dead is a great movie, and was very low budget) but paranormal activity wasn't scary, the actors sucked, the story (what little there was) sucked, the scares were barely there and so scattered it wasn't worth it. there was nothing in that movie that can't be seen in a more interesting format while watching a tv show like ghost hunters.

it wasn't classic, it wasn't genius, it didn't re-define anything, it was something any idiot with a little money could put together.

Well, then get a camera and some friends and see if YOU can generate 1/2 the praise this movie has. smile

if i had the money to do it i'm sure i could.

the story wasn't well-structured at all. there were a lot of really stupid things that were thrown in.

SPOILERS AHEAD

like that picture that was in the attic the one from katie's old house that burnt down? what the hell was up with that? the demon had a photo album he likes to keep old pictures in? or was he carrying that picture around in his demon wallet for a few years waiting for the right chance to give it back? it didn't make sense and it was completely retarded that they even put that in.
the original ending is BADASS! twisted

SPOILERS

It was meant to freak Katie out. The whole thing was psychological torture and mind games directed at Katie to make her weak so that the demon COULD possess her.

WHY MICAH

WHY DIDN'T YOU BREAK UP WITH KATIE IN THE FIRST PLACE?
.
-spoiler-YOU'D STILL BE ALIVE./spoiler

Micah was the kind of person that grows on you.
I saw it tonight, a few hours ago, and I'm still sad that -spoiler- Katie killed Micah/spoiler.

really? i thought Micah was an a**....he messed with the wrong stuff and was way to stubborn
@OP yeah i was jumpy too, the part that messed with my brain was when /spoiler/ Katie would wake up in the middle on the night and just stand there for 2 hours watching him, especially when she walked over to his side standing right next to him /spoiler/ that just freaked me out..
