I'm here because
a. this forum has been moving WAY to slowly lately
b. I really need recomendations.

I'm looking for new movies to watch... right now I have a bunch of obscure/independent movies on the list (hence this forum) but I'm a bit tired of that...I mean I'm not really, but I'd like to have some other options.

So..
I'm looking for funny movies/light movies/movies for the weekend.

Any country/language/theme...

examples:

but I'm open to others like

Killer clowns from outer space, Ali G in da house; Black sheep, The inbetweeners movie, Keeping mum, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, Jumpin' jack flash and Four Brothers.

Hmm. About a Boy? It's kind of corny but I like it. Dan in Real Life. Also corny but funny. Perseopolis is a cartoon film but it's very good. Also corny and funny.

Queer films are among my very favorite, here's a few great ones. heart

The Object of My Affection, a sweet and solid romantic drama from the 90s with Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd.
Humpday, about two straight guys who want to make a porn film together. Yes, together like THAT.
The Rules of Attraction, a druggy and trippy black comedy about college students, starring James Van Der Beek and Ian Somerhalder.
And also, The Celluloid Closet, a documentary chronicling the history of gay content and gay characters in American film.

Also among my favorites are classic films. heart

The Apartment with Jack Lemmon and Shirley Maclaine
Sunset Boulevard with Gloria Swanson directed by Billy Wilder
Strangers on a Train directed by Alfred Hitchcock
The Philadelphia Story and Bringing up Baby, both directed by George Cukor.

Anything by Wes Anderson is light hearted, I love Moonrise Kingdom his newest film. But Darjeeling Limited is also very good!

I'll list a few of my favourite light hearted films;
Four Lions, Diagnosis Death, Where the Wild Thing Are, The Boat That Rocked, The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard.

That's all I can think of right now haha

I didn't finish watching but I didn't find persepolis corny or funny : U (it's a good movie, though)
