I think that this song is about..somebody who feels like they're not good looking enough to dance with the girl they love . (My body is a cage who keeps me from dancin with the girl i love) . but , if he would just believe in himself he would get her and that would be the solution . (but my mind holds the key) . but , he has doubt about himself and, his feelings . (I'm standing on a stage of fear and self-doubt)
