My Bloody Valentine is great, Loveless is my favorite shoegaze album but I was a bit dissapointed by mbv. Glifted is another cool shoegaze band they've got a pretty unique sound.

mbv and slowdive are just so good tho i don't even feel bad
i like a lot of lush and a couple cocteau twins songs, newer bands i like are broken social scene/autolux/hammock and m83 is one of my absolute favorites of all time

Basically. But MBV, Slowdive, and J&MC are so great that I don't even care.

WHIRR.

Amazing current shoegaze band, really nostalgic but extremely fresh and vital at the same time. They have their incredible EP Distressor fo' free on their Bandcamp.
