Welcome to Gaia! ::

Feel free to mention you're favorite albums of the year thus far as well.

I'm looking forward to Andrew Bird's Break It Yourself, Visions by Grimes, and Le Voyage Dans La Lune by Air.

I know they're not on an independent label, but I'm really looking forward to Air's new CD. I haven't looked forward to an Air album in so long, and this concept sounds perfect for them. "According to a press release, the album takes its inspiration from the classic 1902 silent film Le Voyage Dans La Lune (A Trip To The Moon) by Georges Méliès. A fully restored version of the film is currently playing at film festivals world-wide. Air composed an original score for this new film version of the film. " (from Wikipedia)

As for music that's come out already... I can't think of anything. The only music I have from 2012 so far is a leaked Grimes track.
They arent guarenteed to be released in 2012, but i have my fingers crossed for Acts IV-VI from The Dear Hunter, and then Typhoon's new album they're writing. Suppppper excited.

Visions - Grime.

Her sound is amazing, and if she can keep it up for a whole album, then I know what I'll be listening to on repeat for weeks. emotion_dowant

Heck yeah, Grimes is one of my favorite new bands of the last year. Cant wait for her 4ad debut, seeing her with oOoOO and other witch house bands next month.
I already own America Give Up from Howler, the one I was most excited for. Aside from that, I'm looking forward to Spector's, Fidlar's (if they release one), Step-panther's and Willis Earl Beal's albums.

Chairlift just came out with Something and that was decent-ish.
It's not quite my cup of tea, but it's all right.

I feel like a tool for saying this, but I couldn't get into Chairlift's Does You Inspire You. The only song I really liked from it was the one in the commercial. neutral

But I'm curious about the new one. I heard Sidewalk Safari and I liked it, so we'll see?

I hope she didn't do meth. Her teeth would get gross and her face would start to droop.

But the album is awesome.
Pandora's Pinata
